m-w.com says the plural of p***s is "penes", and that the plural of octupus can be either "octopuses" or "octopii".
So, there we have it. Another group of Life's Greatest Mysteries... solved.
Now if only we knew what the pompatus of love is.

Oh, on a side note... our local classic theatre will be showing Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train next month... and the original Godzilla the next month...
it's bliss!

Arcadian is almost an adult in the eyes of all laws...
next (and last I believe) milestone is at 24 when insurance and the IRS consider you an adult.
