Mairyela almost felt like falling asleep where she stood as she neared the top floor, where she hoped the Amyrlin would be unharmed. The battle had lasted for several hours; long enough for something dire to happen.
As she turned a corner to go yet another flight, she nearly jumped out of her skin as she spotted the Keeper. Mercury Sedai was knelt down next to the bodies of a few Trollocs. Her sudden appearance peaked her curiosity.
"Mercury Sedai," she called out to the Keeper. walking over, she did a fast curtsy before pinning her with a questioning stare. "Where have you been? Your disappearance has raised quite a few questions."

Alina looked at the ruined staff and smiled at him sadly. She had put wardings on her staff a long time ago, "when you make a new one, i will ward it for you." she hefted her staff and used air and water to clean off the blood. "we need to find you a nice birch tree they make the best staffs" She sniffed the air, "the Trollocs that i smell are all dead, i dont belive their are any more left. We should also, probably go to the front gate. The Citzens of Tar Valon will need help, and i'm sure the Aes Sedai will want all the help they need."

"If I knew that, I'd be a little less confused, I'm sure. I was in Tel'ar'an'hoid first. And then...let's see...and then I had a sword stabbed into me, along with that Tel'Dashar as Romvian called it...and then I woke up bandaged and treated in the Keeper's Quarters, where all my wards were broken." Mercury said, recalling the events.
She was so confused, that the entire story came off as rather dreamy, even the bit about being stabbed. But then she went back to a clear tone of voice. "The bigger question seems to be what exactly happened while I was gone? I gather that we were attacked, but these aren't normal Trollocs, and this entire floor-which is normally fairly busy-is so quiet."

Mairyela's eyes widened in surprise. So she had been taken from the Dream World. She wished to know more about Tel'Dashar and the attack, but instead recalled the days events. "Things seemed fine in the Tower until your mysterious disappearance. Then everything began happening at once. Trollocs, for that is what they are, were suddenly in the Tower. No doubt they were transported here. While we were being invaded, the sky began to pour rain as sharp as razors. The damage is great, and most of the Sisters are outside. Those who are not are Healing the wounded on the ground floor. Tar Valon lie in ruins. It will take months, even years for the citizens to rebuild, even with our help. Chaos is the order of the day, I'm afraid."

Mercury frowned at Mairyela's explanation of what had gone on. Some part of her shouted that if only the Keeper had been there, things would not have been as bad as they were. But the rest of her shouted back that it was unreasonable to assume things would have been too different even if she had been there. But Mercury had come to an internal resolution. It seemed this battle with Romvian would be on all fronts, and she intended to fight it with her wits and intelligence about her.
"That would explain the broken wards; none of them were set off despite being broken. Most likely some of the Novices or Accepted fled there for safety. Is the Amyrlin alright?" Once Mercury found that out, she could set about helping the others.

((Random spouts of RPing. Also, no I don't know what happened to the Warders that are supposed to be in the dungeons. Make something up; maybe they were being inducted into the Blade Ajah.))
A woman with a serpent ring on her finger slipped down into the dungeons, unseen by anyone. The Warders weren't guarding them; all the better. Possibly they were outside. Who knew. She paused a moment to look at the cells; it would seem a Trolloc had gotten down here, due to the unbeliveably twisted bars and destroyed state of the cell doors. The prisoners were no longer in the cells. She spoke in a moderate tone of voice, to carry through the dungeons, but not upstairs.
"I am not one of the Tower. If you want to escape, I suggest you either find a way to fight through all the people upstairs without weapons or channeling, or that you swallow your pride, doubt, and whatever else is in those bloody heads of yours to come with me." From her hand, she pulled out an ang'real, channeled Spirit into it, and opened a gateway into Tel'ar'an'hoid. Among the massive channeling outside, it went completely unnoticed, as the woman and the Tower's former prisoners slipped away to freedom. The gateway closed, leaving the cells empty.

((Ohh, very interesting twist... cool ))
Mairyela shrugged at the Keepers question. "I am not sure. I was on my way up to check on her when I came across you. If you would accompany me, we can see to her. Hawk was sith her when I left, and I am sure he would protect her with his life." With a nod towards the stairs, she started towards the steps leading up to the Amyrlins Study.

Mercury nodded. "Of course. So then, it would seem Romvian wasn't just bluffing." She said, musing. "Well in any case, we're capable of dealing with it." As they walked, Mercury was increasingly aware of how-among the few trainees they saw-all of them were nervous, some of them on the brink of gripping the Source, and others blocking themselves from it, and a few even doing both alternately. It can't go on like this; they're too frightened. I'll have to see to them after I see to the Amyrlin. And then we really need to see to getting another Mistress of Novices.

"To the city with us then? Sounds good to me." Kakashi stated blandly. He was still a bit upset about his ruined staff. If only he could find himself a nice one wrought from the One Power. That would be a wonderful find. He doubted he would find such a thing, however and would content himself to making a new one. "Alright then. I'll make one, you ward it. Sounds like a good deal. Now let's get on with the clean up, eh?" He smiled a bit and shrugged.

Mairyela nodded as they made their way. "I believe so." As they walked, she saw Mercury Sedai watching the novices, who were terrified. Her heart went out to them. Many just new to the Tower, a place where they had offered them safety and security, and then the attack. Poor dears. She wanted to stop and reasure them all, but she had another task to do first. Wherever she could, though, she gave a smile and nodded to them as they curtsied the two of them wobbily.
As they neared the top step, she looked and saw that the Amyrlin and Hawk were outside the doors, a pile of dead Trollocs at their feet. Hawk had splotches of the Trollocs blood on him, obviously from the fight, but other than that, they were both unharmed. She sighed in relief.
((*looks around for Skiiy* Think he died? Oh, and Merc, if your looking for a Mistress of Novices, I volunteer!))

((I'm starting to think that Skiiy, Hawk, and COTM all got insanely drunk and are now sleeping it off...or they got on a sugar high and crashed...the point is, they went POOF! and we don't know why...))
Mercury stopped a couple of feet from the corpses. Well really; if she'd known Hawk had stayed with Clarissa, she would have just checked the bond to see that they were alright. But then again, visual proof never hurt. Formality constrained her, with all the trainees running about in the background. "Mother, I'm glad you're alright..we need to set things back in order; I'll start on that, but later, I would like the favor of being allowed to speak with you."
Then for a moment, she fell silent, and then she nodded to herself, and called over three Accepted, to give them their orders. "Find the Sitters, and tell them the Keeper requests they each take a group of three sisters each, to search the Tower and destroy any stray Trollocs which may still be present, or to bring back any unknown casualties. Make sure that two groups go through the entire Novice and Accepted quarters. If the Yellow Sitters cannot be spared from their Healing, that is fine; they may continue their task. Then, gather all the Novices and Accepted in the dining hall, and wait there; send someone to me when you're all gathered. You may go." The three Accepted took off, and once they were gone, Mercury sighed. They really needed a Mistress of Novices; dealing with them in this unorganized manner only worked in peaceful situations, apparently.

((Lol, yeah, they've all become fine magicians, disappearing as they have. And that suck, Ali! Damn PayPal. I never use the damn thing. I just send in International Moneyorders. It seems to work a lot better. And happy up-and-coming-Birthday! We'll have to celebrate!))
Mairyela was also glad to see the Amyrlin. She had been worried about leaving her, but she knew Hawk was more than qualified to watch over her. Not that she truely needed it; her strength with the Power was very great. Curtsying to her, she greeted her and then fell silent as she looked over the corpses. How could this have happened?
She watched as the Keeper ordered the Accepted in their tasks, and watched them scurry off as she dismissed them. She recognised one of the girls, though did not recall her name. She sighed. There had been so many new girls in the Tower of late, she would need a notebook to remember all the names. She also heard the Keeper sigh, and hoped that she was faring well. "Keeper, are you alright? You seem haggered, but then again, I believe we all are."

((YAAA!!! i never tried the international money orders *ish going to try* oh and my keyboard got messed up...agian...so we had to replace it...agian...>_<))
Alina and Kakashi made to the front doors and saw that everyone was already at work there. approching the Keeper and curtsied "Mercury Sedai, are you in need of our assistance?" she looked around and saw the Amyrilin and raised her eyebrows in surprise. she was happy to see that she was okay. It seemed that Hawk had taken good care of her.
the smell of rancid decaying bodys, and the mettalic smell of blood hurt her nose so much that she covered it with her sleeve. which didnt do much since it had the dried blood of a few humans on it. "we saw a few novices and Accepted...dead...i am sad to say...we put them in the first room on the left side of the accepted hall." she was upset at the lose of Initiates, since there were so few already. but she could not save them.

Mercury frowned at the news of the dead initiates. "Thank you Alina...we'll see to them once we have the Tower rebuilt. Don't worry Mairyela; I'm just not quite awake yet." In truth, she was a little tired, and her mind was running in many different directions at once. But one of those directions had led to a solution for the damage the razor rain had caused. People tended to forget that she was a Reader, in light of her Dreaming. Just because the other sisters hadn't been able to see the storm weaves, didn't mean that she herself couldn't. If that was the case, it would be a fairly straightforward matter of overlapping Romvian's weaving.
"The sisters are probably checking the Tower for Trollocs and trainees alike; that just leaves the matter of destroying these bodies. Also, Alina, Mairyela, I have a request to ask. I may be able to overlap the enemie's weaves and counter the damage they caused in the same way they inflicted it. But of course, that is too much for a single channeler. Perhaps tomorrow, would you two mind linking with me to handle it? We may not be able to do it all in one day, but if we succeed, then we can speed along recovery greatly."
