*Sigh* The ladies get all the cool clothes. And I refuse to try that kilt thing- it simply does nothing for the hips lol

Totally just got back from SCA. It was fight night. ^.^ We practiced moving in a unit, putting up a shield wall, and manevouring together. Yeah. We need lots of practice. *totally got hooked by a polearm, had her shield dragged away, and was then smacked in the head and killed* It was awesome though, yeah we need work, but it was lots of fun to be right there beside my brothers in arms and part of the unit. It's funny though cause there's this dip in the line where I stand due to my height. Heh.
Downside? I've got a bruise already forming on my arm, the ones from Saturday still haven't healed, and I have a physical on Monday. I guess I'll just bring my fighter's card with me so the doctor won't assume abuse...

Wedsday Maybe it's me overdosing from the cold medicine, but did you just say you got killed? Yes, yes I did. It's a bit of slang among the Scadian fighters. Being killed means you took a hit that counts as fatal according to our rules. In my case, I took a head shot which is fatal, so I fell down dead. Literally on the fall down part. Fugitevly on the dead part. Fatal shots (when not fighting with a great weapon) are head and torso. Leg drops you to your knees, arm takes away the use of whatever arm got hit.

Er, catholics tend to think of it as a tie between hating people and not loving God. Not sure what the protestant/orthodox/diest end is up to over there.

Edit: what a cool sport cool Protestants believe that there is no one "major" sin that trumps all others. Sin is sin - it all has the same effect. Society may say some things are worse than others but in God's eyes, it's all equal. I'm sure none of you could figure out what faith I am now. rolleyes Okay, so to be sent to the Chatterbox, we'd have to hate people and not love God. Phew. I think I'm safe.

I heard one guy who's religious and gay talk, and he justified it to himself because the passage in Leviticus says 'Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind,' and he responds with 'Well, I don't lie with a man as I would with a woman. I lie with a man as I would with a MAN.'
