He unfurled the scroll to its full length, revealing a series of indepth diagrams displaying twelve unique hand signs along with titles and how to perform them. A short synopsis at the top also explained that they were the basis of all ninjutsu, an integral and elemental part of learning to be a ninja. Excited to final begin his studies, Rokuro took several minutes to pour over the document as he tried his best to inhale the knowledge with his eyes. This went on for several moments began he began to take actual action as he tried his best to bring the images on the scroll to life. Post#1: | Roll = 13 - 2 = 11 (success) | 1 success The first hand sign discussed was that of the bird or tori. It seemed to be a very simply construct of fingers forming a bridge between inward facing palms for the most part. However both the thumbs and middle fingers curled towards the center, with the middle fingers pointing towards the earth and the them thumbs pointing towards his chest. He assumed the indicated position of his fingers with relative ease, and checked several time and from several different angles to insure that he doing it properly. After several moments when he was satisfied with his work, he called it a day and moved onto the next hand sign. Post#2: | Roll = 13 - 2 = 11 (success) | 2 successes The second in the series also seemed to be relatively easy to perform, perhaps even easier than the first. For the second hand sign, also known as the Boar or Ousu-buta, required all the fingers to be in the same position. All four were curled inward and after the second knuckle, with the fingernails touching back to back. Similarly, his thumbs were curved in towards the fingers after their single knuckle. The whole things inverted so that instead of reaching towards the heavens, his hands pointed towards the earth with his wrists touching. Suffice it to say, it was a dainty walk in the part to contort his hand into such a figure and it looks pretty darn good if he did say so himself. Post#3: | Roll = 18 - 2 = 16 (success) | 3 successes Next up was the Dog or Inu hand sign, a delight because there now seemed to be a pattern to these hand signs. As he continued performing them, they seemed only to grow more simplistic in nature rather than more complex. The Dog sign literally took Rokuro about 2 second to perform, as it consisted of simply a open palm laid over a fist with his arms meeting diagonally. Forget being a cake walk, this hand sign was practically a no-brainer as it took no effort or willpower on his end. He simply did it and continued on to the Dragon or Ryu hand sign, which he hoped would be a little more of a challenge. Post#4: | Roll = 17 - 2 = 15 (success) | 4 successes As it is said many times, ask and you shall receive. Rokuro had grown complacent and cocky with previous hand signs, their simplicity practically putting him to sleep. Well the Ryu hand sign woke him up rather abruptly. At first he approached it like any of the others, throwing his finger up above the piece of parchment and allowing them to flow into the design as he looked upon it almost offhandedly. But this time around things were a bit different than the had been previously. The pattern didn't come as naturally as the others, and instead of moving seamlessly into the shape before him his fingers joined together in a seething pile of joints and bones. Post#5: | Roll = 7 - 2 = 5 (failure) | 4 successes Just like a poor "Cat's Craddle" player, he had contorted his fingers into one big mess upon his lap and thus was forced to waste several moments untangling his digits. This hand sign was not like the others, it would take considerably more time and effort for him to notch in on his metaphorical belt. So instead of just hoping back into his earlier practices and hoping for the best, he took a moment to examine the diagram before him in greater detail. Instead of simply looking at the jumble of fingers searching for a pattern, he tried his best to grasp their deeper meaning. Yet all he got for his troubles were the beginnings of a headache. Momo unraveled the scroll and the confident look on his young, energetic face quickly faded as he looked at the hand seals with amazement. How am I going to memorize these. oh well I guess I will just have to give it my best shot. Momo thought to himself as he looked at the scroll and tried the first seal. he did his best at contorting his fingers in an attempt to make the seal. his fingers were a tad off from the picture and it wasn't the most comfortable position for his hands to be in. he loosened the seal and got ready to try again. [roll=7-1=6 fail. 0/12] Momo looked intently at the scroll as he studied the hands in the diagram. This is really hard. Momo continued to think to himself. Oh well if I want to perfect my clans swordsmanship then I gotta master these hand seals first. Momo told himself as he continued to study the scroll. [roll=8-1=7 fail. 0/12] Momo once again did his best to make the seal as he contorted his hands in the sad, distorted shape of the seal he was attempting. he bent his fingers up like in the picture but he applied too much pressure as he cracked his knuckles in the process. OUCH! that hurt! Momo screamed in his head as he brought his finger to his mouth to soothe the pain as children often do. But he didn't give up. Momo was determined to master these seals. he took a moment to study the scroll once more. [roll=3-1=2 fail. 0/12] Momo stared intently at the diagram and noticed something he hadn't before. Oh! Your supposed to curl your thumbs into your ring and index fingers. he made the seal, and looked at the picture, and he noticed that they were the same. He did it. He mastered his first hand seal. he took a moment to repeat the seal a few more times to be sure he had it down. [roll=16-1=15 pass. 1/12] Momo Looked at the next seal he would have to learn. It was the Ousu-buta seal. he looked at the picture and studied it for a few minutes before trying to make the seal. this seal seemed trickier than it looked and the more Momo looked at it the more it made him want to take a minute to study it more. he looked intently at the picture and got ready to give it a shot. [roll=4-1=3 fail. 1/12] Momo put his hands together in an awkward way as he attempted the seal. he folded his knuckles like he thought he should but when he compared his hands to the picture it didn't look quite right. What am I missing here? Momo thought to himself as he looked back and forth between his hands and the picture of the seal. he thought that he was missing something but wasn't sure what. he sat there looking at the scroll trying to notice what he was missing. Momo continued to look at his seal, and the awkward formation of his fingers, and he kept having trouble with the seal. he was puzzled at how the seal worked so he glanced at the scroll to see if he was still missing something. Well my knuckles are curved in like in the picture. but I think I'm missing something. Momo thought to himself as he continued to look from his hands to the scroll trying his best to get the seal. roll=7-1=6 fail. 1/12 Momo looked at the scroll and noticed that in the picture the seal was less difficult then he thought. he noticed that the thumbs were supposed to be curled into each other while your knuckles lay flat against each other. Momo then made the hand seal and just to be safe he looked back at the picture, and it was an exact match. YES! two down and ten to go. I may even finish before anyone else shows up. Momo thought to himself as he got ready to attempt the next seal. roll=13-1=12. pass. 2/12 Momo moved on to the next seal which was the inu seal. he sat in his chair and looked the seal over for any type of strange finger arrangement or hand placement. What is this now. this seal looks so easy but I bet there's a trick to it...there always is. Momo thought to himself as he kept staring intently at the scroll before attempting to perform the hand seal. the scroll was pretty self explanatory about how to perform the hand seal and momo was sure he could perform the seal. so sure of himself he failed to notice the water dripping down from the ceiling and onto his scroll creating a smudge. Momo quickly moved the scroll and blotted it dry before remembering to try the hand seal. roll=10-1=9. fail. 2/12 Momo had been so preoccupied with drying the water from his scroll that he had the basics of the seal down. Wait this one is self explanatory. All you have to do is lay your left hand over your right fist. Momo thought to himself as he made a fist with his right hand and put his left hand flat over it with his thumb slightly bent. He had done it. mastered another seal already. He did the seal a few more times to get the hang of it before moving on to the next one with a confident attitude. roll=14-1=13. pass. 3/12 the next seal for Momo to perform was the Ryu seal. this seal looked angry, and intimidating. which was just like a dragon. Wow! This one looks complicated. Momo thought to himself as he dove into the seal head first resulting in, what looked like, a one man thumb war. Well that's a lot tougher than it looks. Momo thought to himself as he looked over at Rokuro who just so happened to be on the same seal as him. He watched Rokuro's fingers intently as they weaved the seal. So that's how it's done. momo thought as he went back to his own training as to not be left behind. roll=1 auto fail. 3/12 Momo looked at Rokuro's hands as the weaved the Ryu hand seal. he then noticed that it wasn't as complicated as he had thought it was. That one isn't all that hard. It looks tough though but all I need to do is curl all my fingers into each other but keep my pinky fingers straight Momo thought to himself as he weaved the Ryu hand seal, and made it look simple. Momo looked at the next seal on the scroll which was the Usagi seal. it was a little tricky looking from what the picture was showing. This seal seems pretty strange. Momo thought to himself as he placed his hands together by folding his pinky, ring, and middle fingers into his palm with his index finger and his thumb straight out on his left hand once this was done he laid his right hand with his pinky finger resting on top of his left hand. Momo made the seal repeatedly just to be sure he had it down. roll=14-1=13. pass 5/12 Momo quickly moved on to the next seal. this was the uma hand seal. it looked interesting to say the least and Momo was not too sure how to perform this hand seal. but the best way to figure something out was to attempt it. so Momo did just that. he looked at the picture and did his best to duplicate the picture. he curled his fingers together just like in the picture but he still felt like there was something wrong. His hand seal was a little bit off from the picture so he relaxed his hands and got ready to try again. roll=8-1=7. fail. 5/12 Momo looked at the scroll to see where he went wrong. once he looked closer he realized he had messed up in a few places. his fingers were curled wrong for one thing. and his thumbs weren't curled correctly. Momo curled his fingers onto each other and made a triangle at the top with his index fingers. Once this was done Momo curled his thumbs so they were touching the side of his palms. once he looked at the scroll he knew he has gotten it right so he did it a few more times just to get the feeling right. roll=19-1=18. pass. 6/12 Momo looked at the next seal on the scroll which happened to be the saru seal. This looks way too easy. Momo thought to himself as he looked at the picture a few more times. Momo laid his left hand palm down into his right and placed his right thumb around it. Almost as if he was giving himself a handshake. he had mastered the Saru seal faster than any of the other one he had done. maybe it's because the seal was so simple that it really required no effort. roll=18-1=17. pass. 7/12 Momo was confident about his training after his last seal. this confidence quickly drained from his face as he looked at the new seal he had to master. It was the O-ushi seal, and it looked pretty hard to do. Momo looked at it for a few minutes and was not to sure how to tackle it has he placed his hands together into a jumbled up mess. He was a bit confused as to how he would manage to get this seal down but he was not about to quit but he would stage a momentary ceasefire to try again. roll=4-1=3. fail. 7/12 Momo was ready to try the seal, and he looked at the picture. he figured out the seal pretty quickly once he saw how it looked. He noticed that his right hand should just be flat with his fingers outstretched. He then curled his middle and ring fingers on his left hand over his right with his pinky, and index fingers pointed up towards the sky making his hand look like an ox with the horns pointing up.  Tenshi had decided that he would finish his training at the academy, where he would think to get some advice on how to pass. This was the last jutsu he needed to finish and then he had a few other little things. He was excited he was getting closer to the end of his academy days. Perhaps then he could work on unlocking his kekkei genkai and getting the cursed gauntlets off. He needed to rest before trying to continue with his training. He stayed outside, where he liked the peace and calm. It was easier to concentrate and to rest. He wondered what Nero was doing and if he had finished yet since he left the compound. Am I going to have that creepy wood guy again? He was a little... bizarre... He shivered as he imagined the walking talking piece of wood.

Crossing his legs underneath him, he closed his eyes and began meditating. He found it much easier to relax whenever he meditated. Not to mention it helped him find his chakra and learn more about it each time he did. It was a part of his training, but it didn't involve any physical drainage or work on his part. All he had to do was separate his mind from the rest of the world and concentrate on his breathing and the flow of chakra inside himself. It was one thing he found to be fun from the academy. What could be better than resting and fun at the same time? Absolutely nothing, he thought to himself enunciating each syllable slowing as he did.

The secret to meditating was not speaking. If he let anything distract him, it would throw him for a loop and he may lose energy, which he wanted to avoid. He wasn't deep in mediation when he was training in it, just meditating to restore his chakra. Sometimes he had to catch himself from going too deep into himself so he could come back and continue his training. he wondered where some of the other students were at. Perhaps some couldn't make it today. I guess that means more time for myself to learn... Without others there to distract him, he concluded he would get the job done faster... although it was rather boring to train by yourself.

He placed his hands on his knees. He often wondered if there was any other way to meditate. He could form a handseal, but he didn't want to waste the chakra that he was storing. He opened his eyes and looked around at the scenery. He hadn't been to another village, but he would always enjoy the sights of Kiri. It didn't seem very busy and looked rather easy-going. From what he heard of Konoha, there were people everywhere at all times. Perhaps he would get the chance to go and see for himself someday. He would probably feel homesick, but he would deal with it. He could feel the chakra coming back to him, but he wasn't fully recovered yet. He wanted to wait until he was, to avoid any chance of becoming unconscious.

Now he was getting impatient. He wanted to finish it and move on to something different. He was always eager to learn new things, but he never would have guessed it would take this long to learn something. He had patience, but even he had fuse that eventually ran low. He wondered what was next on the list after finishing the jutsus. Maybe something that I can use against someone. All this stuff I have been taught is nothing more than to defend myself. I want to learn something to use in order to put me at the advantage... He decided he would ask his sensei the next time he saw him. There had to be something to learn... there always was.

Starting to feel rejuvenated, he began preparing himself to train. He gave a big yawn and stretched as he stood up. His legs felt like gelatin from sitting for so long. The tingling feeling was beginning to creep up his legs. He wrapped his hands around his legs and as if milking his leg, pushed the blood down to his feet. The feeling felt rather weird, but it helped nonetheless. "I hate it when my limbs fall asleep on me... it's like carrying dead weight..." He moved his arms and legs, loosening them up. He wasn't sure why. It wasn't like he was doing push-ups or anything like that. Just a habit of the mind when stretching... He nodded as he moved his hair, beginning to summon the chakra.

After being fully rested, he knew it was time to continue with the training. What were the seals again?.... Sheep and tiger, that's right... here it goes. He formed the handseals and concentrated on a large rock. Something that wouldn't look to out of the ordinary outside.
He felt himself stronger and more durable. He wasn't actually a rock, but very much disguised as one. He felt like he couldn't move... of course he couldn't... he was a rock! Even if he wanted to, he felt way too heavy and just felt like laying there. This is what it must feel being a rock...interesting... very interesting. He continued flowing the chakra around him to see how long it could last.

I don't want to hear any of you say I quit, I can't, I don't want to, or anything that could be perceived as such. Your young, you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it. Rule number three, Have fun, but don't ruin anybody elses. Your a shinobi in training. If you don't love your job it won't love you back. Do what you can to make training fun and I promise that when the time comes you will be an excellent shinobi' and come back home after every mission with a big smile on your face." She popped off the desk and said, "That said, I have been slowly working my way down the chain. I have been A field mission commander, A Squad leader for a jonin squad, the leader of the explosives and E.O,D. division, a Squad leader for a genin, and eventually a chunin squad, but now I'm here. Its not what I am used to, so I am very out of my element here in the classroom. I prefer to do trainings outside if that is okay with most of you, that way I can be a little more comfortable." She looked around and said, "Any questions?"

[[First Will Save (1) 7, second Training]] Tenshi watched as he saw the woman pass by into the academy, blowing a bubble of gum. He had never seen her before, and would have remembered if he did. The rock had literally picked itself up and fell over on its back at the sight of her. She was practically a goddess in his eyes; her hair, knee high boots... definitely the boots... He didn't hear anything she said, due to being outside as she spoke to the students inside.
He mentally snapped back to his training, concentrating on the image of the rock in his mind. It was rather hard to do after seeing her walk past him into the academy. The chakra cloak faultered for a moment, but then regained its composure as he remained a rock. He gave a mental sigh as his training continued. He judged he was about halfway done with his training, thankfully so he could figure out what to do next... and of course look at her again.

Tenshi continued to try and concentrate on his image of a rock, but it kept faltering thanks to the woman who had walked into the academy. He poofed back to his normal self was laying on his back on the ground. He felt warm and a drop of sweat fell from his forehead. He had exhausted quite a bit of chakra trying to maintain his concentration. He could have gotten it under control, but it was his fault... Now his mind was going to go nuts, and all he could do now was rest. If he tried again, he could exhaust all his strength, and that would not be good... especially in front of her.

Tenshi looked around him. With the new teacher coming in and making practically everyone drool, it was beginning to grow loud and ruined his concentration. He wanted to stay and meet the new teacher, and probably faint at the thought of talking to her, but he wanted to finish this training more. He could feel he was on the edge of finishing it and didn't want any distractions. Of course, now her image would be implanted in his memory for ages to come, but what was he going to do? He needed someplace quiet and relaxing. The library would work... but that was surrounded by people. Sure it was supposed to be quiet, but they always seemed to talk loud. The only other choice he had was the shore. He shrugged his shoulders, It should be peaceful there... He looked behind him before running off, slipping out of the academy grounds.
