[[Enter from meikyuu caves]]

Stumbling into town, Hitomi was finally beginning to shake out of her daze. Kon~kou circled above, carrying a weighted backpack that encouraged worried stares from the villagers she flew over. Hitomi had left the pickaxe and the broken lamp inside the cave, and had dropped the other lamp as soon as she'd seen the light at the end of the tunnel. She stepped into the marketplace and looked for somewhere anywhere that bartered metals.

It wasn't particularly difficult. it was Iwa, after all. She was tired, she was irritated and she was fed up. She never used money. She lived on the streets, she stole her food or hunted it down with Kon. What she went into that store with today, she'd never needed nor cared about before. She came out -after ten minutes of examination of the ores- with twenty pounds of processed aluminum, two ounces of gold in ore, a headache, and one less kunai than she went in with. Behind her, she left a very confused street merchant, thirty pounds of iron in ore, four pounds of aluminum in high-concentration bauxite, fourteen ounces of goldin ore, and a kunai stabbed into his table from when Hitomi got fed up with his systematic examination of every rock she'd given him. She'd given him much more than she needed for the aluminum, but it didn't really matter to her. Money was a commodity that she could -and did- live without.

Hitomi took a piece of parchment and scrawled the word 'there' on it in black ash, stabbing a kunai through the paper, securing it to the dirty backpack that held the aluminum, and held the strap out to Kon~kou. "Navalie." Hitomi remembered the first time she'd ever thought of telling Kon to go to Chisaki. Right before Gig killed her. Luckily, she hadn't needed to. As it was, Hitomi watched Kon fly towards Kaijinbo's shop, bypassing all the houses inbetween, making it there in a fraction of the time Hitomi could have, stumbling all the way.

Hitomi turned and walked up the wall of a nearby house to get away from the noise on the street. She winced at the glare from the roofs, but closed her eyes (eye?) and walked towards Kaijinbo's shop, taking deep breaths to try and get oxygen back into her system. She couldn't tell how long she'd been in there, so she couldn't tell exactly how much damage had been done, nor could she tell just how much she had breathed in on her way out. She'd figure it out sometime. Right now, she needed to relax. She looked up to the sky -away from the sun- and sighed as she calmed down.

Kon~kou had been stalking them the whole time, and knew where Navalie was. Flying towards the same door she'd seen Navalie and Hitomi enter, Kon pulled up sharply and opened her talons, letting the backpack hit the floor and roll through Kaijinbo's shop to stop by his counter.

((gahh i guess ill post))

As the door opened so suddenly, multiple clanks and locks on steell would be heard, the noise of weapons cocking reading to fire. But as the bag hit the floor it had the instinct echo of that of aluminum, processed aluminum for that matter. "Sigh...i needed it unprocessed stupid girl....." He knew she wassent in the room and would give a sigh, then suddenly he slide slide his hand across the wood counter to purposely get a splinter. Just enough for a single drop of blood to drip falling downwards on to the floor, suddenly as it hit a large black marking seems to crawl out for the center of the blood then it would poof in to large cloud of smoke. As the smoke cleared was ...something covered in a cloak seemed to be hunching over. Suddenly as soon as it appeared it would begin to move, but it did not walk but seemed to float with not movments, execpt the wind blowing the cloak around. The creature? would then exit from the shop and pause for a moment, before it would being to literaly make several series of turns directly torwards hitomi. In little to no time at all the device loomed over her, no words no movement no sound only something shrouded in the shadow of a cloak something somewhat large.

Looking up at... Whatever this thing was... Hitomi stood still, numbly pulling a kunai out of her pouch, still pretty much asleep on her feet. "Are you going to say something, do something, or just stand there? If you're not going anywhere, maybe I can just use you for shade." She was exhausted, she was stressed out, and most of all, she was just tired. She wanted to crawl into a hole and forget all of this, but she'd have to settle for standing and waiting for whatever the hell this thing was to make a move.

It would make a odd almost bug chatter, but it wassent natural it sounded metallic, the head which was cloaked would then move it head back and to left as if suggesting to follow it somewhere. Then it would turn and begin to slide away, it was weird as one could tell the thing was standing as it moved it left prints in the soil, but these are prints a shinobi may have ever seen like a track always leaving the same marking in the soil over and over, made no noise and didnt have to move legs as if it was slideing.

((Sorry this took so long my man. Been super busy. Let's get those 20 posts!))

Amaya eyed the scroll carefully that Ryoko had stabbed into the pillar. Her head tilted to the side just slightly while she listened to the history behind the style they were to use as a base to create their new jutsu. A half smile crept along her lips once Ryoko easied her self into her fighting stance. So the name of the game is disable and disarm...should be interesting, she thought to herself. This was going to be a whole new approach to fighting. "Alright. I'm ready." Taking in a quick breath, Amaya setteled into her own basic taijutsu fighting stance. Then she rushed in for the charge, throwing a quick jab at Ryoko, followed by a turn kick and a jumping back kick. It wasn't anything to fancy or original, but it was delivered at her fastest. The best way to test anything new was to keep it basic.

Hitomi followed, noting these things, but not getting suspicious or overly defensive. She just walked, exactly thirteen feet behind it, and focused on not passing out. Up ahead, she made sure that Kon was in sight at all times. She wasn't in top condition --in many ways-- and she just wanted to lay down and go to sleep... But her poise wouldn't let her do that. She could keep functioning for days completely unconscious because the situation didn't suit any other course of action. She had proven this many times before. At this point, she was functioning in a complete fog, and was technically in an alert state of sleepwalking.

"Shizuka! Watch-...!" Shinratsu's eyes suddenly widened, intuition screaming at him: never turn your back to the enemy! Too late. A kunai struck his arm. “Tsk.” Shin pulled out the kunai, allowed it to be torn out as quickly as the metal blade had pierced flesh. Something...was wrong... Shin’s expression darkened. What...he can’t move his arm... s**t! Was that kunai poisoned? The blood loss was making him feel woozy...Shin griped his arm, as the blood dripping down his arm, soaking the long sleeves of the robe, began freezing. Great. He thought sarcastically. What excellent timing. Blasted Hyouton… But he couldn’t fall unconscious, no...that will be as horrible as abandoning Rai and Shizuka on the actual field...he can’t, he just can’t... Yet consciousness was slipping away, with each drop of blood... No... Shin realized distantly, mind growing dark. The freezing was worsening the damage, destroying skin and muscle tissue alike… Does that mean...he...doesn’t have enough wind chakra to impede the process...? Stay awake! Stay awake...

Ryoko looked to the girl. He form was off... way off. She'd have to punish her for such sloppy work after this was done but it was probably for the better since Ryoko was going into territory she wasn't comfortable with. She prefered to go hard and fast, hammer everything in her way. Going defensive was so weird to her. She almost directly smacked the girl in the head but remember what she was there for.

A deep breath left her lips as she glanced to the girl and stepped back. She began to go into the attack and deflected the arm away by blocking inward with her arm.

[[trying to get 3 10s or higher.

Here's how we'll do it, we'll split the training. The first half of the training, you'll be attacking Ryoko who already has an idea of how the attacks should look. Once she gets the general idea, she will tutor you on what she has discovered while finalizing the idea. In short, we both get training and we both kill the 20 days but make it far more interesting. Your DC will always be hire than hers though.

Also, from now on, do 4 rolls. 3 for your attacks, and the last 1 is to check the learning DC. Does that make sense?]]

Ryoko grinned as she stepped back. She was learning the footwork of the attack first and formost. Slipping back, she deflected the last two attacks and got into a good position. "Alright love, come at me again. Keep coming at a pretty moderate speed. This is how a Takamichi trains!"

Hitomi smiled as she left the academy and began walking towards the hospital to visit for the first time since she'd escaped to take her exams. But now, she was going because she wanted to... And she wasn't being carted in by ANBU. Thank the Winds for that small comfort. But at least she wasn't alone. Keiko was the only person she felt could accompany her... She never wanted anyone to know. She never wanted them to know she was even more broken than before... She took a deep breath, pulling in the air as though it could give her the strength to actually go through with this... She was breathing as an excuse to tighten her hand. She was pulling as much support from Keiko as she possibly could. She forced her eyes down to keep herself from looking for a way out. Each step took her forward... Each breath made her want to go back.

When holding hands you can always tell someone's thoughts and feelings. Keiko could feel Hitomi tensing up, debating on whether to run or keep going. she looked up to Hitomi, the girl that was strong and beautiful, "All broken things can be fixed." She looked back down, "You just have to be willing to fix them...or have someone fix it for you." It seemed like a slow walk, however they were passing buildings so quickly. It was a silent walk, like a walk to death.

How could it be that way? It was a walk to a new light. A new day.

"Of course. There's always something to be done. I guess I'm just worried." Hitomi smiled again. She looked up, and saw the hospital. Her hand tightened and her eye darted to every conceivable exit in her field of vision. (And then to some that weren't conceivable.) She slowed down, the muscle in her calf tightening as she prepared to turn and dart away. But she didn't. As much as she didn't want to go, she didn't want to let go... So she stomached it. She stepped forward, each movement a deliberate action. Once she hit the property of the building, though, she relaxed... She resigned herself. She couldn't just leave anymore... She was stuck until she did what needed to be done. She was glad She had someone there... Not all the birds in the world could give her the support she needed at this moment.

Hospitals. Yes, they can be scary. They bring life and death. However, they open windows of opportunity. Keiko tugged on her arm for support, showing her that she was there for her. It would seem that both of them wanted to run away from the hospital. Keiko wasn't never very fond of them, it also didn't help that Giglamesh had put her in the hospital for four months during the war, and then after she disappeared for a month she was stuck in the hospital for a month. Keiko could feel Hitomi breaking down inside, she knew that she had to go, but at the same time going to the hospital went against her morals.

Hitomi knew, Hitomi knew that she couldn't keep running away...Keiko took a breath.

"Did you know that I was trained by Kinami-sama when I was in the academy and when I was a genin?" She laughed a bit, "It was intense. I was always injured and crying. One day she almost took off my arm when I was about your age." She looked up at Hitomi, "I wanted to be strong and keep fighting. I wanted to eliminate that pain factor in my life. However, after five minutes of refusing to go to the hospital I fainted of blood loss." She looked back down, smiling at an old man that was walking past them, "I woke up 'All broken things can be fixed' speech from Kinami."

It was quiet for a minute, "I've been in that hospital so many times that everyone knows me. During the war it was my home." She smiled, "I know every doctor and every doctor knows I can be a b***h." It got quiet again, Keiko debated about telling Hitomi about her past life, "I studied the human body and soul when I was little, back when I still had a family and a clan, and I healing jutsu. However, I disowned myself from my clan about a little over two years ago. Long story short, I know basically everything a doctor knows. So in other words, they won't screw up."
PostPosted: Fri Nov 21, 2008 8:44 pm

Hitomi trusted her. She knew that Keiko would make sure that the hospital didn't hurt her... "I know you would never let anything happen. I trust you with my life. I don't know where I'd be if it wasn't for you. But I know I wouldn't be living as well as I am... Or for long, for that matter." Now she was just worried about who had already hurt her. Hitomi knew how hard it was for Keiko to tell her about her past... She told Keiko something she'd never told a still living soul. Just to finally get it out of her system "I was pregnant once... Back before I had first come here..." Hitomi's voice faltered. Keiko knew it was relevant to the now, by the way Hitomi said it. She didn't trust herself to speak any more. She felt a sense of relief at finally voicing at least that much of her past. Hitomi remembered two nights in rapid succession more clearly than any other. She had been given all the hope in the world, and then in the breadth of a day --a mere flicker of the hands of Time-- everything had been stripped away form her again. It gave her a sense of determination. She didn't seem to have any hope any more. What did she have to lose? She stepped forward into the hospital.

Keiko stopped at the door of the hospital, things where piecing together, slowly but surely. It was hard, Hitomi's life was becoming more and more like hers.

There was a memory flash back, the cold night. The moon shining. Running. Out of breath. Then pain to her lower region. Yelling. Laughing. Screaming. Blackness.

Realizing that it was just a flash back, Keiko took a breath and walked inside. Everyone had their secrets, everyone had faults, and everyone made mistakes. Why couldn't Keiko accept that?
