Joe spun, hands aflame as his eyes turned white.
Marco slid up to the hole in the box and poked his head out. He was ready to pull back instantly.
((Bayer and Jacob, post in CTSP.))

((Oh, and Fyrin.))
"I don't know, you tell me," Fyrin tried. "I'm not doing it." This was a pretty frank lie, but on the other hand Gertrude was insane.

Hmm.
"Any ideas?" Paul asked Marco.

"Well, I'm looking at about twenty feet of space, then a wall," Marco said slowly. "So, my idea is to get out of the box and actually look at the enemy base, huh?" He slid out of the box and put his back to it, waiting for Paul to join him.

((Ah, I'd assumed you were already hiding behind the box. Well, you know what you'll see when you're the rest of the way out.))
"Yes, you are. You're a bad liar," Gertrude responding in her flat, dull voice.
--
Joe saw a...
A...
A fishdragon? It was in the water, but it... didn't look very friendly. It stared at Joe with beady fish-eyes.
Just... glaring.

((Wait, what? What do we see?))
Joe glared right back at him. Glowing balls of white fire might appear a bit more intimidating than beady fish eyes.

"You're insane," Fyrin responded and started moving towards the opening in the gap, still building on explosive force.
Paul asked, "Okay, now any ideas?"

... There were two Grand Armors shoulder-to-shoulder glaring down the dead-end hallway, with kneeling Knight Armors and Augmentation Armors extending their arms down the hallway.
--
The fish floating a little higher, still staring at Joe. Its spined dorsal fin broke the surface Ploosh Joe stared at his soaked hands. Had the fish-dragon-thing just spat on him? It had! The fishdragonthing just spat water on him!
Stupid wildlife....
--
"What are you going to do with that much explosive power?" Gertrude asked, ignoring Fyrin's assertion, staring at him with her head tilted.

Marco plopped back down behind the box. "Well s**t. What the hell are we supposed to do?"
Joe shook his hands off. He had no idea if this crap was poisonous or not.

"Blow something up," Fyrin offered. He'd need to stay in control of the detonation; he was approaching papers, and if he blew them everywhere he'd never find what he needed.
---
Paul shrugged. "Give ourselves up, or blast a hole out. We could go back down and have Darius drill us a hole. We have, what, twenty minutes? That could be long enough to drill and fly for home... Oh, or Darius could... DARIUS! KNOCK THE GROUND OUT FROM UNDER THEIR FEET!"
Darius proceeded to throw another foot of height away into a detonation under the Armors.

Marco focused his efforts on trying to blast through the wall behind them.

Gertrude giggled. "I got you to admit you're going to explode something!" she declared triumphantly.
--
((No, it really was always just water.))
The wall held. The wall held quite firmly.
The floor, not as well. It buckled a few inches... but then, the room was very deep underground.

Fyrin nodded. "Yeah... well, I'm just here to file some paperwork but your... friends have prevented me. Would you care to give me a hand?"
