Tien stayed silent, but he did turn slightly so that he was looking at her. She wasn't doing what he thought she was...it just wasn't possible.

Brascus Remus trotted through the crowd of people. His ears were down, giving him his guise as a dog. He came up next to Lina, nudging her hand with his nose as he did so. He met her looked up at her face to connect and make a message. I'm sorry for my actions... Now let's hunt Rajen. He put his nose back down and began looking for the pine and blood scent.

Remus followed her, slipping in after her. He looked around for a moment before sitting down and looking at her with his head cocked to one side. His tail twitched back and forth.

She knelt down and showed Remus the symbols on her wrists. They were moving with a life of their own.

Remus shifted to his hybrid form, his hands gently holding her wrists. After a short time, he looked away, the patterns making his eyes hurt. "Do you have any idea what this means?"

Lina stayed silent, raising her hands towards the deeper areas of the alley. The symbol slowly stopped, grouping back into their first forms and glowing with a black aura. A black power flowed from her hands, making everything that it touched freeze over. Lina was sure that if it touched a living thing that being would die a slow death.
Her hand slowly fell to her side as her head looked down towards the ground.

Remus stared in shock and awe. "My gods..." He shook his head and saw her looking down. "Are you alright...?" He moved a few steps closer to her.

The book...
The words echoed in his mind as he looked into her eyes. "You are only capable of efficiency aren't you...?" He looked at her carefully. "What do you suggest we do next then?"

There was no reply. Not even a smirk to idicate whether Lina heard him or not...if that was even Lina. The person merely walked deeper into the alley, looking straight ahead.

Remus set his own face in stone and followed. He prepared himself for anything, even an attack from Lina. After her difficulties with Aurora he wasn't sure what to expect.

The one thing about the book that Moneko had warned Lina about time after time again was the fact that it's power was directly from each Leader, meaning if you looked into it, your mind may be bent to do their bidding...or worse. This was Dorien they were dealing with now and not a playful Leader. He killed and enjoyed every bit of it. Her will was in his hands now...
Lina had her hand in a prayer style, her eyes closed as she walked, the alley getting longer and darker with each footstep.

Remus continued to follow, ever muscle in his body tense. His anxiety continued to rise as they went further. He kept a quick step, trying to calm himself.

She suddenly stopped adn turned around, her head still held down as she said, "I will be here on the day when the moon is blind to the world. She will give me the sacrifice I want. Nothing more. Nothing less."
