"Well, alright, I guess-" Part of the wall popped out. Didn't explode, it just flopped out. In flew a little black beetle. Its voice was incongruously low - it was Darius.
"Hey, guys, thought I'd pop in and check on you. Your mana signals kinda reappeared so I thought, hey, why not? Whatcha doin'?"
"Blowing the place up," Paul offered.
"I'm in." His body expanded from beetle form; at the moment he was only seven feet tall, but that was still pretty burly for someone with no head. "So... now?"
"Yes..." Paul offered.
"Okay," Darius grinned, thrust both fists up, and lost four feet in height to a massive burst of fire and earth thrust up from below the building.

"Oh s**t!" Marco said. He dove, slapping a hand on the main rune in the center of the floor and pumping a whole shitton of mana into it.

Jacob stayed in the back, helping the stragglers keep up with the rest. He picked up a couple of the smaller children and carried them along.

((It's contained in the summoning circle by a timed-release mana sphere. They have about twenty minutes to get out before the sphere shuts down and the black hole starts eating.))

The light within the summoning circle from floor to ceiling disappeared, forming a black cylinder.

Marco looked at Paul, winked, then dashed up the stairs.
Joe nodded. "Chuck me through, then as many of them at a time as possible. I'll catch them on the other side."

"If you want," Maiyeta replied with a laugh. She grabbed Joe's torso and hurled him into the glowing sky.
Fade to white....
Joe found himself standing on the bank of a river. Several oversized fish were swimming around beneath the water.

Joe stretched and looked around. He swirled his hands around and made a gargantuan cushion of air, that took up about a square half-mile.

In a few minutes, all of the civilians and Jacob were on the reality side of the leyline.

"Thank you!" Joe shouted and pulsed, hoping Maiyeta would hear.
He turned to the people. "All right, guys, we just need you to make some kind of orderly group and walk! We're almost there!"
Joe turned and began to walk upstream.

Paul was right behind Marco, but he added something before the hit the box - "Check before you jump out. We should have some serious damage and Engineer casualties and panic up here, but they might be organizing." He realized he'd left his amazing hat behind; oh well, too late now.

A quick peek showed there were two Grand Armors shoulder-to-shoulder glaring down the dead-end hallway, with kneeling Knight Armors and Augmentation Armors extending their arms down the hallway.
Oh dear.
