Vhan nodded to Julian. "They're right you know. I was watching, and I can't thank you enough for helping them." he told the older male. "I think Felix and I were the ones who would've gotten in the way. We're both beginner's." he said with a soft laugh.
Shojo nodded as well before she flickered over to Julian and gave him a slightly tingly kiss of the cheek. "Yaya!" she declared. "If you hadn't been helping, I'd still be stuck with that nasty meanie!" she said cheerfully before rushing back to Vhan's side.Kaya nodded to Brayden. "I'll be fine as long as I don't use my powers too much for a while." he told his partner with a smile. He was just out of breath from exertion at the moment, but he'd recover quickly enough.
"Excellent, benefits for both of us then." he replied to Chloe's comment. "I've been wanting to train some of my lower leveled partners as well. Ikari and Scath could use some toughening up." he added with a small laugh of his own. He really did need to try and tame Scath's dislike for Electric types.
Looking to Julian, he spoke once more. "You were, in no way, useless." he told him with a serious tone in his voice. "If you hadn't been helping us, I don't think I would've been able to do as much as I had. It took enough out of me to just do what I did." he explained. "I'm sorry you're Pikachu had to take that hit though, is it alright?" he asked, his voice sounding decidedly concerned now.{Appearance: (3/7}

Brayden nodded, "I know I really have a hard time if one of my Pokemon faints in battle," he admitted, brushing a hand over Gin with a slight frown. The last time it had happened, Gin was the victim in the battle. The Ninetails looked up, casting a worried glance to Brayden. He didn't know what had come over Brayden when he had fallen, but the fire type had caught a glimpse of something strange before he collapsed.
"Although... I'm not really sure what happened after that," Brayden murmured, more to himself than anything. The remainder of that fight was more of a haze to him than anything. He recalled faint memories of finishing the battle, but that was about it...
"Thankfully Gin recovered, and even more importantly, he forgave me for what happened," Brayden smiled, as the Ninetails grinned, tails waving in a brush of a wag as he nodded easily.
"I'm sure it will be the same with you and Nezumi," he nodded, "I've seen that you care deeply for your Pokemon. That bond of trust is not easily broken. I have the feeling that she'd forgive you. Its clear to see that you weren't at fault for what had happened."
"And, if she's willing to forgive you for it, I see no reason why you shouldn't forgive yourself," Brayden continued with a nod and a smile. Gin'iro echoed the sentiment with a enthusiastic, "Niiiiine!"

Vhan nodded in response to what Brayden had said. "That's true. I've never had the chance to form strong bonds with Pokemon, but when I was in the institute, I heard stories of other patients bonding with Pokemon." he said calmly. "They always said that those bonds helped to heal the patient's mind and spirit." he told the other boy as he looked to Shojo. Somehow, he felt like, maybe he was forming a bond of his own, even if it was just one.Kaya grinned at Brayden. "The three of us are alike in that respect." he told Julian. "I always hate myself if even one of my Pokmeon are injured in battle, more so if they faint." he told him. "Brayden and Chloe have bore witness to what happens to me when my Pokemon faint. The Black Soul escapes his prison and takes over." he said as he recalled the time he was forced to wear his other personalities choice of clothing.
"I can't even remember the last time I let one of my Pokemon fall in battle because of that." he said calmly. "But I do remember that if they did, they always forgave me, because they knew I had done my best to help them win, or at least go as far as they were able. Vhan sighed heavily at Julian's comment and spoke softly. "Don't be so harsh on your, man." he said softly as he walked over to look him in the eyes. "You haven't lost any of our respect or trust, ours or your Pokemons." he said sternly.
"There was nothing you could have done to stop that from happening. You knew when you sent her out to battle that facing off against Agatha's Pokemon was dangerous for young trainers, but you were willing to give it your all and battle her to protect what you thought was right." he said with as much heart in it as possible. "Believe me when I say that your Pokemon felt that from you and they were willing to go as far as you were to protect you and your beliefs. They knew the risk as well and they still took it, same as you did. That tells me that they couldn't possibly trust you more. They knew you'd do everything you could to help them win and they won't hold it against you for not seeing something like that coming. I don't think any of us did." he said as he looked to the others for confirmation.Kaya nodded as he looked at Vhan. "He's right Julian. Pokemon can sense their trainers feelings and emotions, and more so, they know better than even we do how far we are willing to go for them. I've seen Kiss refuse to back down in a battle. Even though she was losing and I was about to forfeit the match, she refused to back down and battled anyway, because she knew I wanted to see her at her best and i was willing to help her get there." he said confidently.
Said Tolkis popped out of her ball then and flew over to Julian, hovering in front of him for a moment before a plume of red and blue fell from her head to land in one of his hands. "Take it. I want you to remember that we all trust you, and that feather will be my promise to never lose faith in you, kay!" she told him promptly, before flying back to Kaya and landing on his head.{{Looks like it.}} {Appearance: (5/7}

Julian wiped away the tears in his eyes and let out a low sigh. "Thank you for trying to cheer me up. I know that I must seem extremely weak to you guys now, but I am. I need to become stronger so that I can protect everything dear to me. I can't lose anyone like I did so long ago.."

"Hmm... I seem to be popular with them lately," Chloe muttered, calling Saku from her Pokeball. Well, at least it gave her a chance to raise the Shellgon a bit more. She hadn't had much of a chance to do that while in the mines yet.

"Alright Saku, Zen Headbutt," Chloe smiled as the Shelgon darted forward to slam into the Onix. The rock snake reared, roaring, as he countered with a Rock Throw, stones falling from the ceiling of the mines as Saku scurried to distance herself from the Onix. Another Zen Headbutt ensued, as the Onix used Slam, tough stones scraping along the cavern floor as he barreled into the Shelgon. Chloe wasn't worried, however. Saku's hard shell had endured much worse blows. A Dragonbreath followed, further weakening the Onix, who in turn used a Rock Tomb. Chloe winced, as Saku was suddenly buried under a pile of boulders. However, with a grumble, Saku broke free a moment later, crashing into the Onix one last time with another Zen Headbutt. That was enough to defeat the snake, who collapsed, defeated.
Saku sniffed, waddling back over to Chloe, who thanked her, before returning the Shelgon to her Pokeball before she could cause any trouble.
Chloe turned her attention back to Julian, smiling, "I'm sure you will be strong enough," she assured him. She had to admit, she was more than a little curious about what Julian had been referring to when he said he hadn't been strong enough to protect someone in his past, but wasn't sure if it was best to pry. It still seemed painful to him.

"You about gave me a heart attack when that happened, though," Brayden chuckled, shaking his head as he crossed his arms easily before him, "Geez, when you started to fall, I could have sworn my stomach dropped to the floor," he laughed lightly.
"Thankfully we've avoided rotting floorboards since then," he joked with a smile.
He leaned against the mine wall for a moment, watching as Gin'iro yawned, stretching like a feline before trotting a bit further down the corridor to explore a bit. The Ninetails didn't stray from sight however, Brayden noted, as he turned his focus back to the group.
"I know we've all made mistakes in our time as trainers," he admitted. Most of his own originated from him going off on his own without enough concern for himself, he supposed. Celadon had ended up that way, as well as Slateport, he shivered, recalling the museum. He didn't think he'd ever gather enough courage to return there, and even if he did, he doubted he could actually pay attention to anything that lay inside it.
