Morgana holds the cabbage close to her body as she makes her way towards Moon Haven. Pausing just outside the gate, she looks to the two guards, pulling out her pendant. As they push the door open, she bows her head before slipping into the Haven. Looking down at the cabbage, she hugs it close before she shakes her head.
This had to be the hardest thing for her to ever do. She didn't want to leave her daughter in the care of her niece, but with her being summon she had no choice. Her husband Torvil, he had been called upon weeks before. By them calling her, it meant the war was getting worse.
Taking a deep trembling breath, she quickly knocks on the door before glancing around. With the moon high above her, she knew everyone was alseep. She didn't want to disturb anyone, so she had to be as quiet as she could.
As the door pulls open, Tinania blinks at her aunt a few times "Aunt Morgana? What's going on? Why have you come so late in the night?" stepping aside, she allows her Aunt to enter out of the cold.
Morgana pushes her hood of her head as she gives Tinania a weak smile "I come asking a favor from you Nani. I have been summoned, and must leave Nirendra alone. I do not wish to do this, so I come asking if you could take care of her until Torvil and I return."
Tinania stood there for a moment in shock, before it set in "A war? The cliffs are at war again? But what if...?" she was cut off with Morgana shaking her head.
"We will come back Tinania, Torvil and I will return. I'm trained in this kind of thing from my days as a bounty hunter. Torvil is a fighter himself, nothing will happen to us. We will come back for our daughter. That much I can say for sure, but when..that is another story all together." pulling the cabbage close, she closes her eyes for a moment before looking back at her niece.
Tinania nods, sadness forming in her eyes. She knew the cost of wars at The Cliffs, how many people could die. But she attempted not to think of it that way. She had to believe they would return. Holding her hands out towards the cabbage she nods "I will take care of her as if she was my own. I will keep her safe for you Aunt Morgana."
Morgana nods, as she place the cabbage into the arms of her niece. Pulling her trembling hands back, she looks down at the cabbage for a moment "I will return soon Renny, I promise you." brushing a finger carefully over the cabbage, she looks back up to Tinania "I must go, thank you again Tinania." turning away, she was out the door as quick as she arrived.
Tinania watches as the door closes, remembering how much her aunt hated showing weakness. She knew this had to be killing her inside, leaving her child. Looking down at the cabbage, she turns making her way back down the stairs to her living room.
Snooping around the Christmas tree, Seiji was dressed in him blue pjs ready for bed. As he reaches out for a bright colored gift, he falls still before he looks towards his mother. His eyes on the cabbage, already knowing who it was.
Pushing up carefully off the ground, he walks rather wobbly towards his mother "Momma? Dat Ren-Ren?" he wraps his small fingers around his mother's pants leg as his eyes remain on the cabbage.
Tinania nods down at Seiji as she smiles "Yes Seiji, its Nirendra. She going to be staying with us for awhile. You will help mommy take of her right?" when she see Seiji nod rather quickly, she chuckles at him.
Seiji reaches up again, before he falls smack on his bottom "Ren-Ren safe here mommy." he said as if he knew for certain. Tinania chuckles, before she leans down picking him up in her other hand "Yes Seiji, Ren-Ren is safe here. Now bedtime for you little guy. I'll even place Nirendra in your crib also."
Turning, Tinania makes her way down the hallway. Pausing at Seiji's room, she slip inside making her way to the crib. First setting the cabbage down, she brushes her fingers over the leaves "You like Ren-Ren don't you Seiji?"
When she see the nod from her son, Tinania chuckles before she kisses his bed. Laying him down in the crib, she watches as he places his extra blanket over the cabbage. Gulping, she takes a step back, then turns heading back towards the door.
Turning the light off she slips out of the room. Her mind racing every direction known to man. Some good, some bad, and some she just didn't dare go. Moving into the living room, she plops down on the couch. Her face hidden by her hands, she trembles as she takes in a few more deep breaths.
How was she going to explain this to Zhane?
Shaking her head again, she closes her eyes as she attempts to calm down. She will deal with that tomorrow, for now she needed to sleep.
It took a few minutes, but she finally passed out of the couch. Her wings flutter behind her, as she slept peacefully on the couch.
~~~~~~~
Early the next morning, Tinania eyes open slowly as she heard laughter coming from the other room. It wasn't just one, but two. The second one she never heard. It was alittle different from Seiji's. In fact it was an octave higher. Sitting up slowly, she brushes her hair of her face "Rose?"
From the kitchen, Rose peeks her head out smiling to Tinania "Why didn't you tell me that we were going to have another child to care for Tinania? She so beautiful."
Tinania arches a brow before she shakes her head "What do you mean, she just a cabbage." she stops when it dawns on her, it was the same way Seiji appeared. Slipping off the couch, she moves quickly towards the kitchen doorway.
There sitting in another highchair was the most beautiful little girl she even seen. Skin the color of snow during the night while the moon danced over head. Hair the color of the sky on the clearest day, and eyes the color of the dark ocean. Her wings expanded before folding back behind her back.
She ways sitting there babbling with Seiji as she attempts to drink a bottle of milk. Seiji full attention on her, he never saw his mother actually walk into the kitchen.
Tinania shook her head, before she looks at Rose "Have you ever seen anyone like her before? I mean..." she was lost for words as Rose chuckles at her.
Rose shakes her head before she smiles "This world is full of surprises, and I would say she is one of them. While don't you go ahead and wash up and change. I'll deal with the kittens here then we can head out to do some shopping. This little one is going to need some clothes."
Tinania nods before she turns away from the kitchen.
About an hour later, with everyone bathed and dressed rather warmer. Tinania straps both children into there car seats as Rose climbs into the front seat. Slipping into the drivers seat, Tinania turns the car over.
Pulling away from Moon Haven, the four of them made there way back into town.
