Brass lips curled upwards in a bright smile as he watched his arrows fly true and hit their marks. Maybe, now he could relax his guard abit. He, did, however, make a sidenote of the arrows being burned away and the burn they left behind. That wasn't a normal wound from his arrows This debunked his thoughts that this man was just highly skilled with the fire element, but it seemed like that the more to him that meant the eye. He slowly relaxed his stance and began to walk over towards where the man lay, he kept a single arrow strung, just in case.
"Please don't make me do this." Brass begged the man calmly as stopped, just out the man's reach. He kept his arrow pointed toward his heart in case he attempted anything. "I do not mean nor want to take your life. But, if you attack me once more. I'll be forced too. Now please allow me to heal your wounds. You won't last long out here with them."

she looked up at Sunny and smiled, her emerald eyes smiling softly. "It was the least I could do. Pride does no one any good." Tellus bounced around, a bit like a ballerina or a prize fighter, on her toes, her heels not touching. A squeaking sneeze was heard, her nose wrinkling from the dust.
"Thank you and it's okay, Mister Steward ..." Another squeaking sneeze coming at the end of that statement. She then bowed her head and took a small sigh.
"Mother Gaia guide us as flame lights our path Spirit bind us with our pain as Water washes our sins away Air, temper and cool us as Earth welcomes us into a warm embrace."

The Hummer's built-in thermostat was entering the red as they approached the hole in the ground, which Ruu knew was the one they had to go down, what with it looking so eerily sacred and untouched, so he slowed the H2 to a stop and lowered the air conditioning slowly. It wasn't too long before the H2 was about as hot as outside, thus making the occupants attuned to the heat and able to continue. "We're here, now I'm in charge." He felt as if he was saying it too much, but certain things needed to be clarified, "A few ground rules: Do not go ahead of me, do not fall too far behind and if I tell you to run, do so without question. Trust me when I say you'll be seeing things that were meant to stay hidden, so be prepared." Ruuvan looked at the woman and back to little Maxi, as he was now going to call him, who was now awake and looking around.
Ruuvan opened his door and peered outside, already breaking out in a slight sweat as the heat radiating from the hole engulfed the group. He didn't spend any time waiting though, as every second would be needed to find where the stone belonged and put it back to stop the heat and then defeat the guardian. "I trust you know what sort of traps we'll come to, so tell me now or when we get to them." He looked at the woman again, taking out his swords and throwing knives. The NightVisor fit nicely in his right breast pocket and his gear was attached, ready for the off, "Kid, stay with her and don't be running off, ok?" 'lil Maxi still had the stone, which made him the most important person, so he had to stay with the group, "I'm going to show you where the lady lives, but only if you're good." It was a promise that would hopefully keep him in check.

It wasn't too long before the H2 was about as hot as outside, thus making the occupants attuned to the heat and able to continue. "We're her--" ::Gone. What Ruuvan would see is the Hummer door open and a trail of scattered sand where the kid had run off with a loli-pop in his mouth shouthing at the top of his lungs.:: Weeeeeeee!!! ::He didnt care. He wasnt looking for the lady anymore, or where she lived. He knew all of that, granted it took him walking in circles for a few minutes but he figured it out! Now he just wanted to see! He didnt know the definition of the word "wait". He ran off into the desert with the loli-pop stick poking from his tiny lips, and a stretched set of cheeks trying to fit a jumbo pop, and off he ran. His right hand stood steadily in front of him as he used his new favorite ruby as a compass yet again. Away! Amazing. The kid hadnt even given his name, but he already meant something to these almost absolute strangers. Maybe he'd have time to talk later. But for now, all that could be seen of the child was a cloud of sand dashing off toward their destination.::

The woman did nothing but get out and follow, smiling wearily at Ruuvan as she did so. The boy was not one to be spoken to or ordered around- he thought he knew everything, and thus had to be proven wrong. However, as she entered the hot desert air and the even hotter cave, her weariness... faded. Left her as if it had taken wing.
Her eyes shone merrily as she followed the boy inside. The ruby flashed for a moment, shining slightly... and the aura of oppressive heat cleared, the defensive curse parting as if it were some sort of curtain being drawn to either side. Of course, not but twenty feet from the entrance, two more runes were to either side of the young adventurer...
And they flashed as he ran by.
The floor fell out from under him.

Hugin the Raven The floor fell out from under him. ::Yes indeed it did. But thankfully it didnt vanish. As it fell, there was still enough mass and wieght left for the boys sugar rush to rocket him forward. Feet stepped like bullets running across the falling section before landing on the seemingly safe ground and continuing to run. He didnt even register the fact that he just avoided or even triggered a trap. He only knew that he was running, and he wanted to see the Pretty Lady's house. And of course, that the loli-pop in his mouth tasted really good. The rest, was just instinct.::

The woman's eyes widened as the rapidly approaching walkway crumbled beneath her. Then her eyes narrowed as she continued her current speed and cleanly jumped over, clearing the four-foot expanse. Most of her weight was on her right leg as she landed so that she could continue running.
((And now, we wait for Ruuvan's post.))

His heart began to beat faster as the door closed.
"Vahn..." He looked at the cavernous hallway and then back at his friend. The place was dark, but not pitch, as light could come in from all the cracks in the ancient walls.
"I seriously got a bad feeling..." He stopped midsentance as Tellus seemed to sway alarmingly. Grabbing her arm, it didn't take much to heft the smaller woman onto his back, where she clung in half conscousness.
"And she's getting worse...a REALLY bad feeling..." Didn't stop him from beginning to walk forward, his eyes trying to scan the ground in the dim light.

Brass sighed in relief, atleast his foe wasn't willing to die over something so stupid, however, that didn't make the situation any less tense. For he still kept the arrow strung back and ready. Brass had learned over the years that his trust in people made him very naive and many situations just like this one had happened in the past. And most ended with the the person he had get away or something else. It never ended well, to say the least.
"Cleric? Yeah right, you think any type of cleric would have my skills? I'm a Sage. A Divine Sage to be exact. Which is really the only thing keeping me from shooting this arrow through your heart, but don't think I won't kill you should the moment come. Now since you won't accept my healing, for one reason or another, how about you tell me how to get out of this sand covered hell-hole? And the name is Brass Blake, by the way."
Brass' tone returned to his normal relaxed, and almost cheery pitch. Now the next thing he had to do was hope this guy would take him out of the desert and into the city.

"......."
No reply came from him, as he had completely halted in his steps. The hallway ended and now nothing but a enormous chamber lay bare before him. There was an endlessly rising spiral staircase, ruined and crumbling in several places.
Several doors could be seen on every level; murals and other foreign tapestries decorated the stank walls... however it was not this that Vahn was staring at.
It was what lay within the main floor itself... the pair of slitted eyes that stared him down.
Who dares disturb my slumber...
The gruff bellowing voice would be heard within their minds, stabbing into their pysche. Right in the center of the chamber... was a dragon's protruding head. The rest of his body was presumably buried beneath the floor itself.
It was none other... than Antharas.

Halycanos looked up, scooting himself back from the arrow before raising to his feet, his upper body still smoldering with the divine energy. "I see... A sage then. Would you have fire tonics or anything of the like?" He asked very blankly. Killing one another or not, he was pretty banged up.
"As for the hell-hole, I live around here. The sleeping under the sand is an endurance exercize. But you look like you need a way out. which is rather simple, but not bright in the day. We'll need to pitch camp, or travel to the cave. It's an hour away. Your call."
Halycanos slowly raised his right hand, covering his chest's wounds. All eleven of them.
