((alright then, I know how you feel iris, about the not up to rping thing, I was fairly depressed last week, then the weekend came and my friends tried insanely hard to get me happy again and guess what, it worked! Now I'm insanely tired though *dies*))
The lioness sniffed the air, sensing someone pass by through the rain, maybe it was just her imagination, but dimly, through the sheets of water she felt she could make out a strangely shaped form escaping into the shelter of Pride Rock. Maybe they wouldn't mind if she just went and slept in one of the smaller caves for the night, until she could find Mufasa and formly rejoin the pride. Shaking the droplets from her water heavy eyelashes she padded away from the strange scene she had been watching, feeling that now would not be a good time to show the young one her mother had returned.
With a sigh, she raised her body out of the crouching she had adopted as a stalking stance and burst into an easy lope across the savannah. The smell of another lion grew strong in her nostrils as they flared to bring more oxygen to her lungs. As the outline of pride rock became clearer, she could swear she could see a form out in the rain, was that the lion who's scent wafted to her through the rain? Possibly.

Athari followed a short distance behind Taku, but maintained a safe distance from any and all of the lionesses, remaining low to the ground as his eyes took in every minute detail, from the texture of the rocks to the droplet that clung tightly to the ceiling. "It s-s-sure is!" he replied, still tense.
((what did happen? heart ))

"It s-s-sure is!" he replied, still tense.((what did happen? heart )) Taku looked at him, her ears twiting as she heard him and she smirked at the cub, her green lamplike eyes glowing in the darkness of the cave. "Are you scared Athari?" The fox said slyly, her tail twitching infront of him as she looked at him. ((That guy Kne Biggley died...the british hostage of the Iraq Gang that caught those soldier...Tony Blair did nothing to save him and now he's dead! crying ))

((Ahh... I see. That's sad... but on the same thought.. it's actually the appropriate choice of actions.. Because if you DO give in to things they ask, they'll begin to do it on grander scale because they know they get away with it..
And besides that.. do you really think they'll let someone go after they've SEEN who they are? ))

There's a kind of ghost-like, chilly smile that hovers around the edges of the blood-red lioness's lips. But she doesn't say anymore, violet eyes staring at the children - Kiyowe included, as she comes out into pure sight - her tail twitching. Thunder booms overhead, lightning crackling magnificantly. It lights up the sky, going down the spectrum of color until it reaches black - compelling, awe-inspiring, deadly.
In the next instant, the strange lioness is gone; there's only a faint tingle of laughter upon the air, not very comforting. It's impossible to tell which direction she headed; for she left no pawprints.
------------------
Mwezi still lies there, looking more like a soggy piece of fur than a lioness, still cold to the world. The child, meanwhile, has stopped it's whining again, too tired to do anything else. The rain seems to let up slightly, becoming a slow drizzle, rather than a downpour.
Weather Change! The storm is almost over now; the rain is a mere trickle now, and the sky is starting to break up.

Iris_Virus ((Again sorry guys, I'm the most irresponsible.. I was just feeling so down for most of last week because of a little occurance. x.x Wasn't up for rping.
Ohh, and I don't mind if Koho comes to the rocks. :3 ))
-Smiling to the children he watched them softly as he waited for them to get comfortable, watching the other young lions and lioness' to make sure they weren't startled by their new guests. However the sound of a voice calling his name caught his attention, and he turned his sore and soaked self in that direction.- "Speak?" -Taking a few light steps out into the rain once again, he gave himself a soft shake, before approaching.- "What is it you'd like to speak about." ((Sorry, wasn't on yesterday)) :: He stood up :: Mufasa, your majesty. Will you come down to meet me please? These matters should be spoken between the two of us only.

-Mufasa's eyes sized up the smaller creature, thinking over his request for only a moment, before he nodded softly, making his way closer. A soft smile touched his muzzle, though only for the fact that after all that running and getting drenched to get the children OUT of the rain, the storm seemed to be clearing some. Irony in it's finest. Turning his smile to the male he nodded softly.- "Lead the way then"

Koho's soft amber eyes narrowed as the shape of Mufasa became clearer through the now light drizzle. With a shake of her ruff she cleared the water droplets from her fur to allow it to dry faster as soon as the rain stopped. As she glanced back around her eyes caught on another form with the lion, smaller, but indistinctable at this distance. With a huff of a sigh she continued padding along, slowing her gait a bit though to hopefully not approach Pride Rock at a disagreeable time.

Athari stiffened, practically twitching with indignance. "I'm not SCARED!!!" he stated, raising his chin and standing up straight, nosing his way in front of the fox, determined to prove his bravery.

Taku smirked at him and only rolled her eyes before following the young leapoard, her green eyes following his movement as they walked further into the cave. "This is the first time I ever got this close to lions...what about you?" She looked at the cub, her ears twitching curiously as she waited for him to answer.

:: Walking ahead, he lead the large king to his small den. He lay down in a bowing stance and then rose :: King Mufasa, I would like to join your pride. Though I am but a mear jackal, I may be a ble to help the lionesses in a hunt or any other thing. I am always alone and I need company. Can you allow me to join the pride?

Tail lashing back and forth warily, Athari turned to look over his shoulder at Taku. "This is my first time too..." he said, barely managing to hide the trill of...fear? Caution? that trickled through him.

Sparing no words for the strange lioness' disappearance, Kitwana merely turned once more for the outcrop, determined to have his two charges safely sheltered before returning for the fallen princess. He had suspicions about the stranger so lately having left them, but again, could not spare the words nor the thoughts to explain them away, or give in to them. His priorities now lay in delivering the children to the rocks, bringing the idle one out of the rain, and sleeping. The delicious beads of dreams were already beginning to cloud his mind, slipping through his thoughts in an entrancing dance, flirting with his consciousness. He had been pushed too far, even his abused body not used to this puishment. With no food he had made his way from his home to this place, running most of the way. With no sleep he had escaped the fury of a king, and now he was to play rescuer to one who once abused him in every way but the beatings her siblings and father dished out. Hardly what he would have predicted for himself, but perhaps the guilt of the cub he thought he had sentenced to death plagued him still, wearying his mind to the cruelty shown him. He would never be friendly to another being, he told himself, but he was not cut out to be a murderer.
The outcrop, at this point, rose before him, larger than he had expected, and stretching before his eyes in it's enormity. There seemed a hole in the rock's surface not too far from the adolescent, and into this he duly placed the tiny cub, nudging it lightly with his nose to assure himself it still lived. Following this, he shot Dama a look to instruct her in likewise, and turned back into the now drizzling rain. Time for the princess to leave her throne, and owe her life to a former slave.
