Marcus looks around with a confuzed look on his face. "Can't let me die? What do you mean, you can't let me die?" Marcus watches Rachel walk out of the room. "She looks really stressed about all of this, maybe it wasn't such a bright thing to do..." Marcus thought to himself, while saying "Hey, where are you going? You're just going to leave me here with them?

Marcus stops at Rhys grabs his arm. "This is all my fault. If I hadn't been so stupid, and I hadn't missed that stupid bus, she wouldn't be so stressed out right now." Marcus watches him sit on the couch, noticing the tiwtching of his thigh. "Are you alright, do you need some help with that wound, or would you trust me enough?" Marcus continues to stand in the middle of the room, watching everything.

Pausing at the side of her bed, Calista listened to them talk. She was going to stay out of this one. It's bad enough that she got two people messed up in her life, there was no way she wanted a third. With a small sigh, she tossed her laptop on top of her small dresser and turned towards her bed. Closing her eyes, she hung her head, hoping that they would hurry up and leave. Hearing Rhys plunk down on her couch ruined that notion however.

Clenching her good hand into a fist, she pulled the medical tape that was holding the IV in place off and removed the IV tube from her arm. Flicking the small switch at the bottem of the IV bag, she stopped the flow of liquid. With that done, she pulled the sling off, and walked back out to the living area. Grabbing Rhys, making sure to leave her injured arm where it was, hanging by her side. With a pained growl, she pulled him into a sitting position and began to adjust his bandages.
"Not the smartest person around tonight, are we? First you almost get yourself killed, you get me shot, and now you do your best to bleed to death on my couch." She shook her head softly.
"I'll give each of you an apartment to stay in for the night, cause I get the feeling that I wont get any rest if I don't get you out of here."

"Rachel?" Lynn whispered as she stood in the hallway, right in front of their door. She noted the cross demeanor her sister had and wondered what had caused it. Looking at Calista's door and taking a deep breath, she walked forward a step and called to her sister again, this time with a bit more oomph. "Rachel. What's the matter?" Lynn couldn't tear her eyes from the door for some reason. And as she continued to stare at the door her heart rate only quickened. Something was in there. Wait. No, that couldn't be. You don't just get weird feelings like this. There must be something wrong with her for thinking so.

Facing her sister again, she only looked at her with a bit of pleading in her eyes. Even though she knew if Rachel was determined to keep something from her, she would.

Theonin pocketted his hands and shrugged as Christy half invited him to come along with her. He had guessed from her tone that it probably wouldn't be the wisest thing for him to come with her. So when she left, he went to her bathroom and began to treat the cut on his cheek. He searched her medicine cabnet and found some Hydrogen Peroxide to boil the wound out. He managed to hunt down some cotton balls aswell.

With a deep breath he wet the cotton ball with the Hydrogen Peroxide and applied it to his cut, dabbing it along, brow twitching as the cut was suddenly filled with white bubbles. He grit his teeth as he felt the liquid sneak deeper into the cut, seeping in. After a short while he wet a rag and whiped the cut clean. The area was a tad bit red from the burning sensation, but that would fade with time.

He continued to search her medicine cabnet, ignoring all the woman products, and found a bandage for such cuts. One of those bandages which pulled the two ends of a cut together and held them. He applied two to his wound and placed everything back where he found it. Theonin let a quiet sigh slip from his lips as he shut the cabnet door to look into the mirror. Satisfied with his work he turned and left the bathroom.

He marched along through her house and to the front door, pulling it open and letting it swing shut behind him as he jogged down the steps. His eyes looked around for a moment, shifting over his rectangular shades. His feet pivotted and he headed back to the crime scene. Yes, as stupid it probably was, he wanted to see what kind of work was being done. He wanted to make sure that the bodies were being delt with. It would be horrible for a little boy to chase after his ball down the alley-way to find two dead bodies and a puddle of blood.

He marched along the sidewalk opposite of the alley, looking out of the corner of his eyes as the police put up the caution tape and told the people "There's nothing to see here, folks. Go on home." By the time he had gotten down the street he heard the van arrive to take the bodies away for investigation. Satisfied he turned the corner, carrying himself to his favorite bar. Unfortunately for Theonin, it was near the docks. He really didn't want to be seen by the twins and have them misunderstand his being there and think he followed them.

He paused in his step for a short moment as he realized a second sound of footsteps was right behind him. He closed his eyes in slight annoyance, he was being followed. He turned down an alley between a pizza shop and a factory housing building. Sure enough, the footfalls followed him. To Theonin's surprise, they sped up. With a frustrated growl, seeing the oncoming fight, Theonin planted his foot and pivoted around, umber orbs in a dead stare at the figure behind him.

His eyes widened and his face softened as he realized it was his six year old daughter. A piece of him that he had tried to keep hidden from such settings. "Aideen! What are you doing here?" he questioned in shock. The little girl's face twisted and tears began to form in her eyes as she walked towards her daddy. Theonin knelt down and let the little girl wrap her arms around his neck. He slipped his arms around her waist and held her for a moment before letting go so he could look at her.

"I heard about the shooting on the news." she cried the words, "I... I was afraid you were there." She continued to cry and fought her way back into her dad's arms.

"Aw... baby... No, daddy is fine... No scarey thug is going to take daddy away." he whispered to her, running his hand through her shoulder length brown hair.

Aideen sniffed and pulled back, opening her eyes to reveal her large, chestnut eyes. She lifted her hands and rubbed the tears from her eyes and put her hands on Theonin's shoulders. "Promise?" she sniffed.

Theonin nodded and lifted her up, pinning her to his chest. "I promise..." He then remembered what the buildings were and smiled softly. "Want some pizza?"

Aideen's eyes lit up and she gave a soft nod. She held her dad's neck and turned so her side was to his chest.

Theonin chuckled and held her with one arm as he walked around and entered the pizza parlor.

Rachel looked at Lynn startled, she had been so deep in thought she didn't notice her sisters presence. "Oh... Hey Lynn... What are you talking about?" She looked completely confused for a moment... "Ohh! Umm yeah... now is not the time to know at the moment though Lynn." She went into her own apartment and left the door open to ensure that she could see Rhys if he made an attempt to leave with out letting her know. Walking to her desk she started her work on Harris, she would start following him first thing in the morning.

Scratching her head she spoke softly, "Alright...I guess I can wait..." Lynn frowned and looked at the ground. Things just seemed to be going downhill. That shouldn't be much of a surprise though...things had been going downhill for a long time.

Walking back into the apartment, she closed the door Rachel had wanted open, oblivious to what was going on and presuming she had left it open for her. She walked into the living room again.

Theonin treated his baby girl to a medium pepperoni pizza. He watched Aideen eat, praying silently that no one would find out about her and try to use her against him. She was his baby... his angel. If anything were to happen to her, Theonin would become hollow. She's what keeps him soft, keeps him human. If it weren't for Aideen, all those stereotypes often placed on Theonin, heartless, cold, unthinking, all those stereotypes might become true.

As Theonin watched her a question came slamming into his head. "Aideen... did the babysitter let you out?"

The little girl halted her eating and looked up, softly biting her lip. Tears began to fill in her eyes. "Bad men came..." she whispered to her father. "They... had guns..." Those tears started to fall from her eyes and glide slowly down her cheeks.

"Aw... hunny." he reached out pushing her tears away with his thumb. "Daddy's here now... Ok? No bad men are going to find you. And if any bad men do come, Daddy will run them off." Theonin smiled softly as he spoke. On the outside he was confident, happy, reassuring. But on the inside, a tempest of fear. How did they find her? How did they even know about her!? Theonin always used an alias whenon the job. And never the same one. How did they find her!?

Theonin thought for a moment and finished the last slice of pizza, watching Aideen as she leaned back and groaned about eating too much. Really she hadn't, she was just full. "Aideen, hunny. How would you like to go see some of Daddy's friends?" He had nowhere else to turn. He was cornered and very much frightened.

Aideen thought for a moment. "They're not scarey, are they?" her little voice but a whisper as she asked. Aideen was quite the shy little girl.

With a chuckle and a shake of his head Theonin stood and reached out, taking Aideen's hand and heading for the door. He walked along the sidewalk, Aideen skipping along beside him, happy to be with her dad. He lead her to Rachel and Lynn's apartment and took her up the elevator. Theonin hoped and prayed that the girls wouldn't mind him showing up again. Especially after their first meeting which really didn't seem to have gone well.

He lead Aideen by her hand down the hall to Rachel's door and took a deep breath before giving it a gentle rapping of his fist.

"Thanks... I mean sorry.' Rhys says while he gets back up to his feet. He looks at the couch. "No blood on it. There shouldn't be, I'm not bleeding that much. It's not that bad of a cut. Also, there are stitches." He smiles a little masking his pain from when he stood back up. He was thinking it wasn't right to complain in front of Calista when she was in worse shape then he was.

"As for the room, no need. I have to get a new shirt so I'll just head home. Tyrel will bring me." He was tells her. Normally he'd fidget his figures if he was lying, but that wasn't occurring. It is the only thing that allows some of the people close to him know when he was lying, and with the lack of that Calista had to reason to think he was lying.

Rhys leaves hoping Rachel was too busy in her room to hear the elevator cage open and close. He gets to the first floor. If he goes out the front Tyrel will see him. But there are cameras at the back exit. He figures he'd be better off dealing with the cameras. By time they would do anything about it he'd be long gone. This decision quickens as he sees Theonin about to enter. Rhys turns leaving the lobby before Theonin sees him. He had to find Harris first. He wasn't going to let Theonin get the credit for something he had stopped in the first place. Rhys was the one that figured out what Jason was up to, even though if the plan was a bit safer and would only have hurt the Corinthian family, Rhys would have help the man. But he almost got killed gaining the knowledge of the planned attack, almost got Calista killed. That was more reason in his mind to solve the issue on his own.

After leaving the building he quickly heads down the street, the constant jolt of his feet on the pavement was irritating the stab wound. He has to stop the pain before he did anything else. He quickly crosses the road as soon as it clears then turns onto the town's main street. The safest place in town and it was just a few blocks from the most dangerous. He sees a cop car pulling over a taxi who was speeding two second before. One of the cops looks over at Rhys as he passes on the sidewalk across from them. Rhys just ignores him keeping a steady pass. Rhys thinks for a second about the blood on his shirt then just smiles a little. There was such a little about there the cop couldn't see it from the other side of the road.

Rhys slows as he reaches a little convenience store. It looks like a child stuck between its parents on either side. The parents being a Pizza shop and a Sports shop, both much bigger then the convenience store was. There was an ally on the side of the pizza shop that leads to the same place the fight had transpired. He cringes a little remembering the pain and his own stupidity. Why did he stay after Jason stabbed him? Then he realizes it was good that he did stay. Had he ran he would have just been shot, and it's a coward's death to die from a bullet to your back like that. Rhys also figures he wouldn't have known of Harris' involvement if he left and had gotten away alive. Rhys enters the store and goes to the small medicine aisle and grabs some extra strength painkiller then walks to the counter, forgetting he has no money with him.

Monty stays silence during most of the walk to the apartments. The air was starting to get a little foggy as night began to take control. The colors in the sky behind them on the water's horizon make her not want to leave. During the walk she keeps on trying to say something, but always stops herself. She was still mad at the idea that Christy could actually be falling in love with Theonin. The two girls are almost to the road they need to turn on when Monty sees Rhys entering a store alone.

"I have to get some soda. You go ahead Christy." She smiles a little at her sister; she wants to know what Rhys was up to before she got Christy involved. She goes into the convenience store and walks up behind Rhys as he sits something on the counter. She could tell he couldn't pay for it so she takes some money from her pocket and sits it down.

"Keep the change." She tells the sales associate and glares at Rhys. "You should be resting." She tells him ready to follow him. He would often find ways to loose her just back walking fast and acting like he wasn't even trying to loose her.

Christy saw Rhys and just shrugged. She walked along. She decided a little exercize would do her good and she popped in a piece of gum and started running up the stairs. When she was almost at the top, she stopped dead in her tracks. She saw Theonin. She decided to sneak up in him. She quietly walked up a stairs, then froze dead in her tracks. Who was that little girl with him? She looked like Theonin. Oh well, she thought, just more of a challange. She crept up on Theonin, being careful not to make a sound, and put her hands on his eyes.
"Hiya. Guess who?" she asked, giggling and cracking her gum.

Hearing the door being knocked on she went to go answer it, then realised it was closed. Opening up her door fast and pushing past Theonin and Christy she looked in Calistas apartment to see that he was gone. "Perfect!" She yelled out in fustration as she ran down the stairs taking two at a time. Having completely ignored everyone in the hall way. She ran down the street after leaving the apartment building looking for Rhys. "He is so dead when I find him!" she thought to herslef as she ran.

Calista sighed as Rhys stammered an excuse so he could take off. She knew that he wasn't planning to go with Tyrel, but as she wasn't charged with keeping an eye on him, she didn't really care. Tossing Marcus a key for the empty apartment just down the hall, she shrugged.
"You'll have to stay there for awhile. I'll bring down some food later."

Stepping out in the hallway a few minutes later, it was all she could do to keep a smile off her face as Rachel tore off down the hallway. Instead she looked to Theonin and Christy and the smile faded. Raising an eyebrow at the child, she looked to Theonin for answers.
"What are the two of you doing back here? I thought you both had things to do."
Her voice was laden with annoyence at their antics. What luxury it was to be able to have time to start a relationship. Her arm was starting to throb horribly, and there was no way she was going to get any sleep at this rate. Hell, she still had work to do. Her eyes narrowed as she waited for them to reply.
