Soui she/her - western candidate Soui watched the older teen carefully, her eyes following his movements from when he raised his hand to when he lowered it down almost as though he were second guessing himself. Her head tilted a little to the side as she obediently followed along, glad to be moving with someone and not quite the center of attention she was imagining herself to be. Her heart pounded a little less frantically in her chest as she walked, taking her time to bow to Rhianth and the Fianth again as she moved into that clutch. It looked as though everything was settling down and this might be her last egg to touch and well, at least she was happy to have someone with her. Someone who, without really asking or thinking, she reached to grab his hand over the sheer number of dragons now on the ground in this area of the clutch. It was okay, the dragons seemed happy, but Soui kept her hand holding Dehka's (or at list his fingers) as she quickly placed a palm against the Go the Distance egg. "H...hi there." Her attention was between the egg and the parents and the boy at her side "I'm Soui." Was she introducing herself to her new 'friend' or to the egg or to both? Either way she smiled.

Tsunake Go The DistanceIt seems to perk up in recognition, offering friendly greetings to Dehka. Did the boy...bring someone who needed it?
houllow Go The DistanceIt was very nice to meet you, Soui! Go The Distance perks, as if recognizing someone put their faith in it and offers the girl as much warmth as it can - and perhaps some determination to help get Soui through the trials of her day. She can do it!

Ah! He gave a start when a small hand sought his own--but after a moment, he merely squeezed her fingers reassuringly. Her name brought a bright smile to his lips, and he nodded as though to offer encouragement. The thoughts of the egg were enough to make his smile a bit softer, and he thought back to [g]Go The Distance. Yes. She got a little overwhelmed I think... so I thought I'd bring her to someone who could help her feel better.And, obviously, this egg was the first one he thought of!

Mr Cheri Be PreparedAnother shining beacon of confidence come to try their luck at the egg. Kellan at least seemed composed of more useful stuff than some of the rest, had seen things, had done things. Perhaps this one could be of use, even if his approach was brutish, just thrusting his hand where it wasn't wanted...

Like a startled creature, it seemed to bristle, the presence swelling to seem bigger, more threatening. An intense sensation of being watched, calculated, bore into the candidate's mind, at once trying to hold him in place like prey, and also trying to push him away, chase him off for spooking it so.
Princess_Feylin When You Wish Upon a StarTaibbi at first got little more than a cursory brush of a gentle mind from the egg, but then...oh, really?? The egg hadn't had any idea it was in a pretty shell! But that was just lovely. A dreamy sigh seemed to emanate from the egg, wrapping the candidate in a gentle hug. It was nice to have a soft, pretty shell if you felt soft and pretty too, right? What about her? Was she pretty? What made a candidate pretty? Did she wish to be surrounded by pretty things? Oh please tell it...!

For a candidate, any egg could be a wish come true...and that revelation seemed to do in the little egg, sending it shivering into an almost swoon of delight. It would do it too, it would be the perfect wish for someone...!

She was clearly besotted with its mother—who was admittedly decent enough, it supposed, but she should be focusing on the eggs. On it! If she didn't want to give it her full attention, why would she expect to get its full attention in turn? Where was its secret smile, hmm? Psht. Perhaps she ought to have impressed Fianth then, huh?

The egg bent its focus closer, slithering along the boy's limbs to creep up his spine. So brave, so keen. But what would he do, the egg wondered, if there was no way out? It squeezed tighter, tighter, tighter...and then, in a rush, released. What it thought it kept firmly to itself, however.
