Scylla, Senshi of The Kraken

He didn't seem fond of crystals, overmuch, so while he had not reacted to the Ashen Lilac crystal dangling at her wrist, she still tucked it away. It had been hers for almost 5 years now; she felt comfortable enough in calling it that she didn't need it in plain sight.

As Caedus spoke, his voice was growing more and more tired, and so he seemed to be. She filed away the information he spoke for consideration later. He would not take them to the Rift, but to a castle. Using crystals. A synthetic world startled her- a world of droids? A borg ship? How did that even work?

But people were already offering to be used as a demonstration, so she did not bother; instead she pulled out a small silver flask and a protein bar. "Not very much, but it doesn't ruin the sash line." She was trying to make a joke about it, because hey. "It isn't much, but there are plenty of places we can get you something both more palatable, and more filling." She set the two items down, then paused, and added "I promise the flask is water. It was just more convenient to carry around than a bottle."

Rising back up, she eyed the way he hunched over the bag of crystals, and looked away. Stepping back into place, she went back to observing the crowd, considering his offer. She would offer him a place on her property, but he didn't seem much inclined to accept anyone else's offer, so there was little else she could offer this (potential? ally? Guest? Refugee? Prisoner of War?) Ally. for now. Others were also willing to provide.

Duhr, Senshi of Tornadoes

Talk, talk, talk. Was that all these folks were gonna do?

When the stranger had pulled out his crystal thinger, it'd caught Duhr's eye, promptly distracting her from offering bits of clothing to the fairly naked page. A journey to Beryl's city? She'd heard of the Beryl lady - she'd heard of the Metallica thing, but neither had approached her downtown or in an alleyway so she hadn't been terribly concerned. These were the issues the bigger, better, stronger senshi got to take care of, she figured killin' a monster or two every now and then did enough contribution from her end.

But to travel into a new world? This - this planet Synthetic place that he and the chicken wing'd man were talking about? It sounded like a grand adventure, but she also knew that if it sounded too good to be true... it probably was.

Granted, she didn't know much better, so if Dorado and the others caved in and helped the fella out, she'd follow suit. But only if her partner in crime-fighting took the dive - she herself was far too wary of the situation to commit.

"I don't know much, but I know stranger danger. And sounds to me like this guy is askin' ya kids to get in his van."

Blonde curls bounced as she turned her head to the newcomer. He was blessedly tall and fortunately not buried terribly deep among the crowd of senshi and knights. He was right, no one should volunteer for such a dumb thing in this theoretical traveling the stranger was suggesting, but...

Bare feet padded a few steps to the left, closing in the space between them. One gloveless hand reached out to touch his shoulder, Duhr leaning in and softly whispering, "Ah don't think he's got a van, shuga."

She didn't want him feeling embarrassed, poor thing.

Subamara, Senshi of Coffee

Had she heard that right? The castle of the kingdom of Earth? There was a lot of information flying around, and Subamara wasn’t sure it was all in the Primer. The Prince should maybe submit an essay.

Her own magic was something of an energy boost, but probably much too temporary to be useful. Coffee wore off. But she wasn’t going to be any use in the coming battle, she knew, and if she could put her energy to good use beforehand, that could only be a good thing. She began to move slowly up the hill, weaving around those standing still. The discussion continued while she tried not to bump into people, and it seemed like the cloaked figure had more volunteers than the initial reactions had indicated.

A new word caught her attention. Transcendence. Transcendents. People who could share their own energy. She craned her neck to see the Knight that had spoken about guinea pigs, and the others who had used the word earlier. They glowed. Their whole auras shone. How pretty. How pure. How powerful.

Subamara stopped short, still a little way back from the group around Caedus. If the Transcendents could just give energy as they wanted, there wasn’t much point to her offering to help. It was sensible for them to try it first, and she was all about sensible. She could just observe. She took a step back from the group, out of the way. And then another, half-wishing she hadn’t moved forward at all.

Tomlin, Guardian Cat

Tomlin
glanced around at the representatives of Order, talking amongst themselves or shouting out at the cloaked figure.

“Always,” he agreed with the white cat’s summation. “But no-one’s resorted to violence yet.”

It wasn’t much different to the other meetings he’d attended. Their senshi were vocal, and never in full agreement. Miss Kitty was right, it would be easier if they would just take turns and let each other speak. But that was a lot to hope for. If they didn’t all hold their own opinions, they would be more sheep than senshi.

A brief feline grin graced his features, before widening into an amused yawn. “It takes so many cats to just dampen their auras, can you imagine what it would take to dampen their voices? One of them up there yours?" he added.

In truth, he was relieved that it wasn’t just him thinking the ‘Caedus’ was struggling with the situation. If the other cat was picking up on it too, Cloak’s act might even be genuine. Tomlin’s tail swished back and forth, fanning out over the grass and ruffling it into little waves as he continued to listen, both to Caedus and to the senshi around him.

More distant words caught his attention, and he sprang startled to his feet, glancing around at the speaker he didn’t recognise, Themiscyra. ‘Princess Ganymede has a valid point…’

He might be hearing things. It might have been a figure of speech. Or it could be that he was entirely out of the loop on the doings of his preferred senshi team.

Tomlin focused on the three royal energy signatures - Castor and Polaris he had seen before, if at a distance, but the third princess, crowded by her group, was an unfamiliar back of white cake-icing ruffles half-hidden by wings. From his low vantage point, it was hard to see more than that. Something to investigate later, then.

He put the Jovian senshi out of his mind for now, looking back to where Cloak was discussing his homeworld – a ‘synthetic’ world? Now that would be something to see. Would he need ongoing resources, or just enough to get started? Others were already asking.

“How close is your homeworld?” the ginger cat called out, shooting a mischievous glance at Miss Kitty for adding to the noise. “Does it have technology that would need repairing when you get back?” He was far from the best-equipped Mauvian to deal with it if it did, but curiosity was getting the better of him.

Brioche, Order Cat

... Perhaps he had not been that clear in his words. Brioche had though he had asked a question but this young man seemed far too stunned to have answered. He could not blame him, after all. This WAS a peculiar situation. And from what he could tell, this young one was a Knight, not a Senshi. There was no guarantee that he even knew that cats could spe---

Oh. Yes, that explains it.

"I apologize if I have startled you, but I did ask, do you happen to know what the situation currently is?"

((belated))

"Ah, umm... I don't...know.... Anything," He finally admitted, somewhat defeated, but there was no use in hiding the fact that he was toooootally a whole new shade of green.

And trying to make sense of what was going on only frustrated him. At least now he had gained a few more buzzwords to ask about later. And he would sequester someone for information once whatever this was was over.

Super Sailor Aegir

Aegir knew that just telling the eager young woman wasn't going to do much - she had to figure things out for herself - so he waited as she processed all he'd said; waited as he saw realization dawn in her eyes and the youthful fervor fade with understanding. It wasn't something he liked to see in someone her age (she couldn't have been much younger than Miri, really)...but she was a senshi. She had to know.

"Sure, but you've gotta keep your voice down and try to stay still." The blond smiled at Ambrosia, unable to help himself even in such odd and stressful circumstances, and then gave her the choice of being picked up piggy back style - which wouldn't put her in as much potential danger - or by the waist with his arms looped under her backside - which was more precarious.

"I'm Aegir," He whispered as he hefted the chibi senshi up so she could get a look; lifting the girl was easy and once she was settled he was able to refocus on the discussion. People were offering energy which might just be their undoing, if this guy were lying or working a con. At least I'm between him and the others. Most of the other members of his team were further back than he was, thankfully.

Princess Polaris

Offering food, and even lodging was one thing. They were risks... but risks that could be mitigated with caution. But all of these people stepping up to have their energy drained, blindly.... Instead of seeing what he did with just one person? What if he drained every last ounce of their life force? What if this whole thing was just some ploy by Chaos.. to take out as many senshi and knights in one quick action and then run back to Negaspace? Granted if the situation were different she might have thought differently but at the moment there was nothing on her mind but great concern and worry. She'd told Castor that she had his back and it was no lie - now she was intent on watching them all as they moved forward so carelessly.

Tucked away in the palm of her hand her crystal shimmered to life, waiting and watching in case she should need to use it.

As her eyes scanned the crowd, trying to make note of how many were going forward and agreeing to this she happened to see a familiar face, Delphi and an unfamiliar one that made her pause, Sintashta. It wasn't as obvious as Stonehenge had been... but she couldn't shake the feeling. Was it really another one...? They said when it rained and poured and it appeared that over the past couple of months it was raining men.

"Snowball..." She whispered softly, before nodding in the direction of the mysterious, possible Polarian, knight. "Would you... go take a peek? Maybe invite him over?"

Her attention was still a little strained, a headache starting to over take her not only from focusing on the crowd but also the constant slow mummer in the back of her head of metal. At least they weren't in the middle of the city.

She was filing it all away, each word the figure spoke, some of the louder questions and conversations that she heard bouncing from the crowd. Conchordia had begun to wring her hands together in worry and discomfort the longer it went on and more nervous she became.

The stories they told were new ones, interesting but almost fairytale-like. She worried about the insistance of a suicide mission, knowing full well that some of her Chronos brothers and sisters would surely be selfless enough to try and join it. And she eyed him suspiciously as he pulled forth his crystals and spoke of them. While others stepped forward to offer energy she stepped back, watching cautiously. She had always been a coward, one keen on surivival, and this was not the day that was going to change.

Sailor Lacrimosa

She wanted to yank the kit back so fast it would make her head spin but didn't. She was not the other's mother, no matter how protective she felt over her, and would not baby the senshi of foxes. She did let out an involuntary hiss of the other's name when she moved even closer to Caedus.

It wasn't that she didn't trust the guy? But she kind of didn't trust the guy. It was confusing...

When a new senshi (Fenrir) joined her little group, Lacrimosa gave a smile. "He says his name is Caedus, and he's trying to find his way home. He's offered to get us into Metallia's castle in exchange for energy to get him to his home."

Brown eyes flitted to the cloaked man again before turning back to the new senshi and holding out a hand. "I'm Sailor Lacrimosa, a pleasure miss."

Sailor Enif

Blissful ignorance, something she knew she'd been in (of sorts) since the death of her mother. Destiny City had become a strange place in the coming years and she'd pretended none of it had happened for the sake of trying to move on.

She couldn't claim that any more, not that she now a part of this war. Why did it have to be a war?

"No, I have to agree with you. I suppose one can only be so ignorant for so long, hm?" She was definitely going to try and learn as much as she could from all of this. Maybe. It was all confusing and she didn't quite understand half of what everyone was saying.

There was a lot she had missed awakening now then perhaps at an earlier time.

When Cassiopeia offered a hand, she smiled and took it. "Enif. It's a pleasure to meet you too."

Some how it was nice knowing that she wasn't the only new senshi here. Not that it would have changed her thoughts on the other so far if she'd had years of experience, but it was still nice to know she wasn't the only newbie.

What she didn't know, however, was how good an idea it was to share energy with some mysterious guy. His story was sympathetic enough but... Rubbing an arm in nervousness, gold eyes simply remained watching Cas a moment before turning to Caedus once more.

Celsus Knight of Chronos

He had stood a little ways away from the man on the hill, Celsus absently twisting his hands together. The idea presented seemed to at least be an interesting one; and they'd managed to get his name, which was more than they had before.

But at the same time...

His eyes swept across the people gathered, his heart pounding in his chest. So many were giving up things so freely, offering their alliances, energy, possibilities - and yet there was still so much unexplained. Even with the haze inside of his head, Celsus could not, in good conscious, accept such an offer with so little to go on.

He took a breath and stepped unsteadily forward, towards where Thraen and his cat stood, giving the man a sideways glance, his fingers trembling.

"Do you trust him?" he asked the both of them quietly, because, out of most that were gathered, the Senshi of Gardens seemed more level-headed, willing to see reason.

Sailor Remus, Senshi of Regolith

He was still standing with his hands linked behind his head, watching the proceedings with an expression of amusement on his face. Remus couldn't say he was swayed one way or the other, but it was particularly entertaining to see just how everyone went.

His head turned towards the lemon senshi and Remus gave a ******** yeah I do," he said with a grin. "This dude shows up in a cloak and gives us all a convenient way to things, seems a bit suspicious, yanno? Ya'll are a pretty funny bunch of people, I gotta say. You keep me livin' the life."

He gave a noncommittal shrug of his shoulders. "I don't really care either way," said Remus offhandedly. "Whatever people wanna do, it is what it is."

Elpis

Elpis considered the options for Caedus in her mind, the senshi occasionally looking about with a warning look idly before she looked to the entity gently, smiling softly.

"Well, I don't mind contributing." She offered softly. "I know a couple not hetre - I can try convincing them to donate as well, if I try explaining. At worst though, I'm here and I can do all I can." She smiled, bowing respectfully. If he was an extraterrestrial visiyot, he commanded respect - he sounded a diplomat, after all, and she could be diplomatic, even if nobody believed it.

"If my world offered more - Elpis, not Earth - I've gladly let you stay thee. It's lonely, though, but, the problem I fear is food and water."

And then - a synthesized world! She all but lit up at that, eyes wondering.

"Your world... Sounds really amazing, if you ask me."

No wonder he wanted to get home! Senshi or not - this was amazing! Simply fantastic!.... Though admittedly the computer nerd would love to explore his world and visit, now, alien-ness or not.

"So what do you prefer to at? Meat, vegetable, fruit...?"

She could do something for him, right?

Cordoba

Cordoba nodded, blinking with wide eyes, before tilting her head.

"Skin... Ciontact?" And off came a glove, much like Babylon as the page crept to offer energy as well. She didn't think it would hurt, or be bad for anyone if it was givien, and if nothing else it let her tick something off her list of weird magic things.

"Let me help. If my Wonder can't, I can try my best, sir." And she grinned shyly - normally not quite so nervous, or shy - but an alien? WHAT ABOUT CULTURAL NORMS!? What if she accidentally insulted him!?

AUGH EVERYTHING WAS TURNING INTO INK.

Stonehenge

Stonehenge remained head held high, eying Niflhel another moment before beaming to Polaris, and giving Snowball finally a faint, polite nod. He did not forget Hadaya at his awakening, and with the fluffy cat away from the other knight he saw no cause to look down at or up to him. He was simply present and Stonehenge returned attention to Polaris, beaming.

"It's quite alright. Naught that you could help, after all." She didn't raise her husband to be a rude, idiotic meatbrain.

"Ah, so you are a person, not merely a place. Fascinating indeed!" He beamed warmly, bowing his head. "It's alright. I do think I should like to ask things of you later my lady. If I am a page, to be a knight, I am a vassal of the kingdom, and to that I would like to know my duties."

He nodded.

Puck

Puck ignored the other senshi close by, glancing sidelong over at Eros. "So, um," he started, and just as he was about to start his apology -- which was already incredibly hard for him to do, apologize for losing his temper as he'd done -- the cloaked figure began to speak. Whipping his head around, his brow furrowed as he listened to what the other had to say, then the questions started coming from those gathered on the hill, and more sketchy answers from the one who revealed his name as Caedus.

"I don't like this," he muttered at Eros, not caring for the moment whether she was still angry with him. "It fairly screams all manner of sketchy. I don't trust that bloke any further than I could kick his arse."

He was getting good information out of some of the others, though, listening as the winged bloke recited some of the background and history of the war between Order and Chaos. Lots of stuff he never knew, stuff that wasn't really covered in the Primer. He supposed this gathering was at least good for that if nothing else.

Then Caedus whipped something out from under his cloak. Standing on tiptoe, Puck strained to see what it was. He finally caught a glimpse -- it was a crystal, something that to his mind looked suspiciously like something a Negaverse agent would have. "What the ******** class="quote">

Pyewacket

"Good to meet you," Pyewacket said to Adria and Lysithea, the tip of his tail flicking back and forth happily as others (Enif and Myrrha) came to join their little group. "I am Pyewacket." He nodded his head in greeting, the bell on his collar jingling gently.

Then the strange cloaked figure began to speak. Ears cocked, Pye listened to what he had to say; this was certainly a intriguing individual, if nothing else. Where had he come from? What was he doing here? And what was up with his strange aura? Then Cassiopeia spoke up, asking questions of her own, and his kitty heart swelled with pride. They were good questions, one he would have asked, things he wanted to know. As Caedus filled in more details, seeming to struggle with both the language and the memories, the cat became more and more curious about him. He definitely wanted to know more.

As if she was reading his mind, Cassiopeia asked him if he'd be interested in researching this strange person with her. "Oh, absolutely! Frankly I wasn't sure of the scale of the war myself. I would love to research this with you!" Of course, for Pyewacket it was as much the thrill of the hunt for answers as it was the answers themselves. "And yes, if you could pick me up so I can see better, I would greatly appreciate it," he added, standing up on his hind legs with his forepaws on Cas's leg.

Caedus continued to respond to questions, then pulled out a curious object. A crystal? To collect energy? Wasn't energy gathering a Negaverse activity? But then Cas spoke up again, offering some of her energy as several of the others were doing, as well as asking more questions about his homeworld. He wasn't sure about the energy thing at all. "I would be careful with your energy," he murmured to her. "We still don't understand this man's motives."

Arthur the cat

Te rich history and conflict of the side of Order and the Negaverse was overwhelming, all dotted with key figures, leaders, and fallen solider a. It was akin to being thrown into a really great drama in the middle of its third season and all Arthur could do was smile and pretend he was on the same page.

After a while and when crystals were being shown, Arthur slowly leaned down to whisper into Castor's ear. "I have no idea what's going on. Was I supposed to bring a crystal? No one said anything about bringing crystals. Do you think a phone or pen would work?" Because that's all he could make - that and some fashionable glasses.

Princess Polaris

Despite the kerfuffle, Polaris couldn't help but find the page just a little charming in his manner of speech and the motions and postures he held. Ah the good old days of boarding schools and manners. Graduating and moving out into college and the real world meant she didn't get the pleasure of seeing such manners on display very often.

"It's both a person and place, yes. Have you had a chance to go there yet?" She asked curiously. It was entirely possible he knew of the familiar star anyway, even without ever traveling there. "Basically I am the senshi and protector of the star. And it gives me, and you the power to protect it."

The request for information, at a later date, was met with a knowing nod - though now was of course not the time nor place. "I'll send you some information later so that you can get a hold of me whenever. Phone number and address and such." Lucky Stonehenge, getting a lady's digits. Only.. they were from a married woman. And would likely be coming through her husband's magic letter writing skills. So maybe that wasn't really the same or lucky at all...
