Whitney gave a howl in frustration as her Miltank went down. "AUGH! No!!! No no no! We were doing so well!" She returned the defeated normal type to her pokeball and shot a glare at Avikna. "You carried you pokemon through that battle with your stupid potions. I refuse to accept this as a loss!" She fumed, tears pricking the corners of her eyes in frustration. "I demand a rematch you...! You...! You meanie!!!" With that, she turned tail and ran back into her little lounge, slamming the door shut. The girls surrounding the area flinched as the slam rang out loudly throughout the gym. It seemed as though Avikna wasn't going to be getting her badge any time soon, and the girls glanced around at each other nervously. "Jeez... Whitney sure is upset. Someone should go console her." One piped up. There was a murmur of agreement, but no one seemed to want to actually go deal with the whiney gym leader. Eventually the girl who had spoken up before let out a sigh. "Don't everyone go all at once...." She muttered. "I'll go then." She insisted, but first she approached Avikna with an apologetic smile. "Don't worry. Here's your badge." She offered up a small wooden box, opening it to pull out one of the many plain badges within. "And er.... Sorry about Whitney, please, take this TM as our apologies." She offered as well.

Whitney's response to Avikna's inevitable win was just as the red-head had assumed she'd react. Folding her arms she watched with narrowed eyes as the pink-haired leader turned around and dashed away in a fit. Immaturity didn't look on anyone, even children. As far as Avikna knew, Whitney looked about the same age as herself. For the longest time it didn't look as though anyone was going to follow after her. Luckily, it wasn't needed, as the girl who'd greeted her twice now approached Avikna with a box and Tm. The Tm was something she didn't need, but accepted anyway. Fishing out her Tm Case Avikna deposited the Tm within it, quickly shoving it back into her bag, badge still clutched in her hand.
As per the usual, Avikna was going to leave without any more words, but as she turned her gaze locked with Aislin's. The canine held her teeth clenched, a paw on her shoulder. The Lucario looked exhausted, but more so, angry. "Do you expect praise?" Avikna asked. Some of the girls turned their gaze to Avikna, astonished looks on their faces. She didn't care. Crossing over to the Lucario, Avikna motioned towards her bag. "You cost me 3 Super potions and a Full Restore." Aislin's paw clenched her wound. Even Mave was rather started by Avikna's words, though she quickly understood after reading into Avikna's thoughts. She wasn't insulting Aislin... she was insulting herself. Aislin stepped forward, ramming her shoulder into Avikna before taking the lead out of the gym. The Lucario looked visibly upset, as did the trainers of the gym. Some watched with worry while others watched with anger as Avikna left.
Once they'd reached outside, Avikna quickly tossed the badge into her bag after contemplating just throwing it away or not... she already had one, she didn't need two. Something told her though, that wouldn't be a good course of action. Regardless, she'd defeated the brat, now it was on to the next gym. Calling out Arietty, Avikna quickly motioned for the lizard to lower her self so she could climb aboard. Once on the fire-lizards back, she turned her gaze to Aislin. A softer gaze crossed over Avikna's face before it fell back to her normal scowl. Returning Aislin, the Lucario didn't fight it. "Let's go. Head north to Ecruteak." Arietty glanced between Avikna and Mave, expecting an explanation, but a quick kick from Avikna's heel made her growl. Mave sent a nod, telling her she'd tell the lizard later.

Another few hours and Sebastian was once more in Goldenrod city. Once again, it'd been a rather uneventful trip on the train, with him spending a vast of the majority of the time looking up the regions and their gym leaders. He was formulating a plan and such the entire time, rarely noticing the random shuffles of the bag next to him, chalking that up instead to the train shifting from time to time. When the announcement went out about their arrival Sebastian was practically the first off and out.
With bag slung over his shoulder, he checked his PokeGear again and started moving. He really needed to move his legs after that train ride to get the blood flowing once more before he started walking. Whitney was apparently here in the city, though he wouldn't be able to challenge her right away. He had to get Bugsy's battle first and then he could back track. Luckily enough once that was out of the way it was fairly straight forward, both in terms of gym battles and heading to Cianwood. Great!

"Hm...," Sebastian murmured to himself, placing his free hand on his his chin thoughtfully. He considered briefly for a moment his course of action. Azalea Town was where he needed to go; should he do some shopping first or head directly to the forest that would lead him to the town? A little more consideration and he decided to go directly for the forest. He would have to double back to challenge Whitney anyways and given what he'd learned about her, that would be the battle to spend his time shopping and prepping for if there were any. Pleased with his decision he made to return his PokeGear to his bag, gaze directed elsewhere as he tried to figure out which direction was to Ilex Forest.
"PI!" A sudden squeak from his bag caught Sebastian off guard, nearly causing him to drop the device as he jumped. What in the world? He watched a moment as his bag shifted and a small yellow rodent flipped the bag flap back, giving him a rather miffed look. "Pi! Pichu piiii!" The Pichu chirped one little fist raising up and shaking a bit in the man's direction.
"What the...," Sebastian started his surprised expression contorting to confusion. His gaze snapped about him; where had this pokemon come from? Had it been in his bag the whole time? He took a moment to properly study the little rodent a moment. It looked kind of like a Pikachu to be honest but... much smaller.
"Pi pi chuuuuu!" It chirped again, this time hopping out of his bag, a big mushroom clasped between it's paws as it turned to address him. Sebastian immediately frowned.
"Hey, that's mine. Give it back." He stated sternly at the creature, still glancing about as though expecting the way-ward pokemon's true owner to magically appear to save the day. The Pichu's tail though, just wiggled raising the mushroom only slightly but with no clear intention of giving it back, the agitated look still on it's face.

After a minute or so of attempting to convince the Pichu to return the mushroom to no avail, Sebastian gave an exasperated sigh. He didn’t have time for this.
"Fine! Keep it! I don’t care, I don’t need it anyways." He remarked, shoving the PokeGear in his bag and turning away from the pokemon in question. Needing to keep moving he started walking along in the direction of the forest. He was also keeping an eye out for a Pokemon center. He wasn’t the type to simply abandon a pokemon in the middle of a city, but he certainly had no idea what else he could do. Was it a wild pokemon? What was it anyways?
Fishing his pokedex out he scanned the little creature, an eyebrow raising curiously as it announced it to be a Pichu. Huh, so it was related to Pikachu, though he’d never realized there was a baby form to the yellow rodent he knew. Eyes on the pokedex he only glanced back briefly to see the little rodent toddling right along after him, mushroom still clutched between its paws. Despite its agitation it seemed intent on tailing him. Which to some degree… was a good thing. The moment he found the center, he’d drop the thing off and be on his way.

Luckily enough the Pokemon center was, in fact, right along the way to the Ilex Forest. Sebastian was grateful; if he had to detour anymore than he was about to, he wasn’t sure what how he’d feel. Glancing back briefly, he noted that the Pichu was still following him fumbling the mushroom about in the air as though it were some kind of ball. Honestly, Sebastian was a little surprised the mushroom hadn’t been consumed yet. He was fairly certain that was why the Pichu had stolen it in the first place.
Oh well, no time to really question what it was the rodent was up too. Sebastian quickly detoured into the Pokemon center, attempting to act as casual as possible. He didn’t want to give the little guy any clue about what he was about to do. The moment he’d stepped into the door however, Sebastian swiveled around and scooped the Pichu up much to its struggling surprise.
"Emph…. Calm down!" He muttered as he approached the counter and set the struggling creature down in front of the Nurse Joy. After explaining the situation and keeping the Pichu from fleeing, he handed it over to her hopefully watchful care, heading immediately out the door and straight for the gate. Well, that was one problem out the way. Onward to the forest!

And finally Sebastian was back where he'd started. He could've really done without the detour to be honest just to get a badge, but he was feeling pretty good from the gym battle from before. If he could just keep up his momentum, then he'd be done in the two days just as he wanted. The fact that it was just now shifting into the afternoon pleased him even more. That meant more than a day and a half of travel time for him. It couldn't be any more perfect.
He glanced at the pokemon center as he passed it, remembering the small creature that was still tailing him. He paused and turned fully this time to address the Pichu, noting that the poor thing was actually panting from struggling to keep up. Right, he was rather tall and all. Sebastian paused so that the rodent could catch his breath, arms folding over his chest as the slightest of frowns came across his face as though he were contemplating something. Eventually Pichu caught his breath and looked up at Sebastian with a leery, questioning gaze.
Sebastian knelt down, eyeing the pokemon a moment in quiet contemplation. Finally he straightened up a bit to speak. "So I get this feeling if I try to leave you at the pokemon center again, you'll just escape again...," He started, earning a respective "Chu" of confirmation to his claim. "I'm also lead to believe that you don't have a trainer... or you're very confused about who they are." This remark caused some sparks to appear but Sebastian ignored it. "But either way, I can't just have you following me. So...," He paused and fished out an empty pokeball from his bag, offering it out with one hand to the Pichu. ""
The Pichu stared a moment, his gaze shifting from the pokeball to Sebastian and then back to the pokeball, tail wagging left and right in a sort of timed fashion as it seemed to think. With one last glance at the man, he took a slight step forward, extending a paw and pressing the button on the front of the ball. Much like all pokemon, the Pichu disappeared in a flash of light, the ball wiggling once and then twice in the palm of Sebastian's hand before the ding sounded to indicate a successful capture.
Of course it didn't stay that way for long as the ball immediately flew open, Pichu releasing itself with mushroom still in paw. Sebastian quirked an eyebrow, head tilting before he shook it and stored his new;y caught Pichu's pokeball away. "Well then, welcome to the team." He remarked, getting back to his full height. The Pichu gave him a curious look before toddling forward and promptly indicating to be picked up. Giving it a look, the long-haired man complied, picking him up and setting him on his shoulder. "Well... let's get shopping. I've got a gym battle to get too."

With Pichu (for) now on his team, Sebastian headed for Goldenrod Department store. It was… shocking really how massive the place was; sure it was a big building on the outside, but each level was in its own right its own shopping center. It was a good thing he had his pokemon in their pokeballs, least they wander and become lost.
He spent a decent amount of time shopping; he didn’t want to spend too long shopping but for once in his life he wanted to really invest in some worthwhile goods. He was… easily sold sometimes on things, if all the contents of his bag could comment. But this time, he wasn’t going to buy into sales pitches for odd knick-knacks. No, whatever he bought he would make sure was somewhat useful. Hopefully. There were really no promises that he would walk away with useful items but he certainly hoped so. If anything, at least he’d be getting a decent work out, going up and down from one floor to the next in his shopping trip.

With his pocket significantly lighter and his bag significantly heavier, Sebastian left the department store. It was incredible luck that he hadn't been completely overwhelmed in that place. He'd bought quite a bit; mostly restorative items and items that would boost his pokemon's abilities depending on what they were. It honestly wore him out a bit, trying to wiggle the information out of the store representatives.
But he'd managed it and hopefully his purchases would benefit him in the future. He was actually thankful to purchase a TM to use... who'd he give it to, he wasn't sure though. It wouldn't do him much good in the battle with Whitney, given the typing of her own pokemon. But maybe in the future...
Speaking of which, he needed to prepare. Shoving the items away, he dug out a rare candy from his bag and snatched a pokeball from his belt. He was going to try something for this battle... he had to hope it worked. Pichu watched curiously from his shoulder as Sebastian released Dice, the little Cubone giving a squeak and flailing his bone club about a bit in greeting.
"Hey there, Dice." Sebastian spoke softly, kneeling down and gently rubbing the Cubone under the chin. The little guy squeaked, rubbing the side of his skull helm against the man's palm before looking at him curiously. Sebastian smiled before unwrapping the candy and handing it to the pokemon. "Here you go. I want you to eat this, it'll help make you stronger." At least that was what one of the store clerk's had told him. Dice's eyes seemed to shimmer for a moment as he took the candy in one paw, eyeing it curiously before popping it happily into his mouth. He gave a chew or two before squeaking and flailing his club again.
"I take it that worked then!" That was good. He stood up and looked at the Cubone with a smile, not noticing the leery sort of gaze the Pichu was giving the questionable little thing. The rodent seemed to sense that Dice was... less than questionable in the safety department.
"I'm counting on you for the next battle, okay Dice? Make me proud." Dice gave another squeak and flail, immediately beginning to toddle off in a random direction. Well at least he had enthusiasm! To bad he was going the wrong way. "Dice, no. This ... this way." Sebastian stepped forward, latching a hand on the top of the Cubone's bone club and directing him in the right direction. Dice didn't seem to mind at all, squeaking and flailing around as he toddled his way in the direction of the gym, Sebastian close behind. Hopefully... this idea would work. If not though, he always had backup.

A couple of minutes of prepping himself, prepping Dice and reminding himself that he was ready for this and Sebastian was ready to take on the gym. Stepping inside and meandering through the puzzles that seemed to exist for every gym -was it really so hard to just have a simple place that could be walked into?- and he found his way to the challenger's floor. He apparently had to wait a moment as one of the girl's in the gym went to fetch Whitney for a battle before he finally issued his own challenge and set out to fight. Dice gave a little squeak of glee as he toddled out onto the field, over-sized bone club flailing in the air. He was ready to smash some stuff in the face. For victory!

That little bone runt had certainly given Whitney a run for her money, but her miltank had really pulled through for her, and held her own against a really pesky whimsicott. In the end though, she fell just the same, and Whitney was fuming. "Are you kidding me?! Arceus, your pokemon just won't go down and stay down!" She fumed. Stupid health absorbing fairy. Anger aside though, Whitney had to admit, it was a good battle. She hated admitting defeat though, so she turned and left the room with angry frustrated tears in her eyes, letting one of the other girls handle the rest. "Hey. Nice technique there. With those giga drains to wear her down and keep your pokemon healthy." One spoke up with a smile, approaching Sebastian with a small box. "Here's your badge, and a little... Er... Apology gift for Whitney's behavior." She explained sheepishly, opening the box up so that he could take his prizes, and hopefully leave before Whitney demanded a rematch.

Sebastian let out the largest sigh he had ever produced in his entire life when the Miltank finally went down. That gym battle had gone in a completely different direction than he had expected. Apparently something about that cow had apparently mesmerized Dice and nearly knocked it out. Gin did well though for a sort of… unexpected trade in. That back and forth was crazy too. Good grief.
Blinking, he took a moment to comprehend what was happening, staring blankly a moment as Whitney just sort of stormed out of the room. That was also… totally unexpected. He stepped forward and picked Gin up, giving her a bit of a curious look before shifting his gaze to the girl addressing him.
"Ah, thanks…," He replied sheepishly, freeing a hand to rub the back of his neck. It was hardly the strategy he’d intended to use, but it had certainly worked. It was a darn good thing Gin had such a move. He eyed the box a moment, smiling and taking the discs and badge with satisfaction. It was all worth it with these in hand.
"Awesome, thank you so much!" He replied happily, eyeing the items a moment before giving them to Gin to hold. He gave a little bow to the girl. "Please let Whitney know I appreciated the battle. Toughest I’ve had yet." And with he headed out the gym and for the pokemon center to heal up his team.

Sebastian found his way the pokemon center, returning Gin to her pokeball and handing everyone over for a proper healing. He gave a sigh and took a seat while he waited, fishing out his PokeGear once more to get a strategy going. That was two down, who knew how many more to go. A quick check of the map though showed that Ecruteak City was his next destination. The little blip of information caused him to raise an eyebrow; a tow both mythical and historical, hm? He’d have to check it out some more.
He raised his eyebrows even more as he looked up information concerning the gym leader. So the guy specialized in ghost types? Well, well, well… now that was something he knew. And was well prepared to battle. Maybe. He could probably stand to toughen up his pokemon a bit before he attempted the gym battle; it was becoming fairly obvious that things only got tougher from here on out. Hearing little murmur, he glanced at the Pichu still hanging from his shoulder. He was giving Sebastian a sort of curious look before pointing a hand to the counter as Nurse Joy returned with his pokeballs.
With a thank you, he retrieved his team, Pichu making some more odd little squeaks that he ultimately ignored before heading out the door and towards the route exit that would lead him to Ecruteak City.

The train ride itself wasn't all that bad. The food was decent and the ride was smooth and quick. There weren't any delays luckily, which meant they were in Goldenrod just as the train had stated. Though through out the ride, Eon felt this odd sensation tingling over her body every time they passed by a body of water in the distance. Saga was of course worried, but Eon reassured her it was likely just nerves from being excited. Luffy himself could hardly contain his excitement. He was pushing himself out of the train before the doors even had properly opened. Running after the feline. Though following Luffy through Goldenrod wasn't the smartest of ideas. Neither of them had been in the city before.
Before Eon knew it, she was separated from Luffy. But not only Luffy, but Saga and Zoro as well. Looking this way and that ,the amnesiac was feeling more and more panicked. Louhi took it upon himself to let himself out of his ball, all so that he could halt Eon in her tracks. 'Stop panicking, Eon.' He stated, his tone solid and demanding. Unable to move under Louhi's psychic grip, the amnesiac had no other choice but to oblige. Louhi then closed his eyes, and began to attempt a psychic connection with Luffy. Once one was finally established, Louhi directed the feline back to Eon. Saga and Zoro arrived shortly before Luffy did. 'See, they're all safe.' Louhi stated. Looking around at the trio, Louhi closed his eyes once more and shook his head. Like a disapproving father. Saga came to Eon's side and gingerly took Eon's hand, sending up an apologetic look, then motioning towards Zoro with an angry gestures. "It's alright, Saga. You don't need to explain. I'm just glad nothing happened." Eon reassured the grass-type, leaning down to hug her. "We've got to stick together." that should of needed to be said, but it was. Luffy, knowing he was partially to blame bowed his head apologetically. 'Sorry I got ahead of myself and just started going. I did see something however. I think it's the start of the ruins.' Luffy motioned over towards the east side of the city. 'Over those mountains I saw some older looking buildings... falling apart and the like. I'm guess those are the ruins?' Eon nodded, even if she actually had no clue herself. Old buildings falling apart? Sounded ruinish to her.

"First things first." Eon began. "We need to find a place with a map." If they didn't want to end up lost, they needed some sort of visual on the region. As she looked around though, it looked more like they'd need a map of Goldenrod before anything else. Luffy, as an apology volunteered to fly up into the sky and scope out the place for any 'market' or 'shop-like' buildings. When he returned, he had good news. 'I spotted a place where the humans were going in and some were coming out with lots of bags.' He informed Eon. 'It's actually not to far away either. Just on the other side of that building.' He pointed in the proper direction as he settled in on Eon's shoulder. Glancing over to Louhi, the psychic opened his eyes and nodded. 'He's right. It's a department store.' It was wonderful having two psychic-types on the team. With their destination set, Eon lead the pack forward.
The department store was huge to say the least. Towering over other buildings, the multi-story building was fairly intimidating. However, on the inside it wasn't all that bad. The floors were specifically marked, and as luck would have it, Eon didn't even need to go up to any specific floor, there were maps for sale right on the ground floor. "So we're here, and... Yea, look those do look like ruins." Eon pointed out as she looked over a large map of the entire Johto region. "It's right near the first badge of this region as well." What luck! "There's a bird symbol, so I'm guessing this gym uses Flying-types." Dvalinn would be perfect for this gym. So would Origin if he only knew some Rock-type moves. What else was effective on fliers? Electric and Ice? Yea, Eon could easily manage this gym.
