Kyle carried on through the doors and on into the side of a mountain, opening up to a great hall slightly illuminated by patches of light that fluttered through holes in the walls and through the vines. There seemed to be debris of civilisation here, with mouldy books and boxes littered everywhere on the ground, and even what seemed to be the remains of a massive moth eaten rug with decorations of gold and red fabrics. Whatever this place was, it used to be a hub of life for the people who lived here. And it seemed to Evelyn that the place was still dense with lingering spirits that wished to never let go of a once treasured sanctuary. She had a shudder. "This feels worse than out there." She followed close on after Kyle, eager to get out of this place as quickly as she could. Kyle walked on to the end of the hall, seemingly not fazed by the bad wards. And finally through another pair of giant double wooden doors, into a smaller room that had stairs up to a pedestal, where a large chalice laid on top of a stone table. Kyle's eyes widened dramatically. Conor was nowhere to be seen, but next to the chalice stood a great black wolf, a Guardian, with shimmering blue eyes. It was larger than most Kyle had seen, simply because it was older. It looked like a younger version of his fathers Guardian form, but how? Evelyn knew. Her blood ran cold, and her face lost all colour. Only she knew who this aura was. The firm presence of all the spirits within the temple had clouded this man from view, but now Evelyn felt it, and saw it, as clear as day. "It can't be." The large wolf seemed to smile, its glimmering coat immaculate against the faint light. "It's a pleasure to meet you again, Asher." He extended his neck as would a swan, with all the grace and dignity of such a revered creature. "Or should I say, Evelyn. That is what they call you now, yes?" Kyle frowned and took an anxious step back, the man's aura was so familiar and yet so distant, he hadn't felt it before. So who was he exactly. Evelyn took some cautious steps in front of Kyle, obstructing him from the view of the man. "You're supposed to be dead." She said almost spitefully. There was history there, yes. The wolf nodded slowly, and focused on Evelyn intently. "You've said that line enough times to know this isn't true for everyone." Suddenly his form began to change, his back straightened and limbs shortened. Until he was left as a tall human, wearing a long dark overcoat that failed to cover some distinctive chest tattoo's. Long black hair draped down to just curtain around his eyes, and his stare was sharp and piercing, Kyle feeling the immensity of his aura like a stab to the chest. Essentially, an older Kyle. But Evelyn knew the truth. "River." The older brother of Kyle, supposedly deceased. Kyle had never met him, being born after his original death. River had been used as a tool of Amelie to plant some of herself into so that she was able to live in the past. A fragment of herself, that ended up consuming the real River until he was no more, and ended up torturing Kiera, Shortstraw and Evelyn in their youth. However Evelyn knew this time, this wasn't Amelie. This was River, as he was supposed to be.

Ruji didn't see the irony in this situation, nor in the person before them. He never met him, then again he had hard enough time remembering the people in the castle he saw everyday. However if it were shortstraw, or keria, sparks would have flown instantly weather it was ameile or the real deal. Especially shorstraw, it was the hardest time in his life. But for Ruji, he was now noticing Evleyn wasn't feeling so sure of things now being on there side. Ruji stepped forward and cleared, "ummm excuse me... I'm sort of old but new-ish to this world so... how are you?" He blinked, "and why would you kidnap a kid? And why hide here... of all places." He knew they were led her now, it was all staged. And he had a feeling he already knew why.

The man smiled coldly, like his face were a mask and the emotions he showed were plastic. He slowly began to walk down the steps, which made Evelyn extremely anxious. She didn't know enough about this person, how he actually was. All she knew were the remnants of a person he used to be. "Forgive me, I hadn't noticed Evelyn brought a friend." He walked to the side of them, floating around as if he were a spirit himself. "My name is River Madison. My mother and father were Demi and Mordekai Madison.. however they're gone now, aren't they." His stern gaze moved slowly over to a stunned Kyle at his last word. Kyle moved Evelyn out of the way to see this man properly. He was astonished. "You.. you're my brother. Father.. he spoke of you. Mother and father said you were used by our aunt. And yet.." River walked over to Kyle and put a reassuring hand on his head like Kyle was just a child. "Little brother.." Evelyn snatched Kyle's arm and pulled him behind her aggressively. "******** that." Her purple eyes shone in the dim light, warding River to back off. "I don't ******** care if you two are related. Why the ******** did you take Conor and lead us here? He's just a young boy! Kids like that are so easily influenced." River looked disappointed that Kyle got taken away from him, and he looked to the side with a blank expression. "The boys abilities are lost in a family like yours. He can become something great if nurtured correctly." He looked back to Kyle. Kyle had hard something like that before from the nephilim who'd given him the book. "And as for you all being here." He glanced to Evelyn with a small smile. "I thought it'd be nice for a small reunion, no?"

Ruji gave a shie, "how is it that all but the ones that actually have there children choose there reasoning, teachings, and such more just then another. It's rather annoying." It should be yuji and Hikari takeing care of the boy. Not you, not kyle, not even I or Evelyn. It's not our place. It's not our disition. Now if Yuji was willing to agree with such a fact I could see it just, because then a parent Is giving the child to the teacher to learn the art of whateer way of the individual and what the parent see's more usful tot he child!" This would shock Evleyn out of now where, Ruji was kinda... tense over this. He'd never expressed such feeling twords children before, this was a new outburst from him. He put an arm on Kyles shoulder, "it's important to have siblings meet. But you nor kyle, were the ones intrusted with Conner. Therefor, isn't right that the one who was should have the boy as intended to be? Where is the sense of dignity to steal a child? To choose what you can teach is better for a child not even yours. By relation or not." He glared, "do you not agree Kyle? I know you love the boy, and you have been taking care of him, but along side kirro. Therefor you have right, but this man, this brother is only going to make such things..." he shied and relized he was all tense finally. He looked down, "why would it matter in the first place if Evleyn met you again? What is the gain?" He asked planly now going protective over her now.

River chuckled and turned around. "Not every action done is an action with the intention of gain." He walked up a few of the steps. "And honestly, it's interesting to see how your dear Evelyn has blossomed." Kyle walked around Evelyn. "Brother!" River stopped and looked around to see Kyle looking to him desperately. For Kyle, a bright aura shone around River. River was exactly the kind of person Kyle aspired to be. Powerful, without even trying. His very presence dominating the whole area. River was an idol. "You've been the hunter of Conor all this time. You want to take him away from me and Kiiro?" River's expression softened to his little brother. "Yes." He turned around properly, staring at Kyle through thinned bright blue eyes. "Because you're not enough." The words struck Kyle like a dagger through his heart. He was so easily shot down by his older brother, he recoiled slightly. "I'm.. not enough..?" River turned again and walked back up the stairs. "You were foolish enough to think you could handle a power like Fenrir, and now here you are, powerless and pitiful. Everyone thinks you're a failure. And they're right. Look what you've become." Kyle slunk back. The hope he'd gathered for a relationship with his last personal family was dashed within minutes of meeting the man. Evelyn scowled, now feeling some strange protectiveness over Kyle. "Who the ******** do you think you are to go around insulting family like that?! You're his older brother!" She walked up to him and took a bunch of his jacket in her fist. He looked unamused. "Ruji is right, you have no right to be taking children just because you think you'll be better at raising him. He's not yours! And never will be! His parents entrusted him to a wonderful girl, and she's done an amazing job of raising him so far!" River's calm and composed expression suddenly turned sour, and the whole delicate atmosphere of the place began to foul. "This, coming from a two-faced demon." He took her hand off his jacket and continued to walk up to the top of the stairs.

*Ruji took Evelyn and pulled her back, feeling it was time they went to leave. If conner wasn't here, they didn't need to be either. He didn't like it, there was something still wrong other then the obvious. "You realize to challenge hell itself. To challenge the angels who will protect Conner for his innocence. And you just threatened the ears of the sprits. You would only culse yourself and conner death. And it seems to me, no one cares about what happens to you." He put a hand around kyle as the mark on his arm glowed and the water wolf stood it's ground to protect kyle. "Will you let him beat you down like that. In an instant?" He looked to Kyle closely, "even the twins do not believe you failed. None of us do, we just feel that there is a lot more work to be done, and that you need to choose other ways then you have to do so. This man, is just a disgrace to your presents. Let us take our leave..." he about snatched Evelyn towards the doorway.

Kyle felt rage burn through him. How could his brother of all people.. He remembered his father describe how his brother was. 'River was a quiet boy like yourself, Kyle. Always seemed so calm and composed. He aspired to be so mature at such a young age, and he wished to reconcile myself with my sister. However he was sadly mistaken. In doing so, he allowed her to manipulate him. If.. if he'd not have gone to her. He would be here with us. He would love you, my boy. You would get on like two peas in a pod. You're so much alike... Now come, lest the memory of him make me older.' Kyle stood up a step. "Father wouldn't want this." River turned, interested at the mention of their father. "Father wanted us to get along." River composed his expression. "You know nothing of father." Kyle looked up to his older brother with malice in his eyes. "The reason I turned out so bad is because I was away from father, can't you see? Children need their parents. Even if the child does deem it right either. It was wrong for me to leave father. Because despite how powerful I was, I still fell." River's eyes widened in surprise, he hadn't expected such an outburst from him. "Conor will do no better in your hands. Because he needs the person who was there from the start. He needs Kiiro. He needs Silvea. You're a stranger. A stranger coerced me into thinking being alone was better. He was wrong." Evelyn watched on from the door, astonished. "Kyle.." "That's why you can't have him!" River looked on to his brother, then slowly looked away. They couldn't see his expression sadden. "It's too late for that now little brother.." River suddenly disappeared from his spot.

Ruji smirked a little, kyle was saying exactly what ruji meant when he outburst a little while ago. However it was far more... personal to kyle then It was to ruji, at least as of right now. Ruji was skeptical however. What did this river guy mean by, it was too late now. He saw a sense of despair in the way he looked before he left. Perhaps... that was a sign that... "I think he's working for someone." Ruji replied out loud realizing that Evelyn could trace his teleport just like they did to get here in the first place. He was wondering if they should right now or not. Either way, kyle would not be able to take him like he was. He stood next to kyle and almost looked down on him, "how far are you willing to go in order to get conner back?" He asked.

Kyle looked to the floor, then glanced to Ruji. "I would give anything. Even my own life." His eyes thinned. "And I would appreciate it if you stopped talking down to me." Evelyn suddenly swept in and put her arm around them both. "Well all this nice chatting is all well and good but we're forgetting that this guy has Conor and potentially Hana, Joch and Silvea too." She looked to them both more seriously. "We know that he was using the three to lead Conor in, and I don't doubt that Hana would have fought fiercely with us if she wasn't captured with Silvea." Kyle looked onwards. "This doesn't seem like something my brother would willingly do." Evelyn scoffed and flicked Kyle's nose. "You spent two minutes with the guy and now you suddenly know him." Kyle scowled back to her and freed himself from her arm. "He's a Madison. From what my father said of him.. it's not right." Kyle looked away. "Father said we were a lot alike, him and I. Most likely he's distancing himself and making us hate him so that in case anything happens to him I won't feel sad for it." Evelyn felt a little compassion for the boy, the first time in a while. "That's what you did, isn't it?" She sighed almost angrily. "You guys and your pride." She brought Kyle under her arm again and tightened them around Ruji and Kyle's shoulders. "When will you guys learn that no one gives a s**t if you're family. Family unconditionally love each other no matter how s**t you are."

*Ruji nodded, and tapped the Roserio, "I said I wouldn't unlock this. And I wont. But later I can teach you ways to go around it in certain ways, that will help you achieve your goal. The Roserio's weren't created to just seal monsters. They are also training wheels, so the monsters don't scare themselves." He stood fully, "Evelyn trace the teleport. Kyle i'll lend you some of my spirts for support, including Sam my most trusted." The water wolf nuzzled Kyles side. For a brief moment, it was almost like Evelyn and Ruji were parenting Kyle. And they were going to get Conner back, aswell as the others...

Kyle sighed. "You guys, I'm not a child." Evelyn grinned and messed up his hair. "Well you've been acting like it recently so shut up wolf boy." She moved around them both and up a few of the stairs. "Now then kiddies, lets go get family back." She grinned and teleported them both. They appeared in a dark part of the same ruin, a circular room that smelled earthy and damp. They were obviously deep underground now. From where they were standing, they could just see River through a crack in the wall talking to a shadowed figure, and by his side stood Conor, clinging to his leg. "Are you sure? I saw my brother out there. He looked... solemn. I hadn't expected him to be such a likeness." "You were expecting the demon woman and her little entourage right? It's no mistake that he's here." River looked down to Conor. "It doesn't feel right. The boy isn't even old enough to make his own choice about it." The hooded figure pressed something against his chest. "You don't do this to have opinions." Their voices faded off as they walked down the hall, and Kyle was just about to get up and run after them if it weren't for another voice behind them. "About time you guys ******** showed up." Kyle and Evelyn looked behind them to see Hana Joch and Silvea in a special cell with bars ornamentally woven together. Evelyn pulled a face. "Hana?" Hana walked up to the cell bars with Silvea in her arms. "Three days. Three ******** days we've been in here and none of you could get up off your asses to get us?" She glared at the three. "And this is the battalion of you bring?" She scoffed. "Pitiful." Kyle scratched the back of his neck. "Honestly Hana we came for Conor." Hana grit her teeth and barked at them. "You cunts." Evelyn walked up and put a hand on the bars. "How were you not able to get out? These aren't strong." Hana looked to the side with a scowl. "This was a prison for Guardians. When one misbehaved they ended up here. So I dunno, they got special anti Guardian runes or something."

Ruji gave a chuckle to Kyles little words on not being a child. "Son to us, your like a great great great great great grandson. Remember we are from an age where everyone is like a child to us." He patted Kyles head like one too, "so deal with it. I offered you help with your perdicument however later, up to you wether or not to take it."
WHen they found hana and the others, Ameillea waved silently to the cat people. She would have broken them out... but her powers didn't wanna work here for some odd reason. Joch was in the corner of there prizen with his knees to his chest, and his head down. This place was tarrifing. It wasn't safe, and more importantly he knew the girls were thinking that he should have been a strong man to get them out and to safty. But he wasn't, couldn't even try, because he knew he couldn't do it. Sure the girls may not say it, maybe later they would, but he felt they would be thinking it heavily on him. It's only natural. He didn't even look up until Ruji gave a nod, his figures started to glow and with a few swipes he grabbed the bar he cut off the rest and sat it down silently, so they weren't caught yet. "We do not know if they are aware of us yet. So try not to make too much noice. Also..." Siliva almost jumped out fo Hana's arms as they were getting out of the prizon, "Conners here?" They said they were here to save conner, if conner was in trouble Siliva was going to help no matter what. She looked to Hana siliently though. Joch didn't even get up at first. What was the point, he was only going to slow them down. They could come back for him later... or something.

Hana looked to Evelyn and Ruji with concern in her eyes. "We need to be careful, you haven't been here to hear all that's happened over these past few days." She walked closer to them, not wanting Kyle or Silvea to overhear. "Do you remember all that s**t with the scientist guy? Do you remember that he had Conor and Kiiro for a while? You two went to rescue him then. This person, they want to 'unlock' whatever the scientist did to him." Evelyn frowned. "He did something to Conor? No one knew that." Hana frowned. "You mean you didn't notice?" She crossed her arms over her chest with a growing scowl. "The kid hates people touching him. That's why he's so timid, doesn't like talking. I heard him talking to Silvea once, he said when people touched him there was like electricity. The reason he favors Kiiro so much is because the electricity isn't there when she touches him." Evelyn looked to Ruji. "This is not good." Hana sighed and fiddled with her hair. "Just take that into account as we go get him anyway. It's what I heard." She walked back into the cell and over to Joch. Tentatively, she crouched to his level and pulled a face. "You're not thinking of staying here, are ya?" She raised her eyebrow. "You're part of the team too you know."

*Ruji turned and whispered to Evleyn, "that liquid stuff most likely. I feared this would be the case. Whatever it is they seek to unlock, for the child it cannot be good. However it is sad to think the child has to be distant because of that guy." He shied and looked down sadishly. "If I ever have a child... I would... never wish for it to be like this." Meanwhile Joch looked up just slightly to Hana, he about whipered though to her in a low voice. "I'm only going to slow you down. Go save the kid, I'm no use to you guys. I rather not chance being a hostage or something." He really didn't have any motivation. Team? When was there a team, he didn't see it that way. Then again, he didn't know how he would navigate to get out of this odd place either, and it was really frightening for him. In the end though he put his head back down, "you guys are strong. I'm not remember."

Hana scowled. "Since when has that ever stopped anyone?" She flicked his forehead. "Just because a person is stronger than me doesn't mean I don't aspire to be better for myself. Nor does it mean I wish to be any less included because I'm weaker. My brother and my sisters are all more powerful than me, and I don't give a flying ********. Because do you know what? How powerful they are or how weak I am doesn't get in the way of what I feel is right, what should be done." She stood up again. "So if you want to stay here until we get back, fine, that's your decision. I'm not making you do anything." She grinned and clenched her fists at her sides. "But I for one am gonna go and kick some ******** evil a**." It might have been foolish what she said, getting herself into situations that far outweighed against her favour. But that was simply who Hana was, and how she grew in power so rapidly. She wasn't afraid of getting hurt. If there was one thing she learned from living with Eve, is that there wasn't enough to sacrifice when doing what she thought was right. Evelyn quickly went on to take Silvea's hand. "Lets not get ahead of ourselves." She looked to Ruji with concern. "We need to bear in mind that we still have Silvea with us. And when we find them we'll need to worry about Conor's well being too."
