Oh dear god why?! Fini preferred the seaweed over tentacles! She was startled when something grabbed her leg and pulled, and then something else 'winded' her. Cursing, she twisted around and slashed at anything that moved near her until she was able to escape.

Candace went in again. It was getting easier, she was also literally grabbing onto people to use the momentum to throw herself harder at the mermaids.

So they didn't have to like each other, but apparently they could work together as a team, and actually do it quite well once Finn figured out what the hell he was doing.
Kicking himself towards the....school?... Of mermaids, he slashed his lance at them a couple more times.
Trynt affirmed that he'd had enough Fear and could fly now but....underwater? Would that even work??

It was very likely Candace was mostly using Wilson for her attacks. He didn't really mind though.
