Every time he tried to move in for an attack, a tentacle intercepted, smacking him back. All without giving him a chance to touch it with his weapons.
"Unfortunately for you and every other hunter in Deus, dreaming isn't a luxury we're allowed to have, apparently." He grinned at the death hunter, jumping back out of the way, before the creature could hit him again. "And if you plan on dying, you can die on your own. I don't feel like becoming chum today." He said, making a 'shoo shoo' motion, teasingly.

Another tentacle crashed down, and Madison staggered under the blow; these conditions were decidedly less than ideal, but she'd seen worse. She'd seen ******** worse. She jabbed up with one blade. Just a puncture wound. No big, but it was enough for Kouki to get a little bit of FEAR. The serpent-sword hissed his pleasure.

He took another several shots and then said, through gritted teeth, "If by Jack Sparrow you mean a certain Death Lead, I'd love to feed him to the Kraken..."

As Jerry wobbled back away from where the tentacle had darted back, the world swam. He wasn't sure if it was the remaining booze in his system or something to do with those scrapes from the creature's hooks, or the rocking, shaking of the boat itself, but he gripped the rail for support just as Wash caught up with him.
An echoey voice said something to which he blinked at, but after a pat and a bandage, four faces became one, and he drew in a deep breath. "Wash! Ah... th-thank you." He breathed, bearings returning quickly.
He had missed having a moon watching his back. He smiled nervously before turning his attention back to the creature- no sooner had he taken aim, the tentacle snapped him off his feet like a massive, mucusy whip.

Focus! Shaiming cried out, and Crispin took a deep breath - imagined himself, for a moment, at the center of that star-touched void, with his dragon - his dragon, master of that void and all it contained. Another tentacle swept towards him, and he blocked with the glaive's shaft. The blow still reverberated through him, and he gritted his teeth against the pain of it and the cracks he felt forming in Shaiming's shield.
And then he pushed off the tentacle and slammed Shaiming's blade into the meat of the thing. It jerked away, spraying ichor. "Got you," he hissed, and Shaiming's roar of hungry fury echoed him.

For the third time today Harland was late, he probably passed out on his plate who knows. He even missed the wink from Maebe. Show time! Harland was half asleep still, and he fumbled even trying to get out of his seat.
Good job Harland.

Harland ran a hand through his disheveled hair, tasting blood in his mouth; he must have done something to himself in the attack? But it felt... he felt the poison, hurting him less than it may have.

Marcus watched a lot of it unfold before he finally sighed, and decided he would need to play as meat shield. "Ian- get on the defensive line with the others. Quinn- I want you on your feet, weapon summoned to keep yourself safe. You're going to be acting as support you understand? I want you to avoid direct combat but stay within range to pull someone in the event they need treatment from one of the moons or lifers. Focus on getting to others and helping them. You were made a hunter because you proved you could do this in testing. That you can fight and face what others fear most. If you want a target? Make sure my cousin stays alive. She gave a worried look to Alaska before pushing the girl towards the monster. "Same deal to you Sis, Watch the tentacles, hit it hard. Be fine in a moment. Not my first mission." She got that all through gritted teeth, freezing with pain. And then there was another hunter touching her. /Poison's gone. Move Pidge./ "Thank you..." Nevada looked up at Ceres and nodded to the girl. "I'll owe you one." She moved again, bringing Leroy up. "I've got you guys covered from behind...." The more she shot though, and the harder her bullets hit, the more the monster looked like it was regenerating with her weapons FEAR. Nevada: 25/50 Damage: 13 Charge: 3/3 Boss: 153 (Because +13 damage /sobs)

The repeated blows were starting to make Wash feel dizzy. Maybe it wasn't the alcohol that was doing a number on his old friend, after all. It just wasn't his day. He didn't even like seafood-- suddenly, staring at the creature they all fought, Harland realized: this was what he'd been chasing, almost his whole life. The beasts he sought, the proof he wanted.
Harland pressed against Coyote's pressure plate, releasing the hookshot whip at his opponent.

A spiked tendril came at her, and Peyton had to Tuck and roll to avoid it. it brought her back to Lucky's side, and one again she placed herself in front of him, guarding him from harm. "Don't give up on me, Lucky." A glance over her shoulder showed the other trainee a little green around the gills, and a fresh wave of concern had her stomach twisting in knots. She'd heard the stories, had been expecting danger, but nothing her wild imagination had come up with even came close to this. Gnat's voice pulled her attention, and she was a little surprised to see the other Sun hiding under a table. "I'm trying to make sure we all get out of this alive, what're you doing?" If anything she shunned a little strained as she stared down at the other girl. "Get your fine a** out here or I swear to God I will never let you live this down." Assuming they all lived.. Movement out of the corner of her eye, and Peyton moved without thinking. a spike had come swinging from the left at Lucky and herself, and true to her weird, the girl the herself in front of it to take the full blue. It sent her bouncing off the floor, rolling to a stop not far from Gnat's table. Small hands clutching at her side where the wild had managed to stick her. OOC HP: 25 DMG: - CHG: 2/3 BOSS HP: ???
