It wasn't like Griffin could get any wetter after that, or at least he desperately hoped not. A little water on a hot day was nice, but a lot was overwhelming. Could he drown in this much water? He knew it was possible to drown in a bucket, but he hadn't been silly enough to put anything more than his hands in any of the bins. Unless they boarded up the sides of the yard, he was probably safe from drowning.
But what about exposure? Or pruning? His fingers were looking awfully wrinkly...
No, no time to worry about that. Griffin needed to get his momentum back. Reaching down, he picked up the only one of his balloons that hadn't burst in the hose attack. It wasn't much, but it was a start. As tempting as it was to throw it at the hose-wielding teacher, he instead tossed it at Akane as payback for... well, probably for something, he just couldn't remember at the moment.

Marisha, still grinning from her last victory, quickly looked for another of the cool balloons hoping for another that had suds or confetti in it. Spotting a small red one all by itself she grabbed it up. She had felt a bit bad for the smaller balloon as most of the kids had of course taken the larger ones around it. Stealing herself she looked for another target and upon spotting one near one of the water fountains on the edge grinned. She ran over with her 'prize' and quickly took aim for a side throw. As she threw it she knew her aim was true, the small balloon also lent towards greater speed so when it hit the kid there was a big splash of water despite its small size. Nodding in accomplishment she went to find more.

Okay, maybe that was a bit overdramatic. But Griffin was so sick of being covered with soap- or, more disgustingly, soap residue- that he was really ticked off when Akane chose that as her method of revenge. His next step would have to be just as severe. Fortunately, he had just the thing in mind, and he wouldn't even have to hunt it down.
Reaching into his pocket, Griffin pulled out a handful of confetti. Considering the balloons and the hose he'd been hit with since pocketing the stuff, it was more a sticky glob of paper than anything else, but it could still be thrown. And throw it he did, aiming for Akane and jumping up and down when it hit. Now that was how you took revenge!

Marisha found her next balloon and upon grabbing it up she ran to another part of the field. Slipping and sliding in the mud she felt as if, when this was all said and over, she would probably have to take around six baths to actually get clean. That was how much mud had managed to cake itself into her shoes and on her stockings up to her knees. Still Marisha grinned at the fact that her mother would probably find this both annoying and amusing.
Skidding to a stop in her new spot across the field from where she had started Marisha giggled when water and mud made a mini wave with her. She then took aim at a random kid and threw her balloon. However it seemed luck was against her because as she lifted the balloon above her own head it slipped! Marisha's eyes widened as she tried to move at the last second to no avail. Instead she only managed to avoid the balloon by a few seconds as she slipped in the mud below her and fell on her butt. Then the balloon broke over her head soaking her further. With a gasp and wide eyes Marisha tries to figure out how that just happened as she shivers slightly from the cold of the water.

Eliza had been spotted. Curses. She'd been hit twice while watching the fight and so she decided to shift her location. The tunnel could no longer serve as a secret base. However finding a new fort was proving difficult. She'd managed to get her hands on some more balloons and was busy trying to move them to the new fort when she felt the cold water from a hose strike her back. Eliza yelped. THAT WAS COLD!
As Eliza turned around to see what teacher it was that had hit her she felt the balloon in her hands slip. The hose attack had affected her grip. Eliza watched with horror as the balloon slipped from her grasp and splattered all over her feet.

Briar, had been about to throw his latest balloon in Marisha’s direction but had hesitated when he saw her balloon break over her head.
It would have been an easy shot, given that she’d fallen over, but it would also have been mean and Briar didn’t do plain mean. ‘Sides he’d been there, having his balloon break on him – though it had been his foot and not his head.
Turning he deliberately walked away from Marisha and lobbed the balloon in Akane’s direction instead.

The hip? Really? Well, it was a good thing he was already soaked or they would've made it look like he'd wet himself! Honestly! Snorting and shooting a disgusted look at the kid who'd just hit him, Trev very pointedly went off in the opposite direction with his balloons.
Along the way, he fired one off at some girl running by him and missed. But that was okay. He got 5 bazillion points for hitting the rock she'd been standing near.

Briar's next balloon toss wasn't so lucky - his throw was off, which meant that the balloon had ended kind of arching to the side.
His target hadn't been too happy at nearly being hit - at least not if the return balloon back was anything to go by.

Celebrating managing to avoid the retaliatory balloon, Briar hadn’t noticed the other one coming his direction until it hit his head and showered him with the icky confetti stuff.
He recognised the balloon thrower from earlier, and grinned as he spotted a nearby balloon.
Revenge would be swift in coming as the balloon was lobbed back in Derek’s direction.
