The event was definitely beginning to wind down, and while the zomboil wasn't physically exhausted by any means, mentally and emotionally he had taken a lot of hits this day.
"Ya I should really get back to the DDD booth to help Mei get things tidied up." He felt pretty badly about the fact that he'd pretty much abandoned her there most of the night, but he'd had his mom to deal with, and feelings, and then he had just needed a better distraction then sitting around keeping track of scores and selling baked goodies.
The hug from Belladonna was warm, and something inside of Alex's chest hitched at the memory of warm hugs he was not allowed to have anymore, though he closed his eyes against that pain and returned the gesture in kind before pulling away. "I'll see you around, Bella. And uh..I guess if you really want me to come to the meeting, I might be able to...."
His thought process was interrupted when a ghoul that he didn't actually recognize approached, and instantly he felt a little bit nervous, though he tried not to let it show. Hadn't he seen her talking with Belladonna before? She might have been a friend.
"Hi there, I'm Alexander." He held his hand out towards Alice. "I think I'll be alright with my booth. It's actually a friends and I'm just helping her out, really." He reached up his free hand to run fingers through his hair, a nervous gesture he never seemed to be able to get over.
