Romero glanced up when he heard the familiar voice. The voice belonged to Antonio, and it sounded exactly as it had so many years ago when the Venezuelan was a mere Spanish territory. “Hola, Antonio!” he greeted, smiling in appreciation of his motherland’s compliments. “It has been a while, hasn’t it? What have you done since I left you so many years ago?” he asked. Although it was his dear former boss Simón Bolivar who had infuriated Romero enough to declare independence quite violently from Spain, he had no hard feelings against his former superior. So long as Antonio dropped or forgot about his insistence on his former colonies to call him Madre, the two had no issues.
“As for me, you have a good chance of finding out what I’ve been up to in today’s lecture.” The Venezuelan glared at the history teacher, who was still droning on and on… “He might talk about South America soon.”
Out of Caracas: Yeah. But then again, history is written by the victors, not the losers; which would explain a lot if that was an American textbook you'd read. || Does this post style look better or the old one?

The Laidback Senior "Ah, well, lots of stuff has happened to me... Spanish-American war, economic problems... To put it simply, I had a bit of a hard life, but I was able to pull through." It was a bit depressing when all his territories declared their independance, but perhaps it was for the best... After all, with all his economic problems, he wouldn't be able to take care of all his little siblings. No matter how much he wanted them back. "Dios mio, where are my notes? Are we in early European history, or WWI?" he was looking through his papers. Antonio really wasn't the most organized person. Reino de España

Romero stared, amazed, as his 'mother' poked randomly through his notes, scattering several of them to the floor. He picked them up as they fell and glanced at their headings: Europe in the 1400s, World War One, the Pyramids of Giza...
Antonio was as unorganized as ever. The Venezuelan sighed in exasperation. "Dónde estabas un momento ayer?" he asked. "I just told you, Señor Aburrido is teaching us about the Americas in the 1900s. I also told you that I hoped he wouldn't discuss El Sur, but he probably will." He stacked the first Hispanic's fallen notes neatly together and handed them back to their owner.Out of Caracas: (Dónde... Well..." he couldn't tell Romero what he was doing yesterday. If he told him he was fighting a monsterous bird, he'd think he was as crazy as Arthur. "You were on a date with Lovino?" Romero rolled his eyes. "Still as lovesick as ever, I see." Being a nation who had dated a country but once in his long life--a most horrible experience indeed--he had never understood how other nations could get so emotionally attached to each other. Of course the Venezuelan understood parental love, having received it from Antonio before, but mutual love of the sort that befell every citizen in their twenties had always seemed to him frivolous and weak, especially when displayed openly among nations. It was a belief spawned of many years at war, and indeed it dictated the way he treated Luis and Antonio both now.
But, as a former subject of the Spanish Crown, Romero knew it would be polite to at least inquire on Antonio's feelings following his date. "So how did the date go?"

Romero caught himself too late and scowled. Damn those old memories! "Antonio," he said, still seated and still writing, "you describe every date with Lovino that way. Nothing more happened? Really? Sounds a little boring, if you ask me."
He was having a hard time talking to Spain and taking notes at the same time. But he knew he must--Antonio certainly wasn't, and Romero knew very well whose notes he would borrow.

When he mentioned the 'protection' aspect of what happened the night before, her head began to tilt slightly to the side, as if confused by what he said although she knew exactly what he was saying. "Don't beat yourself up over it, my body might seem frail to someone who has the sturdy background you have, but it's durable enough." She mused as her head realigned with the rest of her body. As he spoke about carrying her books, she shrugged her shoulders at his response. "Okay, that's fine with me." She replied before she looked to the side to find Cherelle approaching her.
Almost immediately, her brows furrowed at the sight of the islander before she tried to introduce herself to the island state. "We've already met." She told her, her voice still a bit monotone before she heard the bell ring. She looked up to the clock and blinked a bit before she let out a light sigh. At this point the senior class began to file into the history classroom, signaling that she should probably make her way out of here as soon as possible. She shimmied out of her desk before she hoisted herself up into a standing position, letting out a breath of air before she made her way out of the classroom. She noticed that she had passed Kiku on the way, but wasn't feeling well enough to actually greet him today. Although still very much in pain, she was well enough to walk to her classes, although she had to go at a rather slow pace. （HawaiianRollarcoasterRide - . . .）

Oh, yes! He had almost forgotten! Romero leaned over and tapped Antonio on the shoulder. "Oye, Antonio," he asked quietly so as to avoid being caught by the teacher, "would you like to come to our cook-off tonight at our dorm? Luis will be there, and you can invite Lovino if you want to also."
