Up the path a ways, Zethus found a shack. He'd gotten a bit chilly, so he decided to stop and see if he could get a coat or something till he came down. However, it seemed noone lived in the shack, so he walked inside, lit a small fire in the fireplace, and took a load off in a nearby chair. A little while later, he decided he'd stalled long enough and got up, doused the fire, and left to continue his climb. He didn't want Alistair to be disappointed.

It'd been a while since Zethus had left the cozy little shack behind. The snow continued to fall. The further up the mountain he went, the more he felt as if something was watching him. Then, after he'd started to think he was just paranoid, a skeletal beast leapt out from between some trees and made a beeline for him. Readying himself, he dropped into a boxing stance and fired off a few punches as the monster got close. To all appearances, he was simply hitting air, but he was using that air to attack the undead creature with blunt force. With every strike, a few pieces fell off of the beast. Soon it lay at his feet, broken to bits. As a final measure to make sure it didn't reanimate he summoned all his strength, raises his foot, and brought it down hard on the skull lying in the snow. It shattered, as did the rest of the bones lying there. He shivered as the wind picked up, then turned and continued up the mountain.

ℳamoru stretched quietly as he sensed two people pass by him as he took a nap. He pushed off the wooden sign as he disappeared up the trail toward the top of the mountain. He stuffed his white gauze covered fists into his pockets as he wandered up the rocky pass. [1/10]

ℳamoru disappeared up the pass into a flurry of falling snow as it peppered his lanky muscular form. His red eyes peered through the falling snow as he focused on the path before him. The cold wind from the snow storm blasts into his uncovered torso as he traveled up the mountain slowly without much trouble. [2/10]

ℳamoru wandered up the increasing slope of the snowy pass that he had traveled during his last trip up to this infernal place. He paused halfway up the pass as he decided to prepare for the incoming battles that would impact his way up the hill as he bit into his thumb to cause enough blood to flow out from the nick in his thumb. He effortlessly drew an oval on the back of his hand with a small circle hidden with in the depths of it before he placed another symbol up on his long arm in the shape of a bloody feather. He wipes his finger on the black jeans before the cold weather causes the bloody wound to ice over. He disappears into the winding pathway shrouded by the snow. As he continues his pathway up the mountain he stumbles up on a skeleton barring his pathway. His red eyes glare at the offending creature in his way as he sends a blast of air rocketing out of his fist, which sends the creature tumbling off the edge. [4+3 7/10]

ℳamoru slips through the snowy flurry that blocked the pass down the mountain as his black boots crunched against the snow that covered his path. His red eyes land up on some that stood in the center of the pass, while his lanky arms hung by his side. He was rather confused on the reason that he had to trek all the way up the mountain top, but shrugged his shoulders as he wandered closer the figure as the smell of fresh blood would fill the air from his wound on his finger that was used to draw the strange symbols on his arm and back of his hands. His lazy gaze would stare at the person as he slipped his silvery straight sword into his right hand, while he kept his left hand free before he slipped into his standard form for his weapon. A surge of purplish light would flow off his body as the symbols on his body cascaded with the same glow.

Her head tilted slowly, an eery stare as she was not breathing, or blinking, no heartbeat pushing blood through dead veins. Her whole frame was ignited in a fiery red flames, it crept from her hands, the ends of her hair...any flash of flesh was swarming with energy. She wasn't home though, her gaze was far off almost a dull dead. Red let the flames of hell course her, webbing their spiny tendrils around what would be considered a soul, a wraith in every sense. It was rage, a bright crimson ocean of it and its waves were violent, thrashing against everything. [1/2]
It was beautiful, this rapture, this blazing inferno that fell from her eyes. It drained her face of everything but the disguise. It would push her, this fighter's spirit, this will to drive on because she had to be stronger. It was for him. Whoever he was. Everything she was doing and would do was because of him. As the energy came full circle, it transformed, melding with her own curvature. In her mind it surged, in life, it simply looked like the fire was put out.[2/2] By this time the man had drawn his blade and took his stance...she wasn't wasting another second for his advance. She'd come to him!
Listen to my words and listen well.
Red pushed off, running straight on at the man. This zombie was much faster than the rest of them up on this mountain, her chains were broken and she was free. As she moved in her hands swirled with gathering energy, each palm was vibrantly alive with color.

Zethus heard deep rumbling and looked up the slope. Avalanche! He turned and sped downhill, aided by his speed training. He made it to cover just as the snow roared by, bringing a few trees and boulders with it. When it passed, he grumbled and began to recoup his lost progress.

Another avalanche met Zethus only a few meters up the slope, forcing him back to the bottom a second time.

Finding himself outside the shack again, Zethus decided he actually needed the rest this time. He stopped in for a while, then doused the fire and trudged up the mountain once more.

Up the path a ways from the shack, Zethus found a cave that made his journey much shorter. Emerging from the other side, he continued his trek to the peak. Every once in a while he'd look up at the moon that was steadily growing even larger than it had been.

On the other side of the cave, Zethus found another shack. He decided another stop couldn't hurt, as he was already making terrible time because of the avalanches. Later, as he looked up again, he saw that he didn't have too far to go.

Zethus found another cave not far from the second shack. It seemed his luck had improved after those avalanches, because the other side of the cave opened up onto the mountain's peak. Zethus rushed out, hoping for a chance to prove himself, only to see the strange man from the mountain's base locked in combat with what seemed to be a dead woman, who in reality was anything but. WHAT THE HELL? HOW'D HE GET HERE BEFORE ME?? HE WAS ASLEEP!!! he fairly screamed in his head. Seething, he decided that jumping in wouldn't be a good idea, and settled down in the shadows at the edge of the clearing. He'd learn from this fight, even if only through observation. He'd learn their strengths, their weaknesses, their blind spots. Things he could use if he ever needed to.
