After a couple hours of their horses racing as quickly as possible on the dusty dirt roads, Arbelum was clear in sight. Mala made her horse slow down. She grinned. "Whaddya know? We're here already!"

Mala was aching as well, but had a bit more tolerance for pain than Riley did. "Suck it up. We've got to go find someone who knows anything about removing the curse. Also.." Mala grabbed one of Riley's hands, smiling her sweet big sister smile once more. "Please stay close to me, okay? Even if you aren't my brother, Dan, Riley is."

Van looked slightly surprised when Mala grabbed his hand, but averted his eyes. "Close enough..." he muttered upon her getting his name wrong AGAIN.

Mala lead the way through the entrance and through the market square only to notice how dismal the mostly only male population seemed to be. There were little to no women in sight. The ones that were in sight were elderly or not blessed as far as appearances go. "Hm..everyone seems so dismal here. It's not much better than Atalus when I was young, it seems."

Van raised an eyebrow. "I thought a dock town like this would be, I dunno, more lively. And have more chicks."
((Nah, your good. Though I would say they're probably going to be taxed for every little thing. >XD))

Mala sighed. "We're going to need new clothes, then. My uniform is too obvious and I've made damn sure to keep Riley dressed in the best I could afford, which is a bit too expensive judging by what everyone else is wearing." she noted with a frown. "We aren't getting rid of our current clothes, though. There's no way in hell I'm going to let that happen."

"Just make sure it isn't soaked in urine or covered in lice. I have standards." Mala said stubbornly. "Make sure that they're at least semi-clean. Don't get caught, even though I doubt anybody will miss those ugly rags, and report back to me immediately. No dwadling! Understand??" she said, switching from the stubborn deva to the naggy elder sister once again.
