Shadowkit's eyes narrowed understanding it some. "So. . . . Sunnybreeze is dead now, and Dawnkit will be the new medicine cat?" He tilted his head at Mothfur then flicked his tail for his sister to be quiet.

Mothfur withdrew from her nuzzling, directing her attention to Shadowkit. "Not quite, son. StarClan has to accept Dawnkit in order for her to be the Medicine Cat, although I'm not so sure what will happen now that Sunnybreeze is dead..." Will we have to ask another clans' medicine cat?
"But, who's...?" Kinkkit wanted to continue, but the situation seemed serious, and Shadowkit obviously wanted her to keep quiet.

Dawnkit's ears were flat at this point. She turned and nuzzled fully into Tigerlily. Her fears were started to rear their head again, as she heard the truth pretty much tumbling out the mouths of newborn kits. Even they could see that her future was clouded, and for the moment, the safety and warmth of Tigerlily was where she wanted to be as she stay close to her for a few moments.
Though she knew she couldn't stay there long, she had promised herself when her clan accepted Tigerlily that she wasn't going to run away anymore. She couldn't run away from this either, no matter how painful it was. For a clan leader did not communicate with Star clan, and that was the purpose of a medicine cat.
So, how could she determine if ...in fact, that Star clan would accept her? Did she really need Star clan to accept her?
The thought fluttered through her mind.
Surely there had to be a time when there was a medicine cat whom did not communicate with Starclan, but then again, how could their be such a cat if the most important job of a medicine cat was to communicate with them.
Her tail flicks a bit as she would gain some distances from Tigerlily once again.
"I have to go report it, mother."
She declares to her, and then with a quick movement of paws ...she rushed towards the Clan leader's ledge.
A hard struggle for the kit would bring her to the mouth of the cavern as she raises her voice to speak into the entrance way.
"Berrystar, ....can I talk to you?"
Even raised it came out as a slight ....mew that seemed not much above a whisper. Dawnkit would probably have to do better than what she was doing.

(( I'm terribly sorry. I'm behind in homework, so I haven't had much free time to myself... don't be surprised if I ditch Gaia for a bit again. D: ))
Berrystar perked up from where he was laying, gazing at Dawnkit curiously. "Huh? Oh, of course, Dawnkit." he replied. The leader sat himself in front of the kit, noticing just how saddened she seemed. Something was horribly wrong. But what? "What's wrong, Dawnkit?" Berrystar asked softly.

Shadowkit sighed and padded back over to Mothfur. "Momma, how much longer till we become Apprentiace's?" The lean kit looked up at his mother with amber eyes.
