It was slightly odd seeing someone else jump so high. Seeing both sisters do so made Seiji wonder how many people at the school could do so. It probably wasn't uncommon to do so. Still, it made Seiji feel much more normal. He always had to conceal his abilities in 'normal' communities. Here he felt at home, or as close to home as he could get aside from going back to his teachers.
He nodded to himself, and focused on his Kei. As he did so, the Kei around his blade dulled, the hue becoming darker. Soon his legs were outlined in the indigo and Seiji took a few steps toward the building. Once the Kei was sufficient enough, he bent his legs, pushing off from the ground with almost no effort. The Psyharden rose into the air, higher and higher until he was a few feet higher than the roof. He landed gently and made his way over to the twins, the Kei fading from his legs and rushing back into the katana, causing the glow to brighten.
"It feels good to be able to move about so freely. I like it," Seiji said aloud, smiling as he did so. Freedom in it's best sense, not having to hide who he was and what he could do. It was something he hadn't experienced since he left his mentors.

Ranka was focused upon her task at hand, glancing through each spirits eyes as they spread out, sighing lightly. She could tell she was bothered about something, but she wasn't sure what. To Seiji, she doubted it would be as clear if it were clear at all.
Turning to face him, she smirked, a bit of light seeming to grow around her finger tips. "It is nice to not have to hide yourself, isn't it?" She then turned, looking down to the building beneath them. She spotted no glows from inside, sighing. "I really hope they aren't in the woods, I don't want to operate in there. Pesky light stealing sprites are in there." She muttered, breaking into a run, leaping onto the roof of the next building, where the teachers resided. Ranka followed suite, noticing the faint glow coming from under her eye-patch. Grimacing slightly, she knew there was a limit to what they could do and they were probably fast approaching it, waiting on the roof while she glanced around. Ducking, she knocked away a stray arrow that came up from below, frowning a little bit.
So the mermaids spotted them. "Chew on this." She murmured, holding out her free hand in the direction of the lake. Suddenly screams erupted from there, clenching her hand into a fist. Under the water, a couple of mermaids suddenly fell still, their bodies floating up to the surface. There was a bright light that flared to life beneath her shirt right at her collar bone, blazing a hole into her clothes. She hung there like a doll for a moment, almost appearing lifeless before she was thrown to the ground below, leaving a fair sized dent in the ground.
Coughing, the smoke began to clear, wincing as she forced herself to sit up. Ok, so she couldn't do that. Or rather, was punished for stepping that far. Looking to her one hand, it was snapped at an ugly angle, blood flowing from it due to a bone puncturing through. "Oh... thats a pretty sight..." Putting down her gunblade, she held a hand over her wound, a golden light emanating from her palm. It looked like the light was steadily knitting things together, the bone receding back under her skin, the muscle and sinew knitting together once more. Since it was herself, this was taking a little longer than normal.

Seiji watched as they started forward. He had been about to jump when the arrow flew by. Looking to the source, Seiji glanced to the twins, wondering if either of them had been struck. Watching as Sheryl worked her magic, it seemed like nothing for her.
Seiji looked to see what Sheryl had done, his eyes wandering to the lake for a moment. Until he heard the crash, Seiji's attention was on the mermaids. As he turned to look for the source of the noise, he noticed Sheryl missing and clued in right away. His eyes moving to her landing spot, Seiji's eyes widened seeing her on the ground.
His Kei flowing into his legs once more, Seiji started toward the edge of the building and leaped. His legs glowed brightly, his feet touching the side of the building for a moment half way down. Pushing himself off from the wall, he braced himself as the ground rushed up. Landing almost silently, Seiji ran over to Sheryl to check on her.
He had been about to ask if she was alright, but she was already in the middle of repairing herself. Seiji should have guessed she could do such a thing. Though he had to wonder what had gone wrong. Had she been hit by an arrow? He couldn't see any. "What happened?"

Though she should probably have been writhing in pain since her bones had broken and shot through her skin, she wasn't. A pleasant thing about her abilities was that once she started healing it was replaced by a warmth that overtook all other sensation. Looking to the hole in her shirt, the seal on her collar bone was now clear as day, glaring at all to see. It was intricately drawn, and almost seemed carved into her flesh.
Looking up as Seiji ran over, she was about to answer when Ranka appeared next to him, having jumped off the roof in close pursuit. "She went over the limit of power that has been set for her." Ranka answered simply, crouching down next to her, she held up the damaged arm, not phased by the damage done. Her sisters hand was coming out of the wrong angle, settling to how it should be. "You know you aren't supposed to go that far. And besides-""Death is your realm. Yeah.... I know." She muttered, obviously not happy, though her features smoothed out as she looked up to him. "We have seals on our powers so they are reduced while we are here. The Elder's didn't want us causing problems considering what we could do. And well... I was just punished a bit for overstepping it." She explained, slowly getting up, glad to at least find her legs in working order.

Reaching the courtyard Jareth soon located Calcifer, mounting the dapple grey warhorse to avoid the crowds of students flooding towards the cafeteria. The darkness that had approached the school made Jareth's head spin for a few moments, with nothing but open air between him and it he began to laugh, the sound hysterical and mad. In response the horse reared, it's large hooves plunging into the air so fiercely they may have injured another student. Setting off at an easy canter they headed towards the lake together, disregarding the orders set for students. "For all it's beauty, it should not be here...think what the Lady would say!" Jareth muttered into his steed's ear, tutting as if shocked.

They were doing rather well keeping the arrows and spears at bay, but by now the mermaids were starting to run out of ammunition. Grinning as she knocked down another spear, she noticed the mermaids pause in their onslaught. And then two bodies floated to the surface. "Uh-oh." She hadn't seen anything happen, so why'd they drop dead? Is it another student? She wondered, glancing around though she saw nothing. She certainly heard a great thud on the other side of school though.
Shaking her head, the mermaids were now pissed. "I got this!" She held her swords out somewhat towards the ground (more at a 45 degree angle), her golden eyes flaring to life. The lake water began to roil around the mermaids, the edges of the lake suddenly shooting up into the air. It came crashing down on top of them, forming a bubble over where they had been, hardening into a thick outer shell of ice. They would be fine inside, just trapped. She could see some pounding on it to get out, but they wouldn't. Not if she could help it. She looked to the two teachers who had raised an eyebrow, giving a nervous grin.
Relaxing, she straightened up a bit, cracking her neck. Letting go of her swords, the wind sprite and water sprite that seemed to comprise them flew up to her shoulder and came to rest there. "So..... anyone got any ideas what to do now?" She asked, turning to look up to Elly.

Seiji's eyes looked over her wound, still having some trouble believing that it was so easy for her to fix herself. As long as everything turned out alright then he supposed it was better for him not to ask questions. It wasn't like he hadn't seen someone with the ability to heal themself before. Some Psyhardens had been known to do so. Perhaps if Seiji learned enough, he could one day use his Kei for healing purposes.
The thing that Seiji was surprised most about, was how unphased she seemed about her wound. Did they not feel pain? Or just not show it? Either way, it was amazing to him that the injury to her hand was the only visible wound. It seemed more than likely that someone falling form that height should have mutiple injuries. Maybe they were also extremely durable. Sehryl had said they were technically not human, or rather Old Ones as she had said.
When Ranka began to speak, Seiji rose to his feet, turning to face her. A limiter? A seal on their abilities. It did sort of make sense. Having control over life and death, the twins could be very dangerous on the right terms. Especially with the use of their full potential. He could only imagine the sort of things they could do without the seals. A limit on their abilities might be a hindrance, but if they were here to learn than it also made sense.
"I see," Seiji replied simply. "Well...as long as you're alright then. Erm..I guess maybe we should be careful of where we tread then. Or rather how we do. If we do run into anyone suspicious, it may be better for the both of you not to over exert yourselves. While I have no limits on what I can do, there is a limit to how much Kei I can use over time. I don't think we have to worry for now, but still. Let's be more careful from here on out."

Ranka helped Sheryl up, both turning to look at Seiji as he spoke. She placed a hand on her sisters shoulder, knowing she'd rather be doing something than not, herself not really caring either way. She nodded for the two of them, unhooking her scythe from her back, the blade shooting up to it's normal position. "Indeed." She murmured, adjusting her eye patch a bit.
Holding up a hand, the two mermaids spirits were now floating around, taking a deep breath. Glancing from her sisters seal, there wasn't much they could do now that it was exposed. She pulled off the cover at this point, figuring it was better if she had both eyes rather than just one. Her left eye was crimson like the other but her seal practically went over it, leaving it a more milky washed out shade. Tying her eye-patch to the staff, she looked to the spirits, her seal glowing faintly. "Sheryl, right what you have done wrong. The Elder's permit it.". Taking a break from healing herself, she winced, blood still seeping from the wound. "Very well." Her seal began to glow as well, the glow in her hand remaining as she focused on the lingering energy within the corpses, her blue eyes flashing gold as she sent back the spirits and brought them to life once more.
Her lips tightened to a thin line, going back to healing herself, concentrating on it since she was almost done."There's no one in the academic buildings, and so far the ghosts have only spotted the students, teachers, and the guards Ms. Kobiyashi created in the area of the cafeteria. If they are around, then they may be hiding in the darkness or shadows I guess would be more accurate to say. Or, they are elsewhere. Such as the woods." She told them, the glow from her seal fading. Taking Sheryl's hand, she turned to walk towards the buildings, knowing it would be safer for them to move away from the point of impact. "At this point, what do you wish to do?" She asked Seiji, the breeze ruffling her silvery white hair.

Seiji watched, not really seeing a whole lot. Other than the glow form Sheryl, he really could see much. Then again it was likely due to the fact that he never had much in the wa of dealing with spirits. Everything he had always had a run in with was living in some manner or another. Once it seemed that Sheryl was done with her task and returned to healing herself, Seiji looked about making sure they were still alone.
When Ranka posed the question to him, Seiji stayed silent, having to think it over. Normally, he'd like to search out the cause of this whole situation. But given that they didn't know who or what it was yet, that may not be the best course of action. In truth, even if they did find who was behind this, if they couldn't combat them then there was no point. If they were powerful enough to cause this much ruckus and force Atlas and the staff to take action than Seiji doubted he would be able to bring that person, or people, down by himself.
"Hmm. Well, at the very least we should keep moving..." Seiji said aloud, still thinking. "If Atlas and the staff are searching for them now, then there's no point in chancing a run in with them. We'll only be sent back, and likely scolded. On that note, if the both of you are limited to what you can do anyhow, it may be best that we don't search out a fight."
Whatever course of action they took, it seemed like there were risks in every direction. They would have to choose eventually. It was probably better that they avoid any conflict for the time being. At least until Sheryl had healed herself. "I guess we wander about for now. I'd rather not go back to the cafeteria. We're already outside. Seeing as we'd likely only be a nuisance for the staff, we'll keep out of sight from them. Anything from there on we'll take as it comes. I don't see much else of a choice at the moment."

Ranka glanced to Sheryl's hand, not seeming phased by the fact she was healing an exposed tendon, not quite getting to regrowing the skin just yet. "That is wise. Though we are limited, we are not helpless. We have a little lee way in what we can do. At the very least I can reanimate the dead to our aid. There are enough skeletons in the area for that to be possible." She murmured, spinning her scythe in her hand. Glancing to the ground, she suddenly looked up, her eyes cast about them. They were being watched. "We should get moving." She murmured, her brows furrowing a little. That was probably the first time her expression had changed at all that day. Taking a few more moments, the skin suddenly shot back over her hand, having her hand circle around to test it. "Alright, I'm good. Let's run for the hedge maze. I'll teleport us otherwise they'll see." Bringing her glowing hand down, a door of light opened for them in the grass, Ranka already jumping on ahead. They'd appear in the center of the maze and would be safe for the moment. Waiting for him to go, she'd leave last, feeling a burning sensation in her seal. She'd end up punished later, she knew it. What had just happened was nothing.

Seiji nodded a simple response. His thoughts were still racing, but he was trying his best to stay as clam as he possibly could. He kept getting the feeling that sooner or later they would have to face someone. Whether it be some of the teachers, or someone behind the attack. At the moment he wasn't sure which one he would prefer.
Following after Ranka, the raven haired boy glanced back to Sheryl before commiting himself to following completely. Better to make sure they were all capable of moving. With Sheryl using her powers so freely, it seemed only natural that she might be a bit more laggin behind. If she had just been punished by her Elders, then who was to say she was in top condition?
As he moved, Seiji kept his eyes forward, now feeling relief since he was sure that both twins were present. Despite not having any actual scuffles in combat so far, he was still on edge. He couldn't help but feel like something bigger was coming. If the academy was being attacked, than so far everything seemed like a diversion for something else.
When the trio finally reached the centre of the maze, Seiji sighed lightly. He felt a little safer, but still kept a firm grip on his Dite. "I'm not exactly a sensory type...do either of you feel anything nearby?" Seiji asked, scanning the area quickly.

Once he went through, Sheryl followd suite, closing the portal the instant she stepped in. The same went for when she stepped out into the maze. Ranka was obviously speaking with someone, probably one of the spirits, straightening up as she stepped up next to him.
Her sister shook her head, now taking her turn. Closing her eyes, she walked to the nearest wall and placed her hand on it, the roots of the living thing allowing her to cast a wide net. "Initially I would say nothing. But... something feels odd." Her brows furrowed, opening her eyes to look at the two of them. "It's like.... um... oh how to put it... There's a pocket. Like, I can't sensing inside it. Nor really pinpoint it. But the network of energy here is certainly not all as it should be. Did that make any sense?" She murmured, her blue eyes a little troubled.

"Sort of.." Seiji answered. "An area where you can't quite tell. Maybe someone's distorting their energy? Or hiding nearby to keep from being discovered. It would make sense for someone to do so. In that case.. we have two options. We can search out and find the reason for the anomoly, or move in the opposite direction of it."
Seiji wasn't opposed to either of the options. He honestly wasn't looking for a purpose to fight, nor a reason to run. He was trying to think logically. Just laying out the paths openly seemed to help him think. He wasn't sure which choice to follow, so he was hoping that perhaps either Sheryl or Ranka would make the decision for him. "What do you think?"
Moving away meant likely having to stay hidden. If whatever or whoever was near by, than Atlas and his group would probably come around this area sooner or later. On the other hand, seeking out the area meant risking the chance of obvious danger. Was he feeling brave today? No more than usual. He'd wait to see what the twins wanted to do first and continue from their response.

Sheryl's brows furrowed more, double checking the area. "I don't know. It feels more like they are hiding. It's like a folded space. I'm sure if we looked at it, the area would look normal." She turned to look to him but paused.
She tried to figure out if there was more than one, or if it was someone hiding, biting her lower lip. Right as he asked what they wanted to do, she pulled her hand back and drew out her pistols. "We better go. Now. They don't like that I located them!" She broken into a run in the opposite direction she sensed it, which happened to be to the left, now heading off to the right. Ranka was right behind her, sticking close so they wouldn't end up separated. "Stick close! Don't want to get lost." She could tell where to go since she could sense where the hedges were and all that, knowing where the exit was in this direction.

It wasn't long before Seiji got his answer on what they were going to do. He was still looking about, wondering if they were close to whoever we behind all this. It wasn't until Sheryl's sudden warning and movement that Seiji broke from this line of thought. Sensing ill intent? Seiji only glanced around for a quick moment before he followed after the twins.
Rather than using his Kei, Seiji simply followed after, making sure to keep them in his line of vision. If need be his Kei could easily help him escape from the immediate area. But he felt no ominous presence at the moment. That and he wasn't about to leave Sheryl and Ranka behind. Seiji's eyes darted left to right, his grip still firm on the katana. Were they giving chase? Or had it been a mere warning? He didn't plan on stopping to find out.
This was the first time he had seen Sheryl in such a state. She almost seemed panicked. Rounding a corner, Seiji leaped forward a little in order to catch up to the twins. He'd been falling behind slightly, but was now on their heels. "Where next? If they're giving chase we should know where we're heading instead of just running."
