He looked at her a bit uncertain. "Ummm, ok." He said a bit uncertain. He lifted his shirt a bit, showing his bruise. It was over-top a fairly large scar. There was also the start of several other smaller scars, some almost completely faded. He remembered how he got that scar. He almost got skewered by a spear during his first battle. He managed to kill the spearman, but he paid the price forit.

Karasi's eye's traveled over the numerous scars. "You've been in many battles, it seems," she said, imagining the pain that large one must have caused before examining the bruise. It was not as bad as it could have been, considering the force of the impact. Still, it covered a large portion of his hip. It was still fairly red, that was a good thing, the blood had not had time to dry yet, though there were brown patches starting to form.

"This is just one of many scars I have obtained, but some are not for your eyes. Hence why I'm only lifting thispart of my shirt, I don't want to share my pain unto others." He said. Especially the two large round scars on his shoulders. Those were specially painful, for they were what marked his people mainly.

Karasi nodded in understanding. "We all have scars we would rather not share with others," she stated smiple. Her own were not physical, but on her heart. Perhaps one day she would be able to tell others, but for now it was to painfull, even eight years later.

Giving the bruise one last look, she stepped back to the counter, measuring out her hebs and mixing them together, adding a little water and some juices to make a paste. Digging in her pack again, she pulled out some linnen bandages. Gathering both, she walked back to Khuni. "This may be a little cold," she said, placing the poultice onto the bruise. When she was done, she wrapped the bandages around, tight enough to stay in place and to do their job, but loose enough not to be uncomfortable.

"You didn't need to put in the rose hips for me." He commented. "They only slow the healing process, only for the sake of it not stinging on where it is applied." He finished. "But a very nice job you did." He complemented. "You've must've had an excellent healer and a good teacher." He said, looking back at when he was first learning how.

Karasi smiled sadly as she finished off her work. "My mother taught me, when I was younger," she said as she tied the last knot. Going over to the basin, she washed her her hands, though her mind was only half on her task. "The elders of the village I grew up in taught me after she... could not finish. And your right, she was an excelent healer, and the best teacher I have ever had. She knew exactly how to teach me her art, what it was that caught my attention." Karasi's eyes were distant as she dried her hands and leaned against the wall.

By the way she talked, he could probably guess what happened to her mother. Well, maybe not what happened exactly. But he knew what the outcome was. "That is an excellent teacher, one that can make learning enjoyable." He said to her, setting the shirt down. "Well, enough dwelling on the past. How are your lessons going?" He asked her.

Karasi blinked at the question, bringing herself fully back into the present. "They are going well, for all that it has only been one day. I was only tested by my swords teacher today. Queen Takara tested me as well, though she seemed intent on feeling my current limitations as well, she did show me a few new things. I am looking forward to tomorrow." Now would be the perfect time to ask him, she knew. But would he agree? She decided she would not know unless she put the question out. "Khuni?"

He looked at her. "Yes?" He asked back, wondering what she was going to ask. Maybe she wanted to train with him, seeing his fight earlier today. If she did, he wouldn't really know how to answer her. But it was probably better then her asking who he really was, and where he come from and stuff like that. It would deffinately make things awkward for him. Oh well, he would just have to wait and see.

((Yay.^_^ And yes I love that song.))

Ratic noted the the queen looked uneasy a little. He knew she hide a lot of feelings and it would work to many others, but Ratic understand her suffering. His family was sluttered too, but whenever he would think of them, he would smile. Ratic knew they would want it that way. Ratic sighed and bowed once again. "I'll go follow Shin and the two little ones." Ratic smiled and walked after Shin. He kicked Shin in the leg for pay back.

Shin was still singing the song when he felt someone kick him. He looked behind him to find Ratic grinning at him. Shin glared at him for ruining his moment to sing. It was the first time he had thought about it ever since the fire. The song had broght of good memories of her. They were old childhood friends. Even though he was olny 10 he loved her never much. Kirra had her personality. Shin guessed that's way he loved the cat.

Shin smiled at all the good times he had with his Fiance. The time he tought her how to bend fire to do her binding. Sadly it never helped her or him in their greatest need for it. Shin sighed again as he watched Kirra try to pounce of Eveel again. This time she actually made it a little to his tail.

Eveel scrambled forward as Kirra came flopping at him, though the large cat landed on his tail. He stopped, looked over at her and pulled his tail back. Then he got into a playful position, growling at her before he attempted to jump up. Like her, he couldn't quite walk, so he missed by a few inches and landed on the ground. He got right back up, and instead of trying to pounce on Kirra he climbed up and laid down on her. He purred, finding the cat to be a rather comfortable pillow. A gaurd who was passing by glanced over and couldn't help but cover his mouth to hide his smile; even snorting as he contained a laugh.

Takara opened her eyes, watching as Ratic walked back over to Shin and the two creatures. She kept her eyes on the four, watching as Eveel stood up on Kirra and tried to bite her despite the fact that he had no teeth. He growled, his tail going with excitement glimmering through his eyes. The queen looked back into the door that was opened just a bit so she could see the inside of her room. She shut the door, wondering where she should go next. The rumors that were dashing around like fire on oil was almost a handicap. She couldn't go around the castle that much with so much flying everywhere. And besides, the memories that had bubbled up would distract her. She supposed that she would go the garden, her original destination. Takara glanced up at the dragon, turning around to leave when she heard him squeal. Eveel went strait to her, jumping up onto her dress and looking up at her with sad eyes.

"No, do not leave me mother...." He begged as he hung off of her dress, making her bend over and pick him. Takara looked up at the dark elf and human, making a gesture down the hall.

"Perhaps you would care to join me?" She asked as she lowered her hand, Eveel going up onto her shoulder and growling down at Kirra with a wagging tail.

Karasi breathed deeply before she asked, he probably already knew, in which case she would not be able to sway his awnser in any way. "Would you... would you teach me? Would you train me in combat?" She knew it was a lot to ask. He had told her once before that he did not wish to fight any more battles. But, she thought, if he would, and she could get trainning from someone else afterwards, maybe, she hoped, Sir Tamuril. She would be able to have a wider range when it came to combat, and when it came time to find her families murderers.

Ratic shook his head. "No...My queen. I've been up for sometime, so I'll just find a place to go to sleep." He bowed and tried pushing Shin to the ground to make fun of him, but Shin evaded him and glared at him. Ratic smiled and walked down the hall and went to the outside wall of the castle and went to sleep.

Shin picked Kirra up, who was trying to go to his shoulder, but was too fat and tired to do so. Shin smiled at her and Made a slite bow, to make sure Kirra didn't fall. "I would love to, Queen Takara. I feel like I need to get out somewhere anyways." Shin smiled and followed Takara.

"Actually, I was actually thinking about training you in Kaskha." He said. "But, you will have to complete your current training first before I can start teaching you." He said. Especially since she wasn't strong enough physically or mentally yet. It will take time, but the rewards she will reap will be great.
