My friends don't mind Dir En Grey, I've got many of them listening to them. There are like two friends though who see my school folder and are like "ZOMFG there's trannies all over your stuff! surprised "
My Dad has no idea who Dir En Grey are but I tried to sit him down and explain what Jrock was. He was like "Okay. Sounds cool." ... I hate it when he uses the word cool. sweatdrop

Heck, my parents couldn't care less what I listen to or what Diru is xD. Gosh, they're all even coming to the concert in Toronto to watch them. What they'll think of Diru after they see Kyo.. I'm not exactly sure, but they're probably not going to stop me from listening/obsessing over them 8D.

My parents think practically everything I do is weird. x3;
My mom doesn't really care but my dad thinks most of the music I listen to is trash~
and I think that if I ever showed them any of Dir en grey's stuff
I wouldn't be able to see them live until I got out of this house xd

Well...here in Hungary they are pretty much unknown.
One of my friends actually knows them and she said "They have some pretty cool songs ya know!"
I visited my auntie with my dad who doesn't live with us anymore, and I bought my Withering to Death CD 'coz I like listening to my music while I drive, and my dad said "Is this even music? I understand you like them, but..." xp
My mom doesn't really like them, although she listens to some of their songs - she likes the older ones more, practically the slow ones like Ain't afraid to Die and Embryo. When she first saw a pic of Kyo she was scared! eek
Famous quotes of my mom about Diru:
"That one in the corner...Is that a man too?" - obviously she thought Shinya was a girl. confused
"Oh, now would you look at that! He has such sleepyhead-eyes!" and "Girl, he's so short and skinny, what do you like in him?", and, when I caught her singing Dead Tree "What? At least he screams in tune!" These are all what mom said so far about Kyo sweatdrop
But she told me I could go to one of their European concerts! And she even said she would come too if she likes "The Marrow of a Bone" - which I doubt she would. crying
But if you take my grans - now, she's really cool about it. She's in co-op with me about Kyo's present - if my mom found out I bought him an expensive present she would take away my Diru stuff no doubt ! crying
And yesh..grans actually thinks Kyo is cool - she said he looks "confused, but altogether he's quite fine with me" 4laugh
Although today when I randomly stated "I'm in love with my neutered cat and a Japanese singer" and I asked my grans "Which of them should I choose?" she said the cat, because the cat lives with me! gonk And I was like "but he's neutered!" grans just laughed and waved - she was joking - at least I hope so. neutral
