**Thiago**Davi**

"Whiskey sour please, Mr. Bond," royal blue eyes twinkled merrily at the costumed bartender. Davi turned slightly to scan the crowd. It was filling out slowly and the tiled garden was starting to buzz with lubricated conversation. More than a few glances settled on him for a moment too long to be mere curiosity; he was recognized by some. It was hard to avoid when one was an international pop star, but he knew he wouldn't be accosted. That was the code here, and everyone present knew it- guests are, and are to remain, anonymous. Not that Davi disliked being greeted by any of his fans, but Guilty Pleasures was specifically for getting away from it all, and in his years vacationing here it had never been a problem.

"Let's not get a big head now," he reprimanded himself mentally. The other guests could just be looking at his costume, which was by all accounts simply outrageous. The pop star towered in five inch silver platform knee high boots. He was wearing a tight body suit that bulged in all the right places. The material was an ethereal blue decorated with swirls of dark blue and silver stitching and glitter. The neckline consisted of a high popped collar and a deep V down to there. Silver elbow length gloves covered his hands and arms. His belly, chest, neck, and face were covered in more of the blue and silver glitter swirls while he had done his lips and eyes in a deep rust red. Davi had styled his hair wildly with a row of liberty spikes fronting a cotton candy teased confection. The hair was its natural rich brown but covered with a frosty colored hair spray. All in all you could call the look "ice alien diva" or simply "Davi lets his freak flag fly."

James Bond passed him the bright green and immensely tasty drink with a barely suppressed grin. "Thank you very much," the pop start supplied with a smile. He was so happy to be back here. Touring had kept him away too long. There were so many new faces, and with everyone in costume it was hard to tell who was staff, companion, or client. Davi wandered slowly through the crowd taking it all in, exchanging pleasantries when stopped, but moving along once more. Lots of good costumes here tonight. Of course there was a gaggle of the requisite "pimps and hos"- looks like that Halloween tradition was never going to change. A zombie here, a psycho ax murderer there, a vampire who looked vaguely familiar but also like he really wanted to tear the throat out of anyone who dared speak to him.

To one side a prettily decorated table with a tea setting and some cards had been set up. It was currently half occupied by a very beautiful young man in a traditional and elaborate looking Japanese costume sipping tea. An interesting butterfly tattoo adorned his face just under stunning blue eyes. Davi walked over to the table realizing as he got closer that it must be some kind of fortune telling set up. The young man grew even more gorgeous and exotic looking as he approached.

"Hi there," the ice alien diva greeted with a smile. "I'm Davi, a client. I've been away for a while and feel like I don't know anyone here anymore; especially with all the costumes," saying that made him wonder what the young man in front of him looked like on any other normal day. "I'd like to ask you for two favors if you don't mind. First, I'd love your name," he asked still smiling, "And second, I'd appreciate it if you could fill me in on who's who around here, especially any companions you know are currently free." Davi had several weeks off at the moment and was planning to spend the vast majority of it here at Guilty Pleasures. It had been way too long and the pop star couldn't wait to meet all the new companions. He wasn't much for sticking with one for any long period of time, but switched it up enjoying the variety. Madam Usagi would of course be able to give him all this information, but she didn't seem to be present at the moment, and he was happy to make conversation with the pretty fortune teller.

Lavender Tea was Othello's all time favorite. The tingle that ran through his mouth, and it's perfect mix of bitter and sweet. His long fingers wrapped around the black textured cup with pale blue ceramic filling the inside. He had four chairs set up and four cups beside his pretty tea kettle. It was black much like the cups, with pretty blue ceramic details. They where his prized tea set. He loved this set more then he loved most thing in life. It was given to him by his mother in his coming of age ceremony. He smiled as he placed the cup to his lips once more. Inhaling the beautiful scent he let out an eased purr as he felt the stress in his shoulders slip away. He looked around the backyard the small sounds of screams from the haunted entrance made the boy smile, it meant that everyone has having a good time or at least the spooks they had all worked hard to set up were going to good use. His eyes shined though when he noticed Tel was walking with a Client by the looks of things. A bright glow seeped into Othello's face as he placed the tea down and smiled. He was happy for the boy. He had gotten his first request and he knew the high it gave him. He was still experiencing the high. He smiled as he thought about that.

It was shocking to him that someone was actually interested in him. Othello was never the most popular kid and the fact that someone actually wanted him made him feel honored. Smiling down at his cards he almost forgot about his dilemma with Sonnen. He frowned for a minute his bright eyes seemed to loose their shine for the minute that Sonnen seemed into his mind he lost that sun like quality. He inhaled calming himself his eyes turned upwards as the small sounds of foot steps. He was hoping in his heart that it was Sonnen, when his eyes moved up he was rather surprised but slightly let down. The let down didn't show on his face, he smiled pleased at the man as he heard the greeting. Rising from the table he leaned down into a deep bow his hair draped over his shoulder slightly as he pulled himself back up. He smiled brightly as his eyes scanned the man in the tight cat suite. Looking at the small V in the base of the man's pants and a bright blush washed over his face. He smiled as a dainty laughter slipped from his lips. His hand coming up and covering his mouth slightly, "Hello there Sir. I enjoy your costume it's rather unique!" he exclaimed as he clapped his hands together and grinned brightly. Moving to the other side of the table so he was standing beside the man he leaned back on the table with his hands slightly.

"I will do my best to aid you!" Othello said kindly as he smiled and heard the favors. He thought for a minute and moved behind the table once more. He pulled out a small pad and jotted down the names, Tel, Levant, Aya, and Teishi. He knew him and Sonnen had been requested already. Folding the paper he hand it out to the man before him, "Those are the names of the free companions. I am not sure about Tel though, I must admit. I saw him walking with a younger gentleman a few minuets ago, but I know it's not an official pairing but who knows. I am Othello. It's a pleasure to meet you sir. How about a cup of tea and reading since your here?" He tapped the chair lightly as he sat himself down and poured another cup for himself and a new cup for the man before him. Davi he said his name was? Placing the cup to his lips he took a deep sip as the warm liquid moved down his throat like a snake. He sighed his breath coming out as a gentle puff. He looked towards Davi once more and smiled, "So Mr. Davi what is on your heart today?" he asked as he looked down at the cards and placed them before the man, "if you would shuffle sir we can begin, all that I ask sir though it that you please try and avoid bending my lovely cards." he stated. Now it was time for the real festivities to begin or at least the festivities for Othello to begin. His long red nails tapped against his face as he looked rather mused by the man before him.

Such flamboyance was rare here. The suite was just getting Othello to the core though and it was taking everything in his being to not burst out laughing, brushing some of the black hair from the wig the man leaned back cracking his back slightly. His pale blue eyes seemed to spark as he waited with a bright look on his face for the larger hands then his to shuffle his deck.

[( Sorry it's so short. >< )]

Keita/Ariyoshi
Ariyoshi chuckled softly and looked up at Erik,"Yes, I expected nothing less from the famous Lady Usagi!" He hitched the riding crop to a belt loop as they make it passed most of the cobwebs. He never liked spiders. He wasn't afraid of them per say, but he just couldn't stand the little creatures. His home in Japan had a slight problem spider problem when he was but a toddler and some of his first memories were of him holding his mother as he cried in fright of a large spider that had made it's way into his bedroom... He shook his head to shake away the thoughts. An annoyance... really. He jumped suddenly as it felt like something was crawling up his leg! He batted at it suddenly to find a cobweb hanging from his own riding crop tickling his leg. Embarrassment colored his face a bright pink,"Ah. Ahem. Well then." Ariyoshi growled quietly under his breath. This maze was wearing on his nerves.

And... when they met a dead end he audibly scoffed and rolled his eyes. This was getting tiresome and he yearned to speak with the Lady of the House,"I... am in your capable hands, Sir Erik." He tried to play nice until they got somewhere with other people, but didn't want to embarrass the boy who... was not much older than himself. Ariyoshi tilted his head and looked up at the older boy. His features were soft yet his green eyes seemed to sparkle in even this dim light. Ariyoshi wasn't one to ignore or mar such beauty with hurt feelings so he decided to salvage this awkward situation as best he could. To elevate the mood, he questioned the boy,"So... how old are you? Ya seem... like you might be a bit young to work here." He laughed out loud at his own accidental joke,"Then again, I'm even younger than you, yeah?"

He felt... more at ease here and found he spoke with slang he never thought would pass his lips. Even away from his strict home life at boarding school then university in Great Britain, he was expected to keep a certain level of decorum and wouldn't have ever dreamed of this sort of freedom. Laughing so easily with another person felt right. This... person possibly wasn't so bad when not put on the spot like this. It was also a slight comfort to have ran into someone with a pleasant British accent. He made up his mind. He would put his snarkiness to the side and allow himself to be dazzled by this boy's dazzling smile.

"It's... not always this crazy, is it?" while Ariyoshi was trying to 'rebel' from his family's oppressive rule, he still enjoyed quieter activities. Riding horses was a very relaxing activity... and while fencing was rather physical, it was one of the more subdued fighting styles. Reading, lounging... yep, all quiet. His demeanor relaxed slightly, but he still held Erik's arm as protection from the creatures still lurking in the closing lights of dusk.

**Thiago**Davi**

Davi let his eyes wander over the ornately costumed fortune teller as the other fawned before him. He wondered if the daintiness was true to character or simply in character. Either way it was rather cute. He accepted the short list and scanned it briefly as Othello spoke. "I see your name is not on this list, but of course I should have expected that a companion such as yourself would of course be engaged," Davi complimented the fortune teller. Then he realized that he didn't have a pocket in the tight body suit to put the list in. After a moment's thought he simply slipped it down the top of his boot.

Davi accepted the offered seat and set his whiskey sour to one side of the table as Othello pushed both a cup of tea and a deck of cards towards him. He wasn't much of a tea person, in fact he never drank it, but he sipped at the hot brew politely before setting it aside too. The fortune teller looked beyond pleased to have a customer. That was cute too; too bad he was taken. Well, the companion couldn't have had all the hours of the day booked up, there was chance they would be able to spend more time together later in the week. Davi picked up the cards and began to carefully shuffle them between his fingers.

"I've never had anything like this done before," the pop star admitted as the cards flicked between his fingers. Fact was, his mother abhorred all fortune telling as devil work. Davi never even had a magic eight ball as a kid. His step father didn't seem to care one way or another, but in mother's house it was mother's rules. Even after he left he had never sought out or been presented with the opportunity. "You ready to pop my fortune telling cherry?" he joked badly. "Sorry, no need to respond to that," the ice alien diva went on quickly, "What is on my heart? Well..." he actually had to think about that one for a moment.

Davi hadn't had much of anything on his heart in a long time. No real relationships to speak of had happened in years. Sure, he had the occasional tryst, everyone has to get off sometimes, but he had to be so careful even then. With his status and image to care for there wasn't much motivation or safety to pursue anything deep or permanent. There was plenty on his mind, between appearances and his next album there was plenty of planning and work to be done, but he had come here to forget about all that as much as possible. All he wanted was some relaxation and fun. "How about this, we don't go for anything specific and just let the cards speak what they will, hmm?" Davi proposed as he slid the shuffled deck back to Othello.

(((please don't worry about length! i'm still trying to live up to you guys as it is!)))

**Theodore**Tel**

It became apparent that Ariyoshi was slightly less than amused with the whole spooky maze thing, but it wasn't Tel's fault that the Madame had decided to grow one up overnight and then direct all incoming traffic through it. They continued through the maze at a quicker pace, both eager to get to the real party. Tel didn't exactly stick to the "always turn right" plan because that had the potential to take forever; instead he tried to pay close attention to whether the sounds of the party were getting louder or not. They had to back track a couple times, but he was becoming more and more certain that they were getting closer to the exit.

"I suppose you could call me barely legal," Tel replied with a small twist to his lips. "I'm eighteen." Of course the strip clubs hadn't cared, they would take any willing body it seemed. Plus, since nothing there was ever on paper they needn't really worry about it. He thought it odd that Ariyoshi had mentioned his young age without actually naming it. Tel wondered if he should ask explicitly or not, but that train of thought was derailed by the school boy's next comment. Ok, so this kid was definitely a first timer. Hoo boy. Tel hoped desperately that he wasn't in trouble. Fired in the first week and all that. Nobody explained to me the protocol! His mind defended himself furiously. Whatever, nothing to do about it now. It probably, hopefully, wasn't that big of a deal anyway. "Oh no, this is the most hustle and bustle I've witnessed as of yet," Tel assured the young client. With that statement they rounded a corner that abruptly opened up into the party area.

"And here we are!" Tel announced with relief as they both took in the scene. This portion of the garden seemed to have been tiled to create an even walking surface and dance area. There was a number of tables scattered about and a bar to one side. Pumpkin lanterns hung above creating a soft glow over the area. Waiters circulated with plates of h'ordourves. Tel scanned the crowd for anyone he recognized among the guests milling about. He turned to Ariyoshi, "I must amend my previous comment with a confession, I've only been here barely a week. Unfortunately that means that I lack the required familiarity to introduce you around properly." He looked around once more. "I see our fortune telling companion is set up over there," he motioned with the cane towards the table, "though I couldn't tell you his name and he seems to be currently occupied by a sparkly blue person. I can say that he's the real deal however. I do not see Madame Usagi, though I'm sure she will be among us tonight, and...." Tel cast about some more, desperate for a familiar face. "I believe that vampire over there might be Sonnen. He's a very talented musician, but I think he only really speaks Russian."

Ugh, this was fairly lame. "I also know Aya and Levant, but I don't see them at the moment. If they're not here now, I'm sure they will be shortly. Sorry I don't have anything more to offer you right now," the contortionist finished up. He watched Ariyoshi's face closely looking for disappointment. The Madam will kill me if this kid leaves because I didn't make a good enough impression! "Would you like for me to introduce you to someone or would you prefer to mingle on your own?" Tel asked hesitantly.

Keita/Ariyoshi
Erik strayed from his original path, but it seemed to work well as the sounds of other people moving about grew with each step. He kept a close eye on Erik's face in hopes that his moment of brattiness didn't affect the boy's opinion of him too badly. Seeking approval from complete strangers? Oh you're SUCH a rebel Ariyoshi berated himself in his mind, but he really did want to make a good impression on Erik. Any conversation or action may be relayed back to the Madam, and he didn't want his chances of becoming a regular at this home compromised in anyway. A slight smirk grew across Ariyoshi's lips as Tel told him his age, "Barely legal? I suppose I'm not as familiar with this country's 'Age of Consent' as I thought... where I'm from it's 13. Me, being 16, makes me well over the 'Legal Age' in my home country of Japan." He wondered if he should share his origins, but decided since he very much looked Japanese his origin would be obvious and therefore a safe topic. "Though my country has always been... a bit controversial when it comes to sexuality and maturity," he'd damn well hope that was true anyway with the way his parents stuffed a briefcase in his hand from BIRTH. He was glad though that they at least waited till he turned 16 to talk to him about this arranged marriage bullshit so he'd be able to run off to a place like Guilty Pleasures and be admitted in--at least on the trial level-- without much fuss.

As they rounded the last corner Ariyoshi stopped in his tracks. He'd never been to an actual Halloween celebration before, and truly, this one would set his standard from that day forward. His small hand covered his mouth, and his eyes widened in surprise as he took in the amazing display. A child's playground for adults? he thought as he watched the party unfold before him. Something like this seemed like a perfect setting for children... he concluded that all that came to Guilty Pleasures had a bit of childishness in them all. This... home provided the world with the most valuable playdates he'd ever heard of to amuse the rich and famous so the thought made sense really. The soft lighting provided by the multitude of Jack-o-lanterns and candles really set off the beauty of all the people in the foray. Even Erik's subtle beauty became more apparent as they made their way further onto the grounds. "Sir Erik, I must say, this was truly worth traversing that maze. I'm glad to have you as my escort to this party," Ariyoshi wouldn't call Erik his companion since there were still more to see, but he was glad to have him as a guide to this event.

Erik's confession was a bit of a shock but Ariyoshi shook his head,"Although the old adage about The Blind leading the Blind comes to mind, I must admit, it is a refreshing idea to have someone as new as you are to this family escort someone as new as myself," Ariyoshi felt ashamed of his earlier behavior. Judging poor Erik on the assumption that he'd been here for far longer was a mistake and he aimed to ease the older boy's troubled face, "You've done a splendid job so far. Please, do not let my poor form deter you." Ariyoshi released the older boy's arm and stepped away, giving a deep bow to him to express his shame. While he normally hated that this sort of behavior was ingrained in him, he couldn't help but feel it could only help in this situation to be more gracious to his hosts. He was in their home after all and when you're in another's home, you treat them with respect.

He listened carefully with a candid smile as Erik shared the other companions names. "Ah... Sir Erik... if you don't mind... I'd like to know your name as well." Ariyoshi placed a hand over his heart and gave a slight bow, "Forgive if my assumption is wrong, but isn't 'Erik' the name of the Phantom you're so cleverly dressed as? I would have your name to speak highly of your guidance when I finally get to speak with Madam Usagi." Ariyoshi knew the power of a good recommendation and as repayment for his help, this fair-headed companion would get a glowing one from him. "Until that time..." he linked arms with Erik again and smiled brightly, "I would ask that you continue being my escort."

As they walked onto the grounds Ariyoshi scanned the companions Erik pointed out. The extremely elaborately dressed fortuneteller was clearly Japanese. Those robes weren't a costume but attire for some ceremony or another. He wasn't too familiar with that sort of thing. His family was quite modern and, other than this idiotic need for an "arranged marriage", raised him as such. He knew a great deal about the history of his country, but didn't really take great care to keep up with traditional dress-codes. Ariyoshi was curious about this unnamed companion, but as the man--Surely it's a man? Yes... he'd have to be if he worked here... though that outfit makes me wonder. A crossdresser? This home must take all types to meet the demands of the client--was occupied with another guest, his curiosity would have to wait to be sated at a later time. Ariyoshi's eyes landed on the vampire,"Russian only? Nonsense. He'd be such a niche companion that he'd never get work." While Ariyoshi was slightly speaking out of his a**, he did have a point. If the man only spoke Russian, then he could only be paired with people who spoke Russian,"I guess a translator could accompany him on each coupling, but that would seem rather invasive, don't you think?"

He shrugged and gave a small smile,"Shall we meet and greet the companions and your housemates together?" This would be a perfect opportunity for Ariyoshi to learn of the other companions and give Erik a chance to actually meet his roommates. He hypothesized the process of becoming a new companion must be a strenuous one if this boy didn't have a chance to learn all the names of his... well, coworkers.

Solera

They'd taken the hunter green BMW this time. Since it was a Halloween picnic, Dimitri figued there'd be a lot of people. Even though he was sure the Madam had ample parking space, he didn't want to go through the trouble of picking out one limo from the next. Though his was armored and had a tracking device, he simply didn't want to need that tracking device. Technology was still a pain, no matter how strangely talented he was with electronics. Speaking of electronics, the dark haired man glared at the little blue flame in the palm of his hand. Yes, flame. And yes, dark hair. He took the liberty of getting his hair, eyebrows, and lashes dyed a very specific blend of black and midnight blue for the sake of his costume. The end result created a ghastly contrast with his all too pale skin. Golden eyes lit up as the flame grew to the size of a baseball. His other hand hovered over it, letting his gloved fingertips soak in the warmth of the artificial fire. The illusion looked so real, he'd nearly hestitated even when he knew how it all worked. Smoothly, the man settled the blue ember on the table. The thing continued to burn happily without so much as a scorch mark on the orange and black cloth. Dimitri idly produced another one in his other hand. Very gently, it too was soon on the table. While tapping out a steady beat using one of the many pumpkin lollipops from the cute little jack-o-lantern centerpieces the flames begin to waltz. Round and round they went, making little twirls here and there, meeting together and parting. As the dance went on, the flames burned brighter. Until Gervas spoke.

"Mas -- uh, Dimitri," the iron clad man spoke, "If you'd like to dance, I would gladly have the honor of being your first partner of the evening." The gentleman's grey eyes had the audacity to appear amused. If it weren't for his Master's earlier promise to 'behave as any normal human being would at a Halloween party,' he would have never dared ask. Nevermind having the guts to find the adorable light show endearing.

With a scoff, the flames vanished. "I wouldn't like to dance," Dimitri replied sourly at the heavy black mace in his butler's hand. He turned his attention to Teddy the driver, who happened to be dressed as an lancer. The black lance itself was leaned carefully against a nearby oak. A sheet ghost guarded the weapon from any possible thieves. Not that anyone would even humor the notion with all of the mansion's fairy and kitten guardsmen lurking about. "You and Teddy should dance. I really don't understand why you two have been avoiding each other. I'd ask if something happened, but I don't think I want to know." He eyed them both, then smiled wryly as an idea came to him.

Almost forcing the words out, he spoke again. "I think... you two should go off and make up. Do whatever you wish until I call you. For starters, why don't you guys go wander the hedge maze for all the scary holograms?" The man was far from sure if this was a good idea. But having the help -- okay, he didn't know what else to call them other than 'servants' -- around only made him more uncomfortable with the whole Halloween and 'change' idea.

Exchanging surprised glances for the first time in five days, Gervas and Teddy rose in their very light armor. The driver moved to retrieve his lance. Nervously, the axeman picked up his master's small shield. "Sire," that sure was fun to say. Sire. Better than sir or master even. Since it was virtually a combination of the two. Or it meant father, which was clearly not the case here. "I--" he stopped himself before saying the stupid thought that popped into his mind. Hope you'll be okay sitting here by yourself? he'd thought before saying it aloud. Thank God for a brain. Or he would have risked the possibility if an ornate sword whizzing by his head. Funny how Dimitri carried swords around as if it was the most natural thing in the world, when he was still deathly afraid of handling a knife. Unless it was to cook.

At a loss for words, he traced a gloved finger along the Kieva family insignia. From the bright red poppy, over the silver kite shield to the little cross on the opposite end did his agitated fingers dance. They finally came to rest on the point where he was sure the golden arrow and blue broadsword crossed, the middle of the shield. All the while, Gervas was sure Dimitri was so very anxious to toss something at him just to see if he'd react. "I wish you good luck on your quest," he finally said as Teddy walked straight pass him. The younger man was already heading towards the maze as ordered, with what looked like another boy's love book in his free hand. Executing a swift bow, he moved to follow his co-worker. A moody expression darkened his handsome features as he quickly caught up.

Well, what to do now? He was alone. Left with only small blue flames to play with and a bunch of Halloween candy. Before he could at least have some half-assed conversation. Surely, he wasn't already regretting his hasty decision? With a grumpy frown he scanned the crowd. Time to socialize. ******** fantastic. People were probably wondering what he was other than a magician all this time. He was what he'd imagined to be the wonderful Sir Mordred of King Arthur's court. Arthur's nephew and possible son. The man who killed the beloved king who was too weak to break his cheating queen's heart. To cast her aside. Too weak with love. At least, that was how Dimitri saw it.

Other than being a mage of sorts, he was also a superb knight. One strong enough to best the legendary king in a one on one fight. Or had Arthur been frought with love for his son/nephew? Couldn't stab his own blood to death? When all of it was his fault? So Dimitri basically came as a father hating/loving wizard/knight who ended up commiting patricide only to die on the same battlefield. A snake in man's clothing. It was something he was entirely too comfortable in. But hey, the costume was kind of fun. People had trouble recognizing him in all the black. From the shiny black knee high boots with golden buckles, black tights, black undershirt with black tunic embroidered with gold thread, black high tech gloves with gold wrist bands, and heavy black cloak. Well, black cloak with a subtle dirt lining at the bottom. To match the blue flames that sprouted so easily from his hands, there sat a diamond cut sapphire on his small golden crown. So intricately woven it was, that it must have taken nearly a year to perfect. The sword at his side was as dull as a butter knife's blade. It too held a sapphire, smaller and a cabochon instead of diamond cut.

Popping a skull shaped chocolate in his mouth, he continued surveying the small crowd. Most of them seemed too stuck up to be any fun. Yes, Dimitri intended to have fun on Halloween! So long as he could let go of these memories, he was sure he could somehow enjoy himself without bringing destruction to the 'picnic.'

Curious golden eyes landed on a sparkly space clown and the feudal era princess that man was speaking to. Fortune telling. Bah. A time passing hobby for the romantic and foolish. That was all. Then lazily, they traveled to what looked like a lost high school student and a masked villain. Phantom of the Opera and underaged school boy/girl. What a strange pairing. Oh hey! A James Bond mixing drinks. The man was doing the whole eyebrow thing well along with pulling off the smooth air of an 'undercover' spy well. The very act nearly caused Dimitri to give in to his intoxicating needs. Alas, he could not. He'd promise himself earlier to try to think of this all as a Halloween when he was still an innocent. Things were supposed to be exciting like that convoluted maze and all this candy everywhere. Speaking of candy, the dark haired man popped another chocolate in his mouth. Mmm nuts. Pecans. Awesome. Then he noticed what looked like a crazy man trying to scare the guests with a show of pointy teeth. Sharp teeth! How very frightening! Maybe for a dentist. As a kid did he ever find this sort of thing scary? Oddly enough no. The monsters never struck fear in his heart. Never made his knees weak like jelly. People always did. He would have been curious enough to ask what a teeth cleaning cost for a vampire rather than cower away in fright. Damnit, maybe he should get a shot of white rum. Hell, a bottle! Was that allowed?

As he made to get up, he found his legs would simply not move. Well, ******** them. He glared childishly in frustration at the steel covered toes of his boots. A huge part of him had long ago decided to keep to his wretched promises. Even ones as ridiculous as not getting drunk on Halloween. An annual ritual since he figured out how to smuggle liquor into his room. About thirteen years old? ...Fourteen? Whatever, he couldn't be bothered to remember.

Now the ultimate question was, what in the world to do other than socialize? He couldn't just go up to a random man/woman/boy/girl to say 'hello' could he? His stomach filled with butterflies at the thought. God, to think he'd been so shy all those years ago. Or maybe it was thinking about it that made those accursed flighty things to appear in his gut. To make matters worse, it occurred to him that he was the only one truly alone at the entire gathering. Going up to groups was definitely not his forte.

Instead of facing his social demons, the man continued to devour delicious chocolates as miniature flames began filling the space before him. They were about an inch high and half an inch wide. He was sure his gloves could do other things. Just didn't feel like exploring them yet when fire was so goddamned entertaining! With one hand over his chest, he made them hop to the rhythm of his heartbeat, spinning around one another in a merry dance. It'd be more interesting with people, he had to admit. But then Dimitri would have to deal with them. Something he shouldn't be thinking to begin with considering his promise, but... how the hell would he begin a dance without proper music anyway? Maybe whenever the Madam chose to make her appearance, the true festivities would begin. Ooh, a white chocolate ghostie. With Macadamia nuts! She sure has good taste in candy!

~ていし Teishi~ Dustry Chevalier

Dustry rounded the corner, following the pair down the many corridors. When they back-tracked, the younger boy completely hid himself behind a pillar or around a corner so that he wouldn't be spotted. But that was ridiculous. Why would they care if someone were following them? He was just another companion going to the party, right?

When the person who seemed like a client and the very obvious companion stopped by the edge of the party, Dustry dashed back in the direction that he had come, going back up to his room. He passed by another boy in the front, but he knew that somebody else would probably go and get him. It wouldn't be very professional of him, a person who only appeared about a few hours ago, to go and introduce himself as a companion who knew much about this mansion. He hoped somebody would go and get to the other boy soon. Otherwise, he may leave and then the mansion would be short one client that they should have had.

After throwing on Vampire Hunter outfit, Dustry felt like he was ready to go back out. His red contacts made his pupils pop more than his usual blue, but that was part of the whole effect, right? That's what Dustry decided as he walked back down the stairs, disappearing back into the maze and reappearing back where the party was. The black haired boy was surprised at first to see that everything was almost exactly the same. All the same people in almost the same places. Had he really taken that short time? Dustry pushed the thought back, sighed, and walked in. Time to make some friends... or enemies.

Braedin • Heresy

Okay. So maybe he hadn’t had the right idea. Underestimating the Madam was never a good idea, he soon decided. Of course it wasn’t out of disrespect or rebellion. No, he just simply didn’t believe that the Madam would actually provide a costume if one wasn’t worn. Hahaha, that sure was funny how she mentioned having bunny ears and fairy wings, right? Yeah, yeah it wasn’t so funny when you were the one forced to wear it. You didn’t argue with the Madam. Only now he looked like a complete tool. Well, at least he was given a choice: fairy wings or bunny ears and tail. Of course he wasn’t going to be some faggy fairy, so Braedin had settled for being a bunny. He sighed. He was never going to live this one down. Ever. Oi vey.

It was okay. It would be all right. Who cared if someone saw him and laughed? They were just jealous. Right, jealous. Jealous as hell. Of his fluffy tail and… awesome ears and… free spirit. Yeah. Screw them. It wasn’t like he was hiding in the bathroom or anything. Hah, of course not. He was just perfecting his look. ‘How should I rock this?’ he’d ask himself over and over again. Well, he could go playboy bunny, or maybe tuxedo bunny (if he borrowed a servant’s uniform), or perhaps Bugs bunny. No, definitely playboy bunny. With that thought, the tall man pulled his fishnet shirt over his head and balled it up, tossing it in a corner of the bathroom. Better. But the jacket was… no. As much as he loved his trench coat, it would have to sit this one out, too. He slid it off his shoulders and sent it to join his shirt in the corner. Better once more. Better times a million, actually. ‘I actually look kinda hot like this,’ he mused, looking at himself from the back. All his tattoos were visible, his not-usually-visible n****e rings, not to mention his bangin’ bod, as he liked to call it. Alright, so he was a bit self-absorbed. ‘But anyone who looked like me would be, right?’

He sort of wished this bunny costume came in a color other than baby pink, but it would be all right. It went with the purple streak in his hair. His pants were a mess of belts and chains and baggy glory, all black and sitting so low on his hips that any lower and you’d see some fuzz. Hm. No shoes, either, he decided as he kicked them off into the Corner of Awesome. He had on a few jewelry pieces that day, like his bullet shell belt, studded wrist band, and spiked collar. It added to the feel of his new ‘costume.’ His confidence was slowly starting to seep back in and he started to appreciate his costume change. Yeah. Yeah, he could definitely work this. Now to get to the party.

Only problem he kind sort of really didn’t want to see Levant. But he sort of worked here, so it was inevitable. Suddenly he felt very embarrassed by the way he was dressed. Levant would probably think he looked like a damn fool, but… ‘Oh, who cares?’ he thought, trying to build his confidence back up. He’s just a dude. Braedin had never had problems impressing a dude before, so what did it matter if Levant thought he looked dumb? He probably looked even dumber than Braedin. Yeah. Except that his mind tricks were totally not working and he was still super scared of running into him. Ever since that unfortunate ah… run-in with the man, Braedin had been permanently in heat. Before it was when he thought about those hallway kisses he’d witnessed between Sonnen and Othello, but now it happened whenever he got too enthusiastic about thinking of the Canadian Companion. He was in his dreams, creeped into his mind when he was in the shower, out and about, when he was exercising. It didn’t seem to matter where he was or what he was doing, but every time he thought about Levant, his mind would turn it into some lewd pornography scene, to which Braedin would have to immediately excuse himself to the bathroom. It was getting a bit ridiculous and troublesome. Hence his apprehension in coming this evening. No, not coming, ‘arriving’ this evening! Keep it clean, damn mind!

With ‘keep it clean’ in mind, Braedin bravely entered the main lobby of the mansion, whereupon he heard “For Guilty Pleasures and Usagi!” followed by laughing. …What? Oh! Spartans! Hell yeah! He couldn’t tell who they were per se, because some of them had the Sparta helmets, but he recognized the characters straight away of course. Also, being a little self-conscious still about his costume, he tried not to spend too much time studying them and perhaps being recognized. As they were cheering, Braedin continued to the front door swiftly, but pumped his fist at them once, letting out a growly “Yeaaaah!” at them. Hopefully he’d see them around the picnic. They seemed like pretty cool people. With that thought, the Client continued through the front door and into the little maze. Ooooh, this would be fun. It had been a long time since he’d been through one of these. He was supposed to have an escort, he supposed, but was perfectly happy with just himself. Getting lost and finding one’s way was the best part, right? The occasional spooks weren’t enough to make him jump, but he did giggle at them and growl back gamely. He knew some of them were mansion servants assigned to scare and chase people, so he had no problem playing with them. Their goal was to make people scream in fear, but he was no sissy.

All right, that took like fifteen minutes since he kept getting lost, but that was okay! When the picnic scene came into view, Braedin was in shock and awe. He loved mansion parties. The Madam never did anything halfway. Being a regular customer, Braedin recognized everyone immediately. There was Othello doing his cute fortune telling thing, and Sonnen prowling about in the background smirking and glaring at people. Really, that was almost like cheating; you were supposed to portray someone else when you dressed up. Sonnen acted like this most of the time anyway. Cheater. Aside from that, most people around there were new to him. Ooh, the Phantom! And he was portrayed by a tiny boy, which somehow made it better. Not only that, but he was with another tiny boy. The tinyness was the best part. He had the urge to run over and squeeze the life out of both of them, but that wouldn’t be cool. But you know what would be cool? A drink.

“Double-oh-seven, my man!” Braedin greeted the bartender, who looked a little surprised but pleased at being addressed. “Think you could make me a martini — shaken, not stirred?” he asked with a winning grin. The bartender, he could tell, was apprehensive. He knew Heresy wasn’t of age, but he was a Client. Feeling the man’s nervousness, Braedin slipped a ten across the counter to him with a knowing glint in his eye. Bond took with a nod, slipped it into his jacket pocket, and proceeded to mix his martini. It was nice to be him sometimes. Though he did wonder where the Madam had run off to…

**Theodore**Tel**

Sixteen and Japanese. And holy crap the Japanese were liberal about youth rights. Tel wondered at what age a child was no longer legally beholden to his parents in that country. And sixteen wasn't so bad he supposed. Actually he couldn't think of anything bad about the age, but it somehow still seemed young for the setting. Given that Japan's age of consent was thirteen however, Ariyoshi likely didn't think himself young at all. He had used the word earlier, but probably only because he was conscious that Japan was different from the country he was currently in.

Ariyoshi certainly perked up once they reached the party proper. The compliments were gratifying and appreciated and Tel relaxed once more. "Not at all, Ariyoshi," the marksman returned the client's apology with an acknowledging bow of his own. Ooo, Ariyoshi recognized the source of his name! "You're absolutely right sir!" Tel confirmed with pleasure. "But as you requested, here I am called Tel." As the youth slipped his arm once more through the companion's own, he nodded his head, "It would be my honor to do what I can to acquaint you with my new home."

As they pressed forward into the crowd Tel's chest tightened as he realized that was the first time he had said those words aloud. Even more, it was the first time he had really felt as if those words were true since his parents died. After their passing the house in Blackpool was no longer a home, and the tiny apartment he had rented while striping was merely a place to sleep and eat if he remembered to do so. In fact, he could swear he had put on a couple pounds in his first week here. He wasn't most familiar with the kitchen staff for no reason. A few of the cooks had apparently made it their mission to fatten him up somewhat. He didn't tell them that the effort would end up futile, his body simply didn't gain like others, it was his genes and metabolism or something. But he had filled out slightly in that his ribs no longer poked out as much and he looked healthier overall. At least no one would take him for an anorexic anymore.

The crowd kept filling out as they wandered. A half naked bunny was hitting up the bar, a magician with these nifty blue flames dancing around him was popping candy like it was uppers, and a small vampire slayer had just come in through the maze. Speaking of vampires... "No, you're absolutely right, it doesn't make sense that Sonnen doesn't speak English. But the fact is he didn't when we met," Tel mused aloud to Ariyoshi. Interesting choice of words that, "coupling." Rather intimate. His head swiveled around as he looked for the musical companion once more. Ah, there he was, lurking at the edge of the tile. "What say we go say 'ello?" the marksman decided abruptly and steered the pair through the crowd until they were standing in front of the vampire.

Tel's lips were pressed tightly together in a thin line as he looked up at Sonnen. It had never felt right, the lack of English on the other's part, but he hadn't given it thought since his performance. That left the question of why Sonnen spoke that way to him. Deception had never sat well with Tel; his own flat affect wasn't to deceive, it was merely his reserved nature intensified by his loss. "'Ello Sonnen," he greeted the musician. "Allow me to introduce a new client, Ariyoshi," the contortionist said simply as he stepped aside slightly to present the boy in the school uniform. "Also, please allow me to apologize for not having properly thanked you yet for your beautiful piano performance the other day. I truly appreciate your skill, and that you accompanied me."

Estatic was a better word to describe how the boy was feeling. All this new attention was something new for him, of course he had people adoring him but this was something new. He loved being noticed for his skills instead of what his family name was. Hearing the compliments though he blushed sheepishly and turned his rather stunning blue eyes to the side as he pursed his lips in a rather cute bashful look. His long back hair hung in his face as he reached up and timidly placed the strands behind his cute little pointed ears. He smiled softly as he looked up and nodded his head, "That client is actually my first. I would be honored if you would be my second." Othello stated as he reached out and placed his smooth little hands on the slightly larger ones of Davi. He gave him a sweet smile as he pulled back once more giving the man the space he required.

The smell of the whiskey Othello did have to admit gave him a slightly dizzy feeling in his head. He was never a drinker, and he probably never would be. Things like whiskey and basically any form of liquor ended badly for the little Fortune teller. He watched as the cards were moved back in his general direction and nodded his head as he watched the man ponder the question that he had presented. It was normal for the man to ask such a question, usually it defined what spread the man used. If there was love on the person's heart he used the Love Tarot if there Money and Wealth was a question he used his Lucky Tarot. It seemed though this man had no particular drive towards any side. Closing his eyes the aura once more darkened and the air about Othello's face grew more deeper and his posture changed rather drastically. This was the other Othello, this third eyes was open and all the auras and emotions made the man sick to his stomach for a minute. Fear, Enjoyment, Pleasure, everything lingered there. Channeling it towards the man before him he looked around him. The main worry he was receiving was his future career plans, and just wanting to have fun. The longing for fun almost masked the small hint of worry but Othello was trained enough to notice even the slightest change in emotion.

Looking down at the deck, Othello spread the cards out in a rather distinct Horseshoes Shape. He was doing the Work Horoscope seeing as the lingering question in the man's mind was how he as going to do in his next progression. Of course, with the charisma that was coming from the rather flamboyant man before him, told Othello that he was probably involved in something in the preforming arts. His fingers placed the cards down like magic, barely touching them and yet they rested so perfectly before him. He looked up at the man his eyes narrowed slightly as he tried to find anything else that could influence his tarot reading. "Are you by any chance sir a performer?" the dark and deep voice of the third eye spoke through the Asian's pretty painted lips like caramel. He smiled softly, it wasn't like the normal Othello smile though. It was more mysterious and dark then his bright and chipper look that normally glowed off his face. Reaching out he flipped the first card. His eyes flashed for about a second as he read the meaning behind the card.

"Card one, Past influences upon your work dilemma. You were seduced and fell in love with a women or a gentleman who worked as your inspiration for your work. She or He was always filled with bright ideals and worked well with you, but something happened causing that bond to break." he stated as he looked up his eyes never leaving Davi's as his hand flew over the second card. "Card Two, Present Situation. The Temptress. This is the card of balance and calm nature. Your going through a period of comfort. This is fantastic when your involved in creative work. Your able to control the situation and move forwards with much success." he stated. This was probably his favorite spread when it really came down to things. It was short but insightful at the same time.

Looking up at Davi the boy smiled as he tilted his head slightly, "Shall I continue? Or are you not following?" Othello liked to check up after the first two cards or so, just in case his client wasn't following his reading or had any questions for him. His dark aura remained lingering in the air as he tilted his head his fingers crossed in front of his figure as his head cocked itself to the left just slightly showing his still remaining childish side even in his dark mysterious persona.

Keita/Ariyoshi

It seemed as though Erick was meditating for a moment on the Client's words on legality of sexuality in their current region and Ariyoshi's own. With good reason. Any person at his age was a bit of an oddity at a place like this which was REALLY saying something. He wondered if the Madam hired on any others He grinned softly but kept the thought to himself. But the Companion's face brightened once he was granted those well-placed compliments. Perfect. I knew that would do the trick. He wouldn't have his first impression on the people at this home be one of sad or worried faces.

"Ahh, Tel. Interesting choice," a bemused smile played across his lips, "I don't suppose I could know the origin of your name... or I suppose I'd had to find your tell on my own?" He hoped that joke wasn't... TOO corny, but it was a legitimate wonder for Ariyoshi. He was always one to want to know everything about everyone around him to... either use as leverage or just for curiosity's sake. With a slight wink he followed Tel into the crowd. After accepting Ariyoshi's request for a guide Tel seemed... is he glowing? He seems completely different now. He couldn't realize how big a step this was for Tel. It wasn't really something Ariyoshi thought about, he was just glad to see the older boy's smile again.

Ariyoshi wondered at all the costumed people that seemed to come out of the woods surrounding the mansion. Who ARE these interesting characters? It was a bit of a shock seeing so many pop out of no where. There was a hunter of some sort? that came out of the maze not long after he and Tel made their appearance. He wasn't sure... but he thought the boy half-Japanese. Tch, if I felt like being disowned by my father I would pick him as my Companion. He was quite willing to go against the wishes of his family, he would never outright destroy the bond completely. His father's OBSESSION with 'pure blood' was something Ariyoshi found strange, but it was something he would not test.

A half-naked bunny man followed close behind which made Ariyoshi nearly laugh out loud. He covered his mouth politely as the man bounded pass towards the 007 bartender. Client or Companion... seems a bit too unrefined for Companion... but a Client? Seems too unrefined for THAT as well. He smiled as he saw the magician dancing with flames. Magic always intrigued him. The idea that a person was just out to trick an entire audience for the sake of entertainment was interesting to him... well, more that people PAID said person to trick their senses. He wondered if this person was the same.

As they walked, Tel continued their conversation about the Russian Companion. Ahhh, Vindication. I knew there was no way the man only spoke one language. Ariyoshi himself spoke four fluently, Japanese, English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Korean, with a slathering of French and in this business he imagined the more they knew the better. "I'm glad you agree, and I'd very much like to go with you for a nice 'Hello.'" His wicked grin reappeared for the first time in the night at the thought of confronting someone on very clever avoidance tactics. Not speaking English... really! This man is very interesting. Why would he do that? Getting in the middle of a bit of drama was always fun for Ariyoshi... especially when he's just a spectator.

Ariyoshi gave a deep bow when Tel introduced him to Sonnen, "Good evening, Sir Sonnen. It is a great honor to meet more of the Companions of this most wondrous household!"

**Thiago**Davi**

Othello was such a doll! Davi grinned happily as the fortune teller's hand briefly embraced his own. He was just leaning forward to reach out and tuck a loose strand of hair behind Othello's ear when the companion's demeanor changed in a blink. Davi sat back again very suddenly, surprised and confused by the abruptness of the switch. One moment a sweet young man with bright happy eyes sat before him and in the next moment that person was gone. The body was the same, but that was it. A serious expression and intense eyes now faced him across the table. The Othello he had known however briefly was gone, replaced by something that seemed far older.

Davi almost rubbed his eyes to try and fix what he was seeing but remembered not to mess up his makeup. This was so weird! It was obviously Othello sitting before him, but somehow it wasn't at the same time. The effect was so strange it almost instantly reminded him of the one time he had tried psychedelic mushrooms when he was sixteen. He had eaten the things and been sitting there waiting for something to happen when suddenly the world was no longer the one he was familiar with. It was the most disorienting feeling he had ever experienced, to look around the room and see that everything was exactly the same as it had always been, but to feel in the depths of his mind and soul that he was now on an alien planet.

To see it happen for real right before his eyes was both scary and fascinating. Davi wanted to scoot the chair back another six inches while at the same time he wanted to reach out and poke Othello's cheek just to see what would happen. Then the fortune teller spoke and the pop star nearly died. He jerked in his chair as he heard the words issued in a voice that Othello shouldn't even be able to fake. He managed a nod as frantic thoughts ran through his mind. Mother was right, this is the devil's work! No, don't be stupid you don't even believe in the devil. But as the fortune teller started flipping cards he found himself leaning in to see what was lying on the table. Davi glanced up as Othello continued to speak in another person's voice and found the fortune teller's gaze locked on him like a heat seeking missile.

Card one had to be talking about Alice, sweet Alice. God, he hadn't thought about her for more than a minute or two in years. They had been best friends growing up and had loved each other deeply, but come high school Alice's feelings had changed for him into something he couldn't reciprocate. Not the way she wanted at least. Their friendship had continued for the first couple of years after he had broken into the industry, and she had been a great support in keeping him focused and clean in a world of debauchery, but being around the man who couldn't love her the way she loved him had finally worn her down. They hadn't broken up in the way that people understood the phrase, and they would always love and care for each other, but she had to look out for her own happiness and therefor had stepped out of his life. Davi had learned some time ago that Alice had married and had a couple of kids; he truly hoped she was the happiest woman in the world. Alice had made him the pop star he was today in the sense that he might have done something stupid while caught up in the whirlwind of the pop industry and quickly fallen by the wayside as another failed idiot singer instead of being the clean household name with the world wide fan base that he was. Besides being surrounded by bad influences, there was always the pressure to sex it up and be more extreme in his songs and shows. Davi's mother had raised a good boy, but her wishes might have been ignored if it hadn't been for Alice keeping his nose clean.

Othello was spot on with card two also. Davi had noticed before that after a good couple of weeks of relaxing and recharging at Guilty Pleasures he always hit the studio or the circuit harder and at peak performance. It always worked so well that his manager no longer badgered him about writing off his payments to Usagi as a business expense. Accountants were a trip; even if you had all the money in the world they still didn't want any of it spent frivolously. At least, they did if you had a good accountant who wasn't robbing you blind. Davi smiled as Othello returned slightly to ask if he should go on, "Please continue!" He could barely even begin to reflect on what he had witnessed and heard so far, but this was amazing!

~ていし Teishi~ Dustry Chevalier

When the black haired boy turned slightly in the direction of the bar, he noticed a young school boy glancing over at him. A child in a school uniform? Was he even age appropriate? Dustry laughed at himself as he began walking over to the small group talking to a Russian companion. Hello, Dustry himself was 15. He was probably the most illegal boy there. Time to make an impression.

"Excuse me, Tel was it?" Dustry began, speaking quietly as he stepped next to the young client. "Do you mind if I borrow your friend for a second? I won't steal him." Red eyes turned on the phantom. He was probably going to say no. Why shouldn't he? This person that Dustry could only guess was Tel from whatever he eavesdropped from other groups wouldn't possibly give up such an opportunity such as this to become acquainted with a boy that could possibly become his client, would he? He hoped that the older boy wouldn't start a fight or something. Was it even allowed?

But about a hundred million questions were running through Dustry's mind, yet he could only truly grasp a few of them. What was he going to do if Tel said no? Possibly smile, apologize, and walk away. What would he do if he said yes? Take the client somewhere else, and then what? Talk? Sell himself? Blow smoke? Hopefully he could do all three, but he highly doubted that someone such as himself would be much to want. A pure Japanese boy of French upbringing wouldn't possibly be very spectacular, especially since his talent was only mediocre as Kane put it. By the way, where was that also pretty young dancer? He had heard a rumor that he had left the mansion, but he didn't honestly believe it.

Sonnen • Voltaire

As more and more people started pouring in, Sonnen felt less and less stupid about his costume. Seeing as there was a naked bunny, a magician thing, and a little boy in a school uniform… well, needless to say, he wasn’t so self-conscious. Somehow it took the burn off having a not-exactly-perfect costume. No one had approached him as of yet, which was mostly the point of being a wandering actor. People acknowledged your presence but didn’t really talk to you. This was something Sonnen was comfortable with. No confrontation. Peace. And some of the patrons seemed a little wary of him, which was good, too. Doing this job, after all.

Oh crap. The naked bunny was Heresy. Of course it was. He should have expected that kick to the nuts. Of course that idiot would come as a naked bunny. Really, have he no taste? This was a classy party, not a strip joint. Sonnen had half a mind to— oh, good lord. And now he was getting into the booze. This was a recipe for disaster. He was sure Heresy could hold his alcohol well as he’d probably had plenty of practice, but he was not going to have him bumbling around like a tipsy douche bag. Just as Sonnen was ready to go over and forcibly remove the drink from his hand and him from the party, he hard a dainty English accent. An accent he… wasn’t quite used to around the Mansion as of yet.

Sonnen turned around with apprehension, expecting some kind of dumb conversation or small talk of some sort, but Tel wasn’t alone. It was the little Asian boy in the school uniform. Or at least, something resembling a school uniform. It was a little skanky, actually, for such a young boy. Sonnen’s age weighed him down slightly at the sight of the two. Although he couldn’t deny that the two as a pair was kind of semi-adorable. Sonnen didn’t have those kinds of thoughts often, but it was undeniable. But still. What the hell did they want? Couldn’t they see he was brooding here? Ah, the Asian boy was a new Client. Well, perhaps this could be forgiven. Good form on Tel’s part, introducing a newcomer, even though most people would tell the boy that Sonnen was probably the last person you wanted to introduce a new Client to. But oh well. Sonnen’s face transformed from slightly surprised to an almost sultry smirk. Still in character, after all.

“Ariyoshi,” he pronounced. The name felt odd on his lips. Even his Alias sounded Asian, though that was to be expected. And he appeared to be a traditional one, too, if the bow was anything to go by. Some Asian custom, he was sure. Well, you didn’t bow in Russia. Generally, between new people, there was a bone-crushing handshake and an appropriate greeting for the time of day. Women kissed each other’s cheeks. Well, Sonnen didn’t usually do any of that anymore. As a Companion, he was taught just one thing, regardless of gender, and took joy in the surprise on most people’s faces. But, well, customs were customs. Sonnen took the boy’s left hand and pressed a kiss to the back before letting it drop. “Dobro pozhalovat',” he intoned silkily, his ever-present smirk showing his fangs proudly. He could have just said ‘Welcome to Guilty Pleasures,’ but he was sure Ariyoshi had heard that five thousand times already. But he probably didn’t know Russian, and might appreciate a bit of a translation. “And velcome to Guilty Pleasures.” There, that oughta do it. Just the right amount of old accent to add a little more spice to it.

But Tel was still talking. Oh, yes, his piano performance that the boy had danced to. And the knives; couldn’t forget the knives. He nodded to Tel shortly to acknowledge the thanks. “It vas my pleasure,” he replied politely. Alright, so it sounded more like ‘Eet vas my pleeshure,’ but he was still trying to keep up his façade/costume/whatever. Nothing got someone interested like a few rolled R’s. The piano performance had been spur-of-the-moment and kind of rushed, but he was glad Tel was thankful. That performance. The blond man jeering at him as he exited the stage after his violin performance. The shameful one. Then going and kissing Othello… a lot… oh god, why did his mind manage to turn EVERY situation into something to do with Othello? Damnit!

Sonnen had actually been looking around the party for the Companion, since they were all required to be here for the event. He saw Clients new and old, as well as some retired Companions coming back to pay respects to the business. But where was Oth— wait. That tattoo. The boy’s hair was different (as well as the clothes), but there was no mistaking that little tattoo under the boy’s eye. He was fairly sure only one person would be here that would have it. That was Othello. Oh god. Oh god. His costume was so… perfect. It fit his nationality, his personality, and his talent. He looked all mysterious and stuff, yet somehow appealing and inviting. He was like a blossoming butterfly himself, all set up and ready to please the Clients. Sonnen wouldn’t admit that he was struck breathless, but that pretty much summed it up. His brain kind of died for a minute until he heard another Companion’s voice, one he was less familiar with. Twishy? Tai chi? No, Teishi, that’s what it was. Plotting to steal away the new Client. This didn’t really concern him, he supposed, but he did nod to the boy to show Sonnen recognized his presence. No, he was busy Othello-watching.

Wait. Who the hell was that skulking around Othello’s booth? Some exhibitionist alien Lady GaGa weirdo? That creep better not be accosting Othello, Sonnen thought, glaring death upon the man as his blood lit on fire. He was acting all buddy-buddy and… revolting. Oh, if Sonnen had lasers for eyes. If only, if only.

Davi. Of course he knew who Davi was — a very popular pop artist, if he wasn’t mistaken. Sonnen, being in the music business, was intimately familiar with his work. Pop wasn't exactly Sonnen’s preferred choice of music, but he did appreciate the man’s talent. ‘Celebrity’ was never a path that appealed to Sonnen. He wanted to be recognized for his talent, but didn’t want all that publicity and the watching your every move, having to have security and paparazzi and ugh. Too much stress. Guilty Pleasures had been a lifeline for him. It was the perfect combination of opportunities to showcase his passion and having fans, but not so much that he had to worry about his life and career going down the drain because of one scandalous picture. No. No one really knew who he was except for the few select people from Guilty Pleasures, and he was fine with that.

But what the hell was Davi doing at Othello’s booth? He was sure the pop tart was a new Client. That was the only explanation for his presence at the party, but why was he bothering Othello? Othello, who was so welcoming and willing to accommodate him, too. That stabbed his gut somehow, almost like Othello was being taken advantage of. It probably wasn’t true, but still. That pop tart better keep his ******** hands off. Sonnen turned back to the three boys in front of him, though in his mind he was still stunned by Othello and glaring fiery, bloody death upon that other douche bag.

Wait… was he acting jealous? No, not jealous, protective. Um… just like he would be of any of the Companions. Right? …Um, yeah, right. Being protective. He was the old man of the household, after all, and it was a bit of a responsibility to take care of the younger Companions. It didn’t matter that it was Othello. Nope, not even kind of. Not a little bit. And if he told himself that enough times, he might just convince himself that it was true.
