Logan smirked a little, lighting a cigar, hoping to get one more in before they get to the real fight. The fight against Apocalypse. "We coulda taken him," Wolverine said, smoke filtering out of his mouth as he said it. "This next scrap's the one I'm worried about."

"I found it reassuring, wasn't sure it would work on him..."

The Commissar exited his hiding spot in the staircase or what use to be a staircase; after Doomsday was through he, he destroyed the stairs, but the Commissar had claws of his own design to use to keep attached close to the doorway of the top floor. Seeing as the Hulk was dealt with and the others were here, including Logan, also known as Wolverine previously associated with Weapon X; Deadpool was no longer the Commissar's primary target.

"Now, Dr. Strange, Mister...Oh, you go by Logan now correct? No last name...Parker...And someone new? I'm sure you'll be in my records when I get back to base Miss...Now, I have an arrangement with you all to help fight Apocalypse...Would you like to hear it?"

It didn't matter to the Commissar if they agreed or not. If they agreed, his journey to finally be resorted after so long would come true, if not, you would take some shots at Wolverine to get him to bleed and clean up later, though the first option was what the Commissar would prefer. Deadpool was a more liable option since Wolverine had rage within him that could cause mutation in the synthesized Weapon X the Commissar planned to develop to restore himself. He didn't care anymore, so that didn't matter; he just wanted to be whole again.

Strange's eyes narrowed, and he muttered another chain of latin words; suddenly, the commissar was encased in a sphere of golden light. "Spider-man, Wasp, Wolverine, I think you should go on ahead. The commissar and I are going to have a little talk."

THE WASP

Janet Van Dyne

Janet looked to Strange. "You sure?" She said gently looking for only a nodd in responce. After getting her responce she looked to the others"Come on boys..." She said gently as she looked to them. She still had no idea what she would be up against with this seemingly misfit group of people she had united with.

"Now, this is extremely unnecessary, comrade; but if it only helps a deal, I'll just let this inconvenience slide...Though I assure you you're only wasting your efforts in imprisoning one such as myself; I hold no power in this form and any attempt to escape even without your fancy light show would be futile...How are your hands anyway? I remember a certain someone who searched high and low to fix his hands...I saw the car accident you know...Shame such a surgeon was lost, but the world gained a very powerful Sorcerer out of it...I know much about you and everyone who is powerful or simply a citizen...Knowledge helpful in defeating Apocalypse...Speak of the devil..."

The Commissar's view of Strange was soon blocked by none other than Apocalypse, straight from a teleportation act from his minions no doubt. The Commissar wasn't afraid of no one; everyone held the powers, but the Commissar held all the cards in this game. Even Apocalypse wasn't all knowing, he needed someone like the Commissar to live for all the latest scoops for the Horsemen that could be his servants.

((Enter Apocalypse.))

"Now that the children are gone, strong beings can finally speak face-to-face. You magic levels are astonishing for a human, but your will is also too strong to be forcibly taken...Pity, but I respect strength...Though powerful, you lack the logic to be strong."

A human with such power at his hands and Apocalypse could watch him only to defend the weak instead of making them stronger to their full potential. The Commissar was weak physically, but strong mentally, a being always seeking something that eluded him and he could never grasp, always hungry for information to feed his ego: the Commissar would make the perfect Famine. First, Apocalypse wanted to see if Dr. Strange could be converted to Death and Apocalypse meant that both ways. A powerful magical human like Strange needed to stop wasting his gift helping the weak and instead use it to make them stronger. Apocalypse wanted to test Dr. Strange, so he waited for his first move.

Strange just listened to the Commissar, his expression coolly pleasant, and the expression did not change with the arrival of Apocalypse. "I have little interest in the kind of strength you hold in such high esteem," he told the mutant evenly.

"Is that so? Interesting...You are indeed strong in the head too, I respect strength, but I waste words on those who do not care for my respect. I've not come for confront you, Strange, rather this creature using a robot as his shell...I have an interest in his true capabilities."

Apocalypse wasn't willing to fight a man like Strange only because it would force Apocalypse to go full strength and to waste his time, both of their time in fact. Apocalypse couldn't die and it wasn't as easy as with Doomsday; Apocalypse could easily escape any dimension with little effort, so fighting one another would only create a stale mate or in regular terms, a tie. Apocalypse wasn't interested in fighting someone too strong to matter really in the end result. Apocalypse would later find another way to test Dr. Strange, that applied to his mind and perception.

//Eh..bu..I...I just fixed this building. Sure, bring the Hulk and everyone here after that... xp //

Alcina sighed a bit as she watched everyone below her. The man was right...that was a bit dissapointing. She wanted to see wat all Strange could do. Her smile returned a bit when the newcommer came and aproached them, followed by another. Well, perhaps things would pick up again.

--------------

Fisk sat behind one of the computers at his desk, observing what was going on outside his building thanks to his new security system that the woman somehow got for him. He activated something that claimed to strengthen the outerwalls of the building, and there was a low buzzing sound for a brief moment.

"Oh, are you?" Strange asked, his voice mild, "That is too bad, because you're not getting him while I'm breathing."

"You can count me in on that, too... Apocalypse," Wolverine said. He wasn't looking forward to fightng this guy without the X-Men, or the Avengers, or Alpha Flight. Hell, he'd have even taken the Thunderbolts at this point. He'd rather babysit that squad of super-psychos than take on Apocalypse one-on-one. But the Doc was there, so there was still some real hope they could win.

THE WASP

Janet Van Dyne

Janet moved beside Logan and Strange. She got her wasp sting blasters turned up as she too moved towards them. "Me too..." She said in a deep voice. She was serious. And ready to fight. She was getting sick of all this talk...although she was hoping that they would talk a bit more about the powers of the others so a plan could have been made. Part of fighting together with Henry that made it work was that they knew each others limitations and strengths.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 15, 2009 11:33 pm

"Why do you hero types always want to start conflict? You see, by not letting me take this creature, you only create conflict and from what the X-Man has seen from my power, innocents will get hurt...So, by trying to be a hero, you endanger others around you...A sign of weakness in the form of stupidity...Fine, I intended to keep conflict to a minimal, but if you wish to test my strength...So be it!"

Apocalypse knew the X-Man and his friends were no match for him, but Strange was going to be a challenge that Apocalypse was going to enjoy fighting against, despite his previous intentions of keeping conflict to a minimal. A swirling vortex of energy started to emerge from Apocalypse, growing larger and larger like a shield, but doubled as a weapon as its mass grew outwards, shattering the very matter of the building Apocalypse was inside. There was some shielding that delayed the energy, but even that was slowly giving away. The energy purposely went around the light cylinder around the Commissar so to not endanger him if Strange decided to be a bit stronger and worry about his own safety then that of others. The matter wasn't destroyed; rather Apocalypse absorbed the matter and converted it to himself, making him larger as he did so with his height steadily increasing.

"You wish to test Apocalypse...Then test me!!!"

((enter Superman and Spider-man from New York))

"The only one I see getting hurt here is you." Superman said, flying fist-first at Apocalypse's chin.

Spider-man swung in behind logan and Strange "Nyeh, what's up, doc?" He queried. "Sorry I'm late, wrong turn at Alberquerque, you know the drill."

Apocalypse felt the full power of that punch, a small spittle of blood coming from his mouth, but he did not move at all. How this being was able to get inside the matter energy sphere was beyond him, especially since it didn't seem to hurt him or faze him. That did not matter; Apocalypse refocused the energy around Superman since he was within the sphere and now vulnerable to Apocalypse's power to be damaged with the might of anti-matter. The energy disappeared from around Apocalypse and was now surrounding Superman with intense heat and powerful radiation created by the matter, swirling around Superman like a swarm of locus chewing at grain.

"I do not 'hurt' so easily, 'S' man..."

Strange's eyes flashed. "That's it." He raised his arms, and suddenly everyone in the room aside from Apocalypse vanished.

{Exit Superman, Spider-man, Wolverine, and the Wasp to New York.}

{Exit the Commissar to the Negative Zone.}

"There," he added, crossing his arms, "Now it is just you and me. Which was what you wanted, correct?" There was a very dangerous glint in his eye.
