"Greetings dollmaker, I was wondering if I could commission a..special piece from you." he said with a slight bow. He constantly kept a watch on the dolls through the corner of his eye, remembering his run in with the plushie Reivan Seth had sent after him.

"No. No grown ups." Maovu replied. She stayed hidden. "Don't worry, Maovu. We'll fix him." The dolls whispered. One by one, every toy in the shop slowly turned to face the strange man.

He took a step back noticing the sudden movement, "if it's about money I assure you i can pay any price, I simply wondered if the patience and attention to detail I've seen in another doll makers work was a part of the trade or unique to her." his ring... he might be able to get a spell off if worse came to worse, "but I fond i must ask.. are you familiar with lady Seth Derahel? She is the doll maker I refer to...."

Maovu suddenly leapt out of hiding and lunged at the stranger. "What do you know about her? What did you do to her?" She demanded. The toys froze. Maovu glared into the man's eyes. Her insanity showed even through Seth's face.

The recognition and horror in Reivan's eyes was obvious but he composed himself, "I served her for some time as a house assassin, I ran into one of her toys in the tunnels once."

Maovu started to scream. "Get out. Get out! GET OUT!" A tidal wave of toys rushed at him, weapons drawn. Maovu darted out of the way. She didn't want to see him a single second longer. She wanted to forget he ever existed.

The assassin jumped back as the runes on his ring flared engulfing the hand in green flames, alive though they may be they were still dolls of cloth and stuffing. swinging his arm in wide arcs to keep them at bay he made his way to the door and out of the shop.

As Zarud walked down the street he saw Reivan exit a shop, "I wonder what he was looking at?" As he walked past he couldn't help but to have a look at the shop Reivan left. He stood outside and gazed into the window display, dolls? As he did so the top of his robe openned slightly to reveal the hole where his heart had been removed.

((reivan is first and foremost an assassin, the last thing e is is a diplomat. he was simply there to secure a few small holdings and to see what kind of force had been gathered. That done, he left. Also keep in mind he considers himself an exile due to his defection against Kiaransalee.))

(Not that I don't encourage the offshoot development, but randomly leaving the central conflict sort of just makes the plot look messy, Reivan; that's all Angel was trying to point out. Vala's probably been busy with work though, so do what you want, I guess. )

Vala's probably been busy with work though, so do what you want, I guess. ) (*shrugs.* i agree it makes it all feel messy, but i also feel it makes enough sense for what Reivan's character is like. hell, Valthier too was bored and irritated that he had to do this. he doesn't want to feel like a significant or permanant part of Au'Shinduago, he likes being closer to Union, which for purposes of this RP would make him simply a man with no permanant home city. just goes about everywhere. but he knew that since he has a responcibility to the Temple of Bones, which is inside of Au'Shinduago, he must act as part of Au'Shinduago whenever it is endangeed. the cities problems are his own as long as the Temple is there.)
