Kurai's hair stood on end as the air became charged with Nico's Hell's Lightning shot through the air. It discharged enormous quantities of electricity that, unfortunately were conducted by the particles of metal dust that the arrancar seemed to use as a weapon.

Though she did not bid it, Kurai's blade manifested itself in the form of her shikai. The rose petals flared out in an angry wave, hell bent on protecting their mistress who, at this moment, was paralyzed with fear. The velvety-red petals whirled through the air to engulf not only Kurai, but also Toshiro, Lance, and even Nico herself, though she would most likely be safe from her own lightning.

The air crackled as sparks of lightning lept from the particles of metal into the roses. The storm of petals ate the energy voraciously, almost as if they fed on the power. Soon the Hell's Lightning had dissipated, leaving no shinigami worse for the wear.

Kurai watched these proceedings clearly enough. Her mind was working on some level, trying to instill movement into her frozen limbs. It was embarassing, this debilitating fear, but she couldn't overcome it. The suffocating panic was all-encompassing.

[Hey... I'm still here! I wonder where I went...]

Toshiro's eyes slowly opened with a blurred sight of vision. He felt a pulsing pain on the top of his head. Reaching up to feel for any bumps or blood, he felt moisture on the tips of his fingertips. Lowing his hand to look at it, he realized the dark red color was his own blood. Turning his head, he saw that he hit a rock not so long ago which put him out of the fight. A fight that he did not wish to join. All forms of reaitsu was nearby.

He flexed his arms and pushed himself off the ground, the bllod that rushed to his head already made him feel dizzy. As this field of visions was temporarily blinded. He was able to kneel but the head rush was impeding his progress in standing. Waiting a few minutes, he was finally able to stand, but not without fault. He hobbled slightly, not being able to stand straight. He placed his right arm against a tree in order to balance himself.

Through disorientation, he managed to walk toward the direction where reaitsu levels were raised. Some were so pure, while others were currupted. He ran, realizing he was far too weak to shunpo, he would gain his energy through waling. He was a close distance from the intended destination. So he continued to walk. Feeling his blood rush through his veins, he was finally able to fully regain his train of thought. He drew his zanpaktou with a quick yank. The blade whistled in the air as the sheath and blade touched each other. He was getting closer... Upon reaching the clearing, petals rushed up to protect him from an electrifying charge that was in the air.

The rose petals, were the most beautiful thing he ever saw, as they disappeared, he sought the owner of them to realize that it belonged to his own Kurai. He smiled quickly to see a zanpaktou so fitting for the owner. It was then his own instincts kicked into place. " Kuraime!" He yelled aloud. Rushing to stand between her and the arrancar, he saw the fear in her eyes. The arrancar, was completely different now. The golden blade it helf was a terrifying sight. Being completely covered in armor, Toshiro felt a wave of reiatsu that belonged to Nico. "Still in the fight eh?" He smirked.

He raised his blade in front of his face in a vertical manner with his eyes closed. "Bankai..." He muttered under his breath. His reiatsu levels skyrocketed to their highest peaks as his body was engulfed in reiatsu. Random formations of ice the size of boulders circled around their location completely bordering off all entrances and exits. He stepped away from Kuraime, Allowing his body to be swallowed in ice as well. The ice was a dark blue color. Where no one was able to seen inside of it.

A sudden flash burst from the ice as it shattered to pieces. Balling up both of his fists, he extended his right arm out opening his hand. Allowing his zanpkatou to completely change it's look. Then, spreading his wings to an impressive 6 feet expansion, he folded them. Standing protectively in front of Kuraime. In a prepared stance to defend with his life.

[Hahha I had to edit it a bit because I said I was far off. But you made it look like I was close. Then I thought, "hey I want some action too!"]

Nico smirked. She licked her fangs as the sword was swung at her. She jumped over Zane and stood up behind him. She quickly took out her zanpactu-to, which had a different form. It was large, yes, but the blade was more of cat's claw or a elephants tusk. Although it looked like it had no damage, it was not lame, no, it was sharper then any blade in the Sereitei.
She stabbed at Zane's back, created a whole in his armor.
