One time my friend took her clarinet and pretended it was a gun and started shooting people with it o.O

well, this one time at band camp.... xd ...my flute is hot heart
we always take the snare and cymbal stands and make them work like guns...its waay funny
i played both the flute and percussion...cuz im just that AWESOME

The flutes (and by flute I mean ME) make out with their instuments for a laugh....people crack up at that.... blaugh

We have a lot of these moments in our band so here it goes...
1. Our timpany player's mallot (hope i spelt that right lol ) well we were in the stands and playing our fight song when suddenly the top flew of his mallot and hit a cheer leader in the head (Everyone cheered)
2. My section leader can take the head joint off her flute and play it (real noises come out) down like a clarinet does
3. In marching band last year our theme was spies and espionage, Well the flutes and piccs had to do a visual where our instruments were like weapons and i started the "piccolo oozy" fight where everyone pretended the piccolo's were like cannons
4. The flutes always pretend to sword fight
5. The melophones and tubas put the bells of their instruments on people's backs randomly and play making their whole bodies shake
6....lots of other crazy stuff. There's pretty much a new one every day

actually, today a trumpet who moved here from cali wants to be drum major next year, so he was working with us today. everyone was getting really annoyed with him cause he was really confusing..he tried to show of and show us how to really 'snap' our horns down, he was so smug...when he snapped his trumpet his mouthpiece flew off and hit a trombonest XD

oh, one time the bari player hide inside an empty tuba case and scared the tuba player real bad when she opened it XD
okay, this isn't really 'silly things to do >with an instrument<' but still...ok, there's this one game we have. you have to go upstairs and aroun the band room without touching the floor. you start at the end of the hall with the practice rooms, standing on the metal beams on the outside of the glass and holding onto pipes at the top. often swinging of the doors is required. you are allowed one chair, in which you hop on across the emtpy space from the hall to the foot of the stairs. you put one foot on each hand rail, and climb, taking the chair with you. hop with the chair on the flat break of the stairs...continue up on the rail. travel upstairs using the mini-hallway walls, in the upstairs practice room using the walls and piano, and into the 'giant practice room' on the pianos, walls, and chalk board base. go back down...travel in the band room on shelves and what not..travel on the wood above some of the cubords and where the marching tubas are held...up into the high cabnets with all the trophies on top. yeah, we get bored afterschool before football games XD

Kommandant Wiesel Kommandant Wiesel Hey. Here you can tell people the silliest or most interesting thing that you or someone else has ever done with an instrument! For instance, if your band director threw a drumstick at a lazy trombonist last year (he missed), post it here! I've not done this yet, but I plan to take a picture of myself wearing a sousaphone... then animate it firing lasers like the Death Star. xp Additionally, and I'm sure that every sousaphonist has done this at some point, I've put the bell just over peoples' heads multiple times and blasted like a foghorn. whee i dont just wear my sousaphone but my tuba to but the hard part is getting the tuba on your head its realy cool when you do though

well a couple weeks ago, one of our Floutists (flutists for those weird people who think its proper to be flutists, instead of Floutist) was trying out tonguing for the first time
and she stuck her tongue in her flute
it was funny casue our Director was like
"when you tongue, you don't put your tongue IN the flute... Or maybe you do... but i don't want stuff like that in my class"
twas funny, casue my director looks like a moth....
oh, once i was Unscrewing the tops of my valve pushy things (ou know what im talking about), and i did it too fast, and it shot off and hit of our BAri Player
and my trombonist Friends was like
"that got some good air"
and then i hate to steal back the top of my valve pushy thing from the bari player. sweatdrop
