Luniya dashed with Flint on her shoulder, zig-zagging left and right to avoid attacks. She noticed the other beast had finally noticed Lin who was laying limp on the scorched forest floor. She couldn't help at the moment, however. Besides, the new girl had everything under control it seems.

So, she focused her attention to the beast in front of her. "Hold on tight Flint and get ready!" She jumped high into the air with the grace of a delicate dancer. Luniya did a somersault in mid-air, stabbed the beast, and attmepted to land on the beast's neck. All with Flint still attached to her.

"Thanks for the ride, I'll get you the fare later" Flint said with a grin, letting go and landing on the beast's head.
"Alright, lets see if you die faster than the last one I met" he said to himself, ramming the knife hard into the beast's neck.
It howled, only to be cut off by a second blow. Though they didn't do much damage, they where enough to cause it to stop for a moment.
It reached up, grabbing Flint and throwing him off. "Damn." was all he could manage before having the wind knocked out of him by the ground.
He got up slowly, checking for broken bones. Nothing.
"Alright....you great ugly....son of a-" he was cut off by a cough, then continued. "You are going down." he informed him, reeling back the knife and whipping it at the creatures eye.
It missed, striking it in the temple and bouncing off.
It turned on him.
"Oh dear..." Flint said, staring at it.

Following the others, Rok arrived at the fight and sighed.

"I had hoped that there would not be bloodshed," he quietly mused, grabbing his axe and bringing it around to his front. Roaring loudly and shouting something in the minotaur tongue, he threw himself upon the nearest beast. His massive battleaxe whizzed through the air with a quickness and grace that would not normally be associated with such a huge weapon. Bringing it down hard over the beast's head, he silently scolded himself for hurting it, even if it was attacking his companions.

Ashe stood her ground as the beast charged at Lin. She snapped at it and then thought of something. "Everyone, get on the ground and cover your heads!" she yelled. She then spread her wings and launched off into the air. She the turned to face the beast below her and started to beat her wings as fast as she can, causing blades of wind pouring down on the creature only. It howled in pain and loss of blood, but Ashe kept it up as best she could. She saw the beast go down, stopped beating her wings, shifted to her elven form, grabbed her two swords, plummeted towards the beasts skull with all the force of gravity behind her. She struck the beast with such a force that her swords went up to the hilt in the creatures skull. She jumped off it as it started to thrash about and sat down next to Lin, breathing heavily. "You can finish now." she said to everyone.

“Understood, however I have a more sinister idea as to how to destroy the village. I think after the mind erasing is complete, we could send her in. She seems quite powerful though her exterior structure is rather frail. And being a fallen, she can’t die, meaning no matter how many arrows, no matter how many spells, she will not fail.”

Shift turned and walked towards the door and slowly opened it walking over to the chamber where Loris had taken Sorrow. He looked at her as she began to regain consciousness.

“Good you’re awake. Your name is Sorrow, I am Shift, your master and lover. I need you to take care of something for me. An evil race of Elves seeks to wipe out us good and noble folk. I will take you there, you know what to do. They must all be eliminated for the sake of justice.”

---

She awoke in a large clear rounded tube. She looked down slowly to see her hands were bound by strange metal chains. A strange fluid substance had flown through her body and when she looked up she saw a strange looking Elf man before her.

“My name is Sorrow. You are Shift, my master and lover.”

Her mind was sealed away locked by the horrendous machine. She looked up blankly not knowing anything but the lies she was being fed like spoonfuls of soup.

“Take me there, I will destroy them.”

---

“Good you’re coming to your senses. Now come with me. We have a little work to be done before partaking on our mission.”

Shift unhooked Sorrow from the machine and held her hand as she slowly stepped out of the device. He smiled at her laughing in his mind at how easy it was to manipulate people using this device.

---

The dark black winged, two headed beast, howled a ghastly howl as if it was approaching death. The other one who had been breathing down on Lin noticed it and began to howl too. It left her alone and ran to the other one. They stood side by side each other and both began to howl. Soon their black bodies began to merge and assimilate with each other, mutating, and becoming one stronger beast. The beast now had four heads, six massive legs, two bigger bat like wings, and two razor sharp tails. The new beast looked at the others and began to float up in the air flapping its wings and opening all four of its gruesome and massive mouths. It swooped down at the others and tried to snap them in half with it’s massive jaws and deadly massive canine like teeth.

((*snicker*))

Tyr dodged the beasts first swoop, rolling as she hit the ground on unsteady legs. She landed on her knees and looked up, panting slightly, her arms dangling at her sides, the dagger clutched in one hand. "Illegitimate son of a bloody aardvark." She mumbled to herself, causing Ferghall to snort to himself. That's a new one. The gray fox complimented, though he himself was worried about the strange new beast. Yea, well it just popped into my mind. The thief explained, straighting herself and shifting one foot forward, crouching down and raising both arms, the dagger out ahead of her loose fist.

Breath recovered but body tired, Tyr prepared herself for the beast. The feeling in her stomach of danger was gone, replaced by the flood of adreniline that was renewing her strength and the pounding of her heart in her chest. Maybe it's just the adreniline talking, but I think I can take him. She thought to herself, the normal nervous and slightly scared expression on her face had been replaced by a light smirk; after all, what was there left to be afraid of by this point? Uh... Let's not go into that right now... If you think you can take it them I'm not going to break you from your delusion. Ferghall laughed nervously to her, fur raising in fear and anger.

Crouching lower Tyr suddenly launched herself after the beast, left shoulder forward and she swung her right arm that clutched the dagger out, sweeping at the beasts wings in an attempt to knock it out of the air and hopefully make it easier for the others to attack. Though her attack hit, it only clipped the edge of one of the beasts wings, doing nothing more than infuriating it. It swung around, and caught in mid air Tyr couldn't avoid its claws as they connected with her, knocking her out of the air and sending her sprawling across the ground.

Ferghall, however, had luckily been protected by the attack by Tyr's shoulder armor, so he knew that she couldn't have been hurt too badly, but he did go flying in another direction. His tiny body hit the ground and bounced twice before being forced to a stop by a tree. He ached all over, but he was fine, and he gladly reported this to Tyr. She only smiled weakly in return and touched her stomach, not covered by her armor and bleeding. "Ouch." She mumbled to herself, laughing slightly. If only that stupid attack had worked, I wouldn't mind. Her smile got a little brighter, the pain didn't register as anything servere to her mind; she was used to far worse pain.

((I like this combo))

Elgarez watched as Tyr fell to the ground. It made him a little sad and he looked up at the ground, smiling.

"Okay, now it's my turn!"

He brought his arms up in an X formation in front of him. A golden aura began to appear about his body and when he threw down his arms to his side the aura erupted, and now appeared as golden flames. He jumped into the air towards the beast, pulling back his right leg to strike.

"Triple Break!"

Elgarez struck true with his right leg, the divine aura making it stronger, hitting the creature hard in the gut. He quickly follwed up with a kick of the left leg, hitting the creature in the stomach, as well. The second kick provided the power to move Elgarez through the air and appear behind the creature, which he planted his final kick, causing the creature to fall. Elgarez howled with excitement at his accomplishment.

"Go get 'em, Usrah!"

-----

Usrah nodded and took flight. He flew towards the falling creature, his sword pulled back for a might swing. The creature and Usrah were now within range and he swung his massive sword. The two passed each, the divine blade gliding gracefully across the creature's side, searing its flesh with holy power. The creature would then hit the ground, still alive, but badly wounded.

Flint rolled to the side, getting up as quickly as he could, letting his companions fight.
If this was what he was going to be facing when they got their quest from the king, then he was going to be useless.
As he watched his friends fight, he thought up a few ideas on how he could be more useful.
Only one came to mind, he just hoped he would have the time or ability to make it work.

Clutching one hand to her stomach Tyr stood up slowly, the dagger still clutched in her hand. With wide eyes she watched the first half of Elgarez's and Usrah's assault on the beast, but then common sense kicked in and she ran over to Ferghall while the beast was distracted. Gently she touched his side where he'd hit the tree, causing the fox to yipe in pain. Don't touch me! He barked mentally, snapping at her hand, which she quickly jerked out of his reach. I think you bruised a rib, Ferghall... She told him, reaching out to smooth down the fur on his head.

Turning from Ferghall she stood up, glaring at the beast. It didn't happen too often, but Tyr was pissed, and being tired and in pain wasn't helping her mood either. Her grip on the dagger tightened as she crouched down, watching as the beast was slammed into the ground. The moment it hit she snapped forward like a rubber band, slashing her dagger into one of it's wings and ripping it out like she wanted to do earlier. If it had managed to survive the attack by Usrah and Elgarez, it wouldn't be able to fly anymore and it would be easy pickings for everyone else.

As she landed on the other side of the beast, Tyr simply stopped moving her legs and twisted around, skidding to a stop. She suddenly felt sick again and her legs dropped out from under her, landing her on her butt. The dagger slipped from her grip and both hands went to her stomach now. "Ugh..." She groaned to herself, curling her knees in to her stomach.

Elgarez watched Tyr curl up from pain. He dashed to her side in the blink of an eye and knelt before her. He picked her up into his arms and stood. The golden aura that surrounded him began to envelop Tyr within its fiery grasp. She was soon wreathed in its warm touch.

"Are you alright?"

He looked upon her, a smile still on his face.

-----

Usrah landed upon the ground gracefully behind the creature. He took a few steps back, preparing another attack in case the beast decided to stand.

"Hey, El. Why do you think that mage captured Sorrow? One would think that we would be higher on Vethinger's hit list."

-----

Elgarez continued to hold Tyr and shrugged his shoulders.

"If I had to take a guess, they wish to exploit her immortality. As a fallen angel, she is no longer pure, and therefore can be controlled by the forces of darkness. I suggest that when we see her again to take great caution. If she returns under Vethinger's control, there is only one way to defeat her."

Tyr supressed her normal yipe of shock from being touched, only curling herself in tighter. She simply didn't like being touched, but then she started to feel warm and the sick feeling in her stomach faded. Still, even if she was feeling a little bit better she was feeling exposed and put into the spotlight of attention she so hated. Her face turned a very dark shade of red in a blush to defeat all blushes and she nodded her head slightly. "I'm fine." She squeaked, mentally groaning in embarassment at her high pitched voice.

From the side lines Ferghall tilted his head, one ear slicking back as the other swiveled towards her. Are you alright? You're acting weirder than normal. The fox asked her, surpressing a mental snicker. Ferghall, you're not helping, Tyr pouted mentelly at him, but then she couldn't help but worry. I'm fine, I'm just.... being touched, is all... Take a nap or something.

Shiango smirked at the idea that his most powerful follower had. He liked how he thought, maybe this follower wasn't one to be easily disposed of. Slowly he stood up, a strange feeling welled up in him, one to go meet with the adventurers whose companion they had. Before he managed to leave however, his servant Voltax entered with a line of slaves, connected by a large chain. They all were frightened, none of his people didn't know what being taken like this meant.
"Master I brought the slaves, for your pets."
Voltax walked all the way up to his master, and bowed, the servants bowed with him.
"Good job Voltax, hurry up, and feed my pets. I wish to go say hello to those, adventurers"
He smirked, and Voltax simply nodded, but his eyes showed he approved of the idea.

"Of course master"
Voltax smiled, and dragged the servants off to where the hole in the ground was, the place where the beasts lived. He simply pushed the first one down, and the others followed, screaming as they were ripped to pieces, and only becoming quiet when they were finally dead. The beasts always loved to play with their live prey, and even the chains were not strong enough for the elite ones.
"Good job Voltax, my pets seem to be happy having live prey for once. Look after this place while I am gone, here is the staff which gives you the power to keep all my followers in this area controlled. You know what to do, I have trusted you with this for years now."
Shiango threw a staff that he had created himself to Voltax. It was made like his armor, and weapons, with extra qualities.

"Yes master, you can always trust me to obey, and do as you tell me."
He bowed low, and quickly went to his masters throne before sitting down.
"Good, now I shouldn't be too long, if anyone gets out of line, you just trap them, I'd like to punish them myself."
"Yes master"

Voltax, and Shiango exchaned cruel smirkes. With that, Shiango leapt down the hole his pets were in, after being rather loud earlier, they went completely silent. Their master walked among them seeing how things were going. He did this every now and then. Once he had finished looking at all his pets, he opened another door, and inside was the king of them all. The king beast was the largest, and more powerful.

"Greetings Lord Shiango, it has been a while since last you came to see me."
Shiango smiled.
"Yes it has Falcron, I would like to go and meet some adventurers who are heading to the human capital. It seems they go against me, and are after that kings quest and money."
Falcron stood up and walked over to Shiango. He looked large compared to Shiango, and he quickly beant down.
"What is new, but wouldn't they fail like the last fools that tried?"
"No, these ones are different, and they have Usrah with them. That elders family has always managed to beat my ancestors, but I am not as weak, or as stupid as they were, and I have unlocked extra powers which they never could."
"Very well, let's get moving then."
"Yes we shall."

Shiango climbed onto Falcron's back, and held on gently. He didn't have to put too much effort into holding on, seeing as he was used to this by now. Shiango spoke some strange words, and a portal appeared above him, and Falcron. Falcron took flight, and went straight into the portal, before re-appearing not too far from the adventurers.
"Can you smell them Falcron, as the failing life of another of your family?"
Falcron growled low.
"Yes I can, no one can usually do that to my family."
"As you can see, those adventurers are not weak."

Falcron growled again, but then he let out a loud roar, which was returned by the roar of the beast being attacked by the adventurers. At the return roar, Falcron flew at an amazing speed towards it.

It wasn't too long before they finally got to the group, and saw how wounded the other beast was. Falcron became a little agrier, and tensed up as if getting prepared to attack.
"Ease up Falcron, we are not here to fight, when the time comes, you will be able to take revenge for all those of your family that have fallen at the hands of these adventurers."
Falcron calmed down.
"I know Shiango, but just seeing my kind like this sets my temper off."
"I understand. Let's move closer so they can get a better view of us."
Falcron flew closer to the other beast, until eventually he had cast a shadow over the whole clearing. He was huge, and Shiango could only just be seen on his back.
"Hello adventurers, it seems you have wounded one of my beasts quite badly, very well done, not many are able to do so much damage, especially to the middle class beasts. They work in pairs and combine when nearly dead to give you another fight."

Luniya's arm began to get numb and was sort of dangling on her side. She held it and walked closer to the beast. "Is... is it dead?" She inquired looking at the new arrival. Oh no, who is this now. I'm not in a well enough condition to fight this guy too. Luniya looked Tyr over. Tyr must have been seriously fatigued or hurt to let someone she barely knew touch her. Luniya picked up her her sword, turned from the others and licked the blood off it. She sheathed it on her hip.

This new person mentioned that the beasts were his. "Just who are you and why are you trying to kill us?" Luniya was straining to hide her pain, but nonetheless, stood up straight. She still had her pride and was determined to look strong. She released her arm and let it hang freely. I hope the bone didn't crack or anything from that damned arrow.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 27, 2008 8:00 pm

"Who am I you ask? Who are you to ask that of me?"
He smirked at how messed up the group looked.
"Most of you are too exhausted to keep fighting. Excellent, if you struggle with that middle class beast, then an elite one would easily kill you. But no, not yet, I am not here to fight. I just came to see the people who will be getting the quest to kill me from the human king."
Falcron moved down closer so the group could see him properly.
"I am Shiango Vethinger. Though I am the last of my bloodline, I can easily change that. Isn't it obvious why I want you dead? Your allies, Elgarez the werewolf, and Usrah the elder, are the people who destroyed my ancestors plans in the past. Though my great, great, great, great grandfather managed to weaken Usrah the elder mentally. Yes that is right. The Vethinger's were who killed your companions love."

He paused, then looked at Usrah and Elgarez.
"You failed to protect the one you loved when you could have Usrah, oh such a pity that you failed, and never again will you find such a love. Well at least I do not believe you will. I mean, who would want to go with someone that is 9000 years old. That werewolf is even older, the people he loved were always dying, because he wasn't careful to choose someone that won't age like himself. Such a pityful past you two have."
Now Shiango was smiling even more, satisfied at the looks he was getting.
"I'll have you know that I know everything about what you did in the past, what both of you did in the past. I did some research shall we say, and I have managed to unlock many secrets."
He paused.
"One more thing, I am Shiango Vethinger, the Shiango Vethinger, that rules the world of shadows. The darkness loves me, the light, not so much, but I manage to fight it."

((before I get to the post can I ask you a question, Demidom? Did Sorrow drop her lute, or does she have it with her?)

Ashe gazed silently at the newcomer and his beast. She could smell the darkness wafting off him like a cloak. He wasn't kidding about the darkness being fond of him, she mused. She stood up and called out to Shiango, "Did you come here just to taunt us? Because if you did your just waisting our time." She turned around and started to cut the vines away from Lin's unconscious form. When she completed this she turned to Flint and called out, "Let's get the horses. We should be heading off soon." She started to walk towards the place where she and Contri 'fought'.
