Seth nodded silently at Lee's orders and turned his attention to Henry.
"Well then that's why we need to get in touch with them as soon as possibe Henry. Calm yourself for right now."
I was a valid point. Seth felt concerned.
Seth turned to Karr, "You're in charge of the defenses Karr." He said as though Karr needed any prompting.

"Carter, extend that turret out a few feet. I wanna have those lifted on the Pelican's for cover when we lift off. SPARTAN's. I want you to cover the Captain and Dansmith. Our CO and injured are Alpha Priority."
Karr kneeled down to the metal plating of the Bay. His rifle, pinted to the ground.
"Ok listen up Marines... here is how this is going to go. Myself and the Privates are going to lay down a base of fire for the CO's. That means the Lieutenant, The Captain, Dansmith, Warren and the Doctor are on the bird first. Next, The SPARTAN's along with the rest of you all. Then last is myself, checking that everyone is on, and giving the final support fire. Is that clear Marines?" He barked through out the Bay.

Damn, am I good or what, Dansmith? If I say no, will you fry my brain? Yes, all your brain's electrical impulses focused onto your Hypothalymus would fry your endocrine system, leaving you to a slow and painful death, even in a lucid coma. Oh, well then, you're just the best damn thing to grace God's Earth, and this Damnable Hell Shell. Ma'am. Why, thank you. On to business, -as much as I love being flattered- I have promised a secure uplink through one of the Mjolnir Mrk V battlesuits that one of the SPARTAN II's is wearing. This should significantly lighten the load I'm placing on your own brain, and make your existence a bit less of a continued Hell. Sound good, Lance Corporal? Best Goddamn thing I've heard all day, ma'am. Okay, either stop that now or I'll jack with your brain's endocrine glands. Right, ha ha, sorry. So, a secure network for the team, but how the hell does that help me directly? In case you haven't noticed -which I find hard to believe- I'm still in a coma. Can't one of the marines give me a stim? Just, not the Captain. I think he's done enough, if you understand my meaning. Aww, does the little marine want to wake up? But I was about to read you a nappy-time story! ...Is it going to be like this for as long as you're stuck in my head? If so, I think I could do without my hypothalymus, please? Only when I'm bored, Dansmith. And, I warn you, I bore easily. --- The parry between host and AI took only a fraction of Angel's attention: which, to be clear, was the far-more-entertained fraction than the tactical one which was establishing a secure Link for the Captain. Oh well, duty calls. "Link established, Captain. Stone-level quality, it's all I can manage. Just don't chat it up with your wife for an hour, sir, and I think we'll be fine. Locating inbound reinforcements now..."

Warren knew he was acting out of term, but his sudden realization had excited him to much and his body began to hurt all over. "Forgot I was injured for second there" He muttered. He fell on his knee's and dropped his rifle. He wrapped his arms around his body, griping with all his might. Pain rolled threw and he waited there for a few moments and then the pain subsided and he picked up his rifle and stood up. "Order's sir?" He said calming himself down.

The Captain was grateful that so many of his officers were competent like Seth and Karr. However, there was something of a Hero attitude going through most of Able after what had happened, as most of those present still wanted revenge or some sort of psychological reparation for what had happened that day. Flicking on SQUAD-COM, he made a slight change to the decent plan Karr had presented, something he hoped would prevent anyone from unnecessary risk-taking if the time came. "Slight change to that plan, marines. If we get off this rock, we get off together. When the birds do get here, we board by squad, not rank, and the support gunners get on first so they can cover the rest of us with the mounted chainguns. As for the rest of our waiting time, do what the good Sergeant says." Lee tapped Seth on the shoulder, motioning for the Lieutenant to follow him. Stopping in front of Dansmith, he looked at the unconscious Corporal and let Seth take a long look. "Patch in Lieutenant Seth, Angel. He needs to hear this."

"Aye, sir. Admitting new signature throught the link's security... stand by.... He's in, sir. On your word, he'll hear all we say. This bandwidth is not large enough to carry multiple conversations, Captain. Just this one, so make it good." --- So, how about that stim, neh? I'm not the medic, you are. Do you think you'd want to have to go through a half-hour's worth of wake-up meds, in the middle of a firefight? There's a firefight!! Goddammit, what if I get hit!? The Captain is slightly more competent than that, to just leave your body out in the open. And besides, it's not a combat zone... yet. You are no comfort at all, my icey-brained friend. Its not my brain, Lance Corporal, so be careful who you're patronizing.

In the med-kit next to him, 3 bottles of seditive were sitting there, un-tapped and not touched.
"Ok bud, you might need to sit tight." He reached for the seditive, but brought is hand back.
"Bud, bunker down and shut it. We have a job to do, and I'm going to get off this floating scrap heap." He patted Warren on the shoulder, and went back to the Lieutenant.
"Sir, hopefully, he'll be quiet now. There are seditives in the med-kit next to him if you wanna dope em up." Anthony turned his head to the 2 privates talking, away from their posts.
"GODDAMNIT!" He moved away from the CO and walked towards them. The 2 of them stiffened up into attention. "What the ******** were you 2 doing?!" he barked. "Sir... talking sir." One said. "WHY!? Do you like having ancient robots shooting lasers at you in the a**?" Karr demanded. "No sir." The other said. "Then damnit... dont talk. Stay on your turrets and dont goddamned move or I will shoot both of you in the foot! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!?" A unanimous 'Sir, yessir' came from the 2 of them.
Anthony walked away, he slung his Sniper around again, checked everything impaitantly, and kneeled in his position next to the Lieutenant. After hearing the Captain's amendment to his orders, he nodded.
"Alright, you heard the CO! When the birds touch, get your asses in a seat and strap the hell in!" He barked across the bay.

Seth followed the Captain and got a good look at Dansmith. He wanted to ask many questions about why the Captain was talking to an unconscious soldier, but he had a feeling it would all make sense soon enough, so he held his tongue.
There was a ping sound of joining a new COM channel and Seth waited. In the background he could hear Karr yelling at some Marines.

Lee made sure he was on a private channel when he asked Angel to get in touch with Seth. Now he was going to share the connection with Seth's hardware and wait while the AI talked things over with the Lieutenant. If anything, Seth deserved to be informed, at the very least. "Alright Angel, patch him in. Also, get a decent ETA on the inbound rescue craft, and it's type and configuration. If it's another group of pelicans, we have to make sure they have ESCM for prying eyes."

Anthony, already flustered with the combination of boredom and frustration, called over to the Lieutenant. "Hey Lieutenant! Any orders?"

Warren found himself lying in the grass again, even after everything that happened. "They doped me, that b*****d" Warren complained. He might have been in pain, but sitting around looking at the sky waiting for the monitor to come and capture and probably kill some of them wasn't relaxing. His eye's shut briefly and he opened them again quickly, forcing himself to stay awake. His eye's soon shut again and he found himself snoring on the cold, hard metal floor.

Seth responded to Karr quickly, "Just hang tight Karr, keep those Marines focused, we get caught with our pants down we're dead."
He waited for whatever information he was supposed to be given by Lee's private channel with the unconscious Dansmith.

"Good day, Lieutenant. I trust you aren't half as crazy as me right now. Captain, 721-IIC is inbound, Infantry Insertion Craft. Armament consists of two 20mm Point-defense cannons and a single Archer Missile stored in the belly, ship-to-ship engagements, sir. ESCM standard onboard, sir. I detect a second AI aboard, that must be my original. Well, this should make for interesting conversation, I almost feel like I'd be talking to myself... "Best guess on ETA is eight minutes, sir, plus or minus three."

Seth's eyes began to widen a bit, but he stopped them. It wasn't too far of a stretch of the mind. Dansmith had been carrying around a copy of Angel, he was the medical officer, and that accident he had could have...spliced the two.
That begged the question, was Dansmith still around? Or had Angel--accidentally-- wiped his brain?
"Acknowledged." He said in response, his voice calm as ever, but his mind racing with possibilities.
He keyed over a signal to Karr, "Our Evac's en-route, ETA Eight minutes, have our boys ready, if the monitor comes through and starts asking questions we talk to it and stall it, but if those Sentinels start shooting through the hallways, let em have it with everything." Seth keyed a timer countdown on his HUD for Eight minutes and waited.
