((Sorry I didn't post, I was away at school for a month))

Beo grunted, and snarled "Fine. Let's talk." He wasn't doing a very good job of hiding the fact that he was ready to tear somebody to shreds.
There was something strange in his eyes, that reminded Kairi of Sickle when they first met... how he used to get a little out of control... She didn't have much time to think about it though, because she found herself in a hug.
"My own little sis, getting married? And to think I was about to punch my future brother in law!" Haden was acting happy enough for a whole family worth of people, which made sense since he was the only family Kairi had. "As long as this is what you want, I'm happy for you."
Haden wanted to mention to Sickle that he could have at least asked his permission first, since he was her older brother, but the wolf looked like he had other problems to deal with, so he let him slide for now.

"Let's go." Sickle said, heading out the door. Words flew through his head on how he should approach the issue at hand. In the end, he decided on his original path, deciding a direct and to the point approach would work the best. When Beo and Sickle were outside and alone, it took a moment for Sickle to finally turn around and face his son. It seemed an odd notion, and only the slightest bit inaccurate, that this was his son. From what he could gather, only his DNA was used, not himself as a whole.

"Beo, listen to me. I can understand this is a confusing time, as it is for all of us." He began, keeping his composure. He wondered what kind of danger Beo was in, in that future world. Was he safe most of the time? Did he ever know any kind of peace?

((Gotta cut out right here if I want any chance of replying elsewhere.))

"Well, why are you trying to make it more confusing by trying to mate with my MOM?!?" Beo growled with clenched fists. His aunt Sparky and Uncles Super and Haden had only ever told him good things and were always vague about what had happened to his parents, but that didn't stop the boy from finding out how his mother died. He had managed to sneak into the base's files and read everything he could about both his parents, from the first day they met, until their demise.
"All of this is your fault!" He shouted at his father, his claws digging into his palms, causing blood to leak out of his fists. "She's died once already because you couldn't protect her! The emeralds won't be able to bring her back again! If she dies again she won't be coming back! Being your mate will only put her in danger!"

Sickle turned away to think a moment as Beo yelled. He thought about his answer as carefully as possible. He didn't know, and that's what was halting his argument. He didn't know exactly what happened. "Tell me. Tell me the story they told you. Tell me what happened today... in your future." He asked. "How did G.U.N. get ahold of Kairi. How did those pricks hide her away for as long as a pregnancy takes?"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 20, 2008 3:28 pm

"G.U.N. has been been watching your actions, idiot," the boy scoffed, "They know that my mother lives with you and they know that you all about your whole pack, even Haden. They figured out that my mother was the same person as the lemming who blew up a hundred of their soldiers and seeing her with you gave them ideas. They were nervous you'd mate and have a child. They were scared you'd have a mutant pup just as powerful as the two of you. Then, they realized if they could harness that power for themselves, they'd have a pretty good weapon on their hands... the weapon you were supposed to be."
Beo was still visibly angry, but he took a breath and looked sad for a moment. "They got mom and used some of your DNA to make me..." He looked down at his hands. "In the labs... they some sort of equipment that accelerated the cell division of the artificial pregnancy. It was only two weeks before I was born..."
"Super came up with a plan to save my mother... There was a day when you knew that a lot of the soldiers from the G.U.N. base where she was being held were going to be absent running training drills. So you waited and formulated an exact plan... a lot of good it did you. They didn't run those drills because there was a thunderstorm at the testing grounds and they didn't want to damage the equipment they were testing... You didn't know the drills were canceled and went to the base anyway. When you go there, Super tried to tell you that the drills were canceled and all of the soldiers were there... but you ran in anyway, head first into the enemy's base. You didn't even make it to where they were holding her before they gunned you down."
"Not that it would have mattered," Beo grimaced, "She died hours before... giving birth to me, your god damned demon spawn. It was because of you that they found her and because of you that I was born! I won't let her die again on account of you! Or me!"

Sickle listened to his story. He wouldn't care about the circumstances. He would want to find her, save her, just like he said. "I won't argue that I would make stupid mistakes. I won't argue that it would of been my fault that she was taken. I won't even argue that you shouldn't be angry." He said. He turned to Beo once more. "But I won't have that happen. I may have been clueless of G.U.N.'s attack, but I won't let that happen. Never again will I allow them to hurt your mother." Before Beo could raise another word, he grabbed his shoulder and looked him int he eye. "I won't fail this time. Because this time I'm taking the fight to them. I'm gonna rip the b*****d Brass's head clean off by the time this resistance is over." He released Beo and walked around a bit. "I have a clear head Beo, and I thank you for that. I can see my flaws. My failures." He muttered. He remembered when he failed to protect them home in Station Square before. He had made a promise of no more screw ups... and all this time... "Thank all the is holy that Super was prepared..." he muttered.

Beo crossed his arms and titled his chin back, looking quite arrogant. "So what are you going to do old man? Rush their base and hope for the best? If G.U.N. is anything like it is in my time, we're going to need a better plan than that. If you wan to get to one of the higher ups, you either need a man on the inside or some means of luring him out."
Even though Beo looked more like a brawler than a thinker, he was pretty good when it came to war games.

The sound of Beo's screaming could be heard still inside of the house. While Lea looked towards the door in concern, Anna's eyes were dull and expressionless. Her ears were pinned back. She was listening...because she knew. Everything was different because of him..... The past she knew...the one that was "real"...and now the one that was starting to form...they were all wrong. Beo probably didn't even know the truth....She burried her head in her mother's shoulder. Why did her family destory everything?! Why did they take everything away from themselves and eachother? Why!? WHY!?

Lea was growing uncomfortable with her daughter's distress, but made no attempt to break free. What was going on? She tried to get her mind off it by paying attention to Haden's happy chatter about Kairi getting married. But still....

((I was thinking of maybe mentioning the storm in Slash post, but should I give more time for the planning of ambush? ))

"You don't understand at all." Sickle said. He seemed cold now. "Under the circumstances you told me, I have no doubt that is the way I reacted. I've always had one goal in mind. Protect your mother." He said. "I may have failed in your past, but not in this one. I don't think anyone would of told you this, but as a G.U.N. special agent I learned more in the field then anyone here at home could. Tactics of hundreds of nations are stored in my head. I've researched thousands of battles. I can coordinate a battle. I can lead soldiers. While they may speak ill of my actions in your life, I do not condemn them." Sickle related. "Given what you've told me, if it still happened, I have no doubt I would do it again. I'd do anything to save her. Even give up my own life." He said. He turned to Beo. "As far as I'm concerned, Beo. I succeeded in your timeline. I saved a part of her." He headed into the house and passed the small gathering of people. He kept walking and went out the other side of the house. Outside, he listened to the waves in the shore. He was not alone.

"So, what now?" Super asked. The hedgehog had followed. Sickle turned to Super and sighed. "I know that one. That's the 'well, we aren't gonna live well for the next ten years' sigh." he gave a smile and patted the wolf on the back. "Don't worry too much. She's safe right now. All I need you to do is focus on keeping her that way." He turned to walk away, but Sickle grabbed his arm.

"You are gonna need me to do more then that. Super, we're taking on G.U.N. now. In the open. This is war we've started here. Maybe you haven't noticed, but they were planning on taking Kairi. They've been planning our downfall for months now, and now that we've got the best of them one time... we're screwed as hell in keeping this quiet. We need to get away. A base within the danger zone is not a good idea. If anything.." He thought a moment. "We need to move outta the country. Build a resistance. A small tactical force to hit G.U.N. where it hurts."

Super stared at his friend. A ragtag force within enemy boundries wasn't unheard of, but they rarely won. Hell, they were just a small family with a lot of information. Besides... "Sickle... your crazy. You're right, but you're crazy." He sighed and sat down. "I never thought about it. We couldn't do too much. The way we're based now. I'd be a fool to think so." He bowed his head in distress. "We need to... ugh. It really is too much." He grumbled. Sickle looked down at Super.

It wasn't often where Super would be at a lost of what to do. It was basically the big sign that said that they were truly screwed. But Sickle knew different. "Look Super, I know a guy who knows a guy across the sea, in Europe. Look, in the South East of Europe, there are a lot of warring areas. G.U.N. is taking a blind eye, but there is another faction out there. One that is far more radical then G.U.N." Sickle helped Super up to help him think. Super always thought better on his feet then sitting down. "The faction is often considered as some kind of terrorist group. But what most people don't know is, they are part of G.U.N. themselves. They aren't radicals. They are just another part of that sick army."

"Sickle.. how do you know that? I never heard about it and I was the closest to the generals and the Commander then almost everyone else?" Super asked, dumbfounded.

"I found out on a mission. I doubt even the commander knows. I was in one of of G.U.N.'s 'peacekeeping' missions. When we got to their base, we were told specifically not to damage any of the facilities. Hell, we couldn't if we had tried. The mission was supposed to be a failure, the whole group lost. They wanted to sweep up my body and see if the healing agents they employed into my body worked well enough to bring me from death." Super looked interested, but didn't say anything. Sickle continued, "Well, things went wrong. Our group wasn't half bad, and with my help, we took out a large force without a single casualty. Our commanding officer went missing... the b*****d knew what we were supposed to do. We carried on anyway. We came back to HQ with a mission accomplished attitude. Saved the base and took the info. Of course, I knew more then my unit. I saw the files they didn't."

"Your kidding." Was all Super could muster.

"This organization is the resource getter for G.U.N., they want something, they send them out. Then through 'peaceful treaties' or some other bull, they get their hands on it while seeming like heroes." Sickle explained. A pin drive hung from his neck, and Sickle grabbed unto it. Upon closer expection, it had some engravings on the side of it's metal case. The pin drive was also his dog tag from the army. "I have the transactions and notes from that attack stored on this. Keep it with me always."

((Obviously, I still don't have the NAME for that organization, but Kain and I have basically worked out the bugs for what they do.))

Beo looked out after his father as he walked away. His hands were clenched into fists so tight that there were four tiny pools of blood collecting in his palm. He wanted so much to hate his father, but the wolf was making it really hard. The boy paced around the room a few times before shouting to himself and sitting down on the couch. He felt so conflicted. All his life he had been angry and resentful toward his father... but now... he knew he'd have to help him if he wanted to keep the people he cared about safe. He took off his shoes and pulled his legs up onto the couch.

Meanwhile, Kairi had left her older brother to think about wedding plans and things and joined Sickle and Super who were a little bit farther off.
"Hey, boys, wanna tell me what you're talking about or is it a secret?"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 31, 2008 5:10 pm

"No secrets, that creates too many rifts." Sickle said automatically. Super's eyebrows raised. Sickle seemed to have magically grew up a bit in the last day. Or perhaps they never had the chance to notice much. It's not like they saw each other every single day anymore. Once a week was far more common. "We were talking about the next move. Beo explained to me G.U.N.'s plans. They were none too good. We realized we couldn't hold any real fight where we are now. If we really want to take out G.U.N., we're going to have to commit to it now."

Super stood up. "And that means leaving the country. Sickle knows some old army pals who can still hook us up with a means of leaving without a trace." Super said. He mainly just BS'd it to keep Kairi happy. It wasn't to keep a secret, he mainly could take care of that aspect himself. "But we need to protect our most important things before anything, and to me, that means Sparky and Nadia." He said. "That means moving out of harms way."

Sickle nodded. "For the most part. I've got information that, with time, can start to bring G.U.N. down to it's knees. But we have to move. We have to go to Europe to do it." He looked away a moment. He didn't know what to say from here.

"Kairi, I know you don't care that I say it, but normally this would be the point whether I ask if you want to bail or not. I know your answer, but it doesn't matter now." Super said, being as plain as he can. Kairi was roped in it now, whether she cared or not. Super banked on the fact that no, she didn't care, because she would of chosen to help them anyway. "So I guess... I guess we just pack our bags. I'm going to go make contact with one of my friends. Sickle, I suggest you do the same." Super said, walking past Sickle. He stopped a moment and cracked a big smile. "Oh, and congratulations on the proposal."

Kairi smiled, "thanks Super. You're like my bestfriend-in-law now." The fox was as usual, laughing in the face of danger and making jokes at serious moments. "If you boys are busy planning our vacation, I'm going to go find Beo. Where exactly did you leave our kit after your little chat, sweet heart?" she asked her fiancee, a little bit more serious now, not knowing if the conversation went well or if things got worse.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 31, 2008 5:22 pm

"He should be near the front of the house. But after the twists and turns, I'm not exactly sure where that's located." Sickle explained, scratching the back of his head.

Super thought for a moment, "Actually, Kai, we may be needing you and Haden more out there. We know some areas pretty well, but you two actually lived out there for a time. We were only out there on missions." He explained. "Perhaps you should plan it when we give you the general location of where we need to be."

Kairi was about to walk away and look for Beo, but she turned back when Super spoke. After hearing him out she nodded, "I'll talk to my brother about it. I'm sure together we'll be able to come up with a good game plan... You guys call your friends, and I'll talk things over with Haden. Reconvene in like ten minutes."
