(Sorry for the double post, but I thought it was appropriate...)

*A few years earlier*

Athramir was once again testing the Heart's power, as well as his own in Castle Kvatch.
He was just about to test his new theory when one of his daedric servants appeared before him.
"What do you want?" Athramir snapped, he was very busy and didn't need to be disturbed by another meaningless report of bandits.
"Sir!" The dremora started. "Three people are making their way through the castle! One young Imperial girl, one Bosmer and one Dunmer. All wearing black robes similar to yours!"
"So... they've finally come..." Athramir said, rising to his feet. "Then let us meet them in battle. Send in the others! I would prefer not to get my hands dirty... Take them down in the Hall before my private quarters. It's already ruined and is large enough to ambush them."
"Yes sir!" The dremora complied, leaving quickly.

(Sounding familiar Kurai? XD)

(indeed. the b*****d! i would SO kill athramir in RL if i coul and if he was real! xD i never said it was useless, either. and kk, Nick ^-^ )

Shaon looked back at her sister and nodded. Aska's stubbornness was contagious. "Back on one of my first contracts, we fought him in Kvatch. I was just a murderer then. Leo was a speaker, Sydney was a silencer, if i believe correctly. They were on a goal to defeat Athramir, a so-called traitorous brother. But the placed was ambushed and we had to make it through throes of bandits and dremora. It was hard...for me. I don't know if it was as hard for the others until we fought Athramir. He was too strong. I did all i could, but mostly i just got thrown at the wall and nearly killed. in the end i distracted him, thankfully, because it was all i was good for back then, and Syndey was able to deliver the killing blow. But, when he died...i don't know. i don't think he'd die that easily." she began through the brush. "people with that kind of power are not felled by means of such simplicity."

She walked next to her for a few moments before saying, "K I S. Keep It Simple. Sometimes, the final blow is just a poke, something that hurts some but will kill them when the other blows have hurt them badly enough. You did more than most can and I've seen plenty of people who could only stand their, screaming, while their family was slaughtered." Her face changed from being flat as normal and grimaced at the memories. At least her brother made it, although she never saw him again. She had always thought that for his better.

"that was all i could do for my blood family..." she grimaced. "standing there, screaming, watchig. unable to fight back..." her arms shook as she recalled it all.

Aska stopped too and put a hand on her shoulder, one of the most emotional things she had ever done, and looked into her eyes. "You must keep remembering it and remember that you can now kill, much better than they ever could. They where weak to do so and now their bodies are yours for the taking."

Sydney walked into the storage area, surveying the scene.
The Morag Tong has posted a sentry, standing on what seemed to be a trapdoor. Too easy... He thought as he reached for his blade, to find it wasn't there. Taking on the Morag Tong with no weapon? This was not going to be fun...
The sentry spotted him and charged towards him. He was wearing full Chitin armour, bar a Morag Tong helm.
Sydney dodged the blade swinging towards him and punched him in the stomach, knocking the man off his feet.
Sydney grabbed his assailant's blade and killed him. This weapon would have to do for now...
Sydney hid the corpse behind a stack of crates.
He grabbed his armour, covering his face with the helm, and went down the trapdoor.
He shouldn't be busted now...

Shaon almost winced at the look. Aska was much more cut out for a speaker than she was. She wasn't good enough yet to be ranked with Leo and Sydney. "I'm not as strong as i can be..." she clenched her teeth, trying to look away, but her gaze was stuck n Aska. "I'm not as strong as i need to be...not yet..."

Aska smoothed her face and gently squeezed her shoulder and said, "No one ever is. All you can do is hope that it will suffice for when it is needed the most. Just keep working at it. Now, let's find this Athramir and show him the full wrath of a women, shall we?" With a wink, she turned around and started walking further into the forest.

Shaon grinned at Aska's comment. "He'll be sorry." I'll kill him for you Sydney. I swear it. I'll do it or die trying.

((Ooooh, sounds like a spooky end to a book in the middle of a series! wink ))
They walked on, taking about an hour until Aska started to have a small whisper of doubt in her mind when a low droning sound filled the air. It was almost like a bee but insanely louder and without the extra sound of the wings slapping against each other, just something unimaginable. But the sound was definately coming from ahead. Rushing forward, Aska suddenly stopped in both amazement and horror. Before her was another rift in the air, but one that was vastly more obvious; it was a giant hole, perfectly round that was being fed from a blindingly bright pillar that kept moving about, almost in a majestic way and broke apart close to the top, as if forming a hand that the finger tips where caressing the edges of the hole. Inside the hole was what looked like a map but alive some how and giant pillars poked up every where. After a few seconds, she realized that they where buildings! Giant buildings that reached upward and toward the ground on her side of the hole. She could tell by the way tiny versions of the three legged creature they saw earlier walking into the base of the structures.

(it's kinda how one of the ones in my middle ones ends ;D )

Shaon gaped. "What in the world?" she whispered. "what in the world??"
PostPosted: Tue Feb 12, 2008 9:50 pm

"No, two worlds. That has definately got to be another. Let's go to the base of it and see if we can stop it." She walked off determinedly, knowing that they must sneak past everything and try to destroy whatever was holding open the giant doorway to another world. After a while, they came to a completely metallic building, but one made from some other type of metal she had seen only once and was in the window frame. It had to be the place!

Sydney came down the ladder into what seemed like a shrine to Mephala.
It made him sick, to see all of these fools worshipping Mephala.
Odds are, the people in this room had killed many of his brothers. It made him want to kill them all right now.
But he knew, it would be a stupid move and he would be killed.
He moved to the nearest person, a Dunmer woman, and asked where Eno Hlallo was.
"Straight down the corridor, right at the end... as usual. You should know that, right?"
But Sydney had no time to listen to the rest. He went to the end of the corridor and opened the door.
His fate lay within...

Athramir hadn't heard from his servant dremora in quite a while...
They must've been having some trouble.
Nah, of course they weren't. 100 to 3? How could they?
He kept going with his experiment, so far so good.
Then he heard footsteps coming up the stairs, his dremora must be coming back.
But there seemed to be more than one set of foot steps... something wasn't right...

Shaon nodded, sneaking around the things and opening the door, letting Aska go in first. she followed behind. "two worlds? how strange..." she mumbled.
