haha, I've been playing flute for 6 years and taking lessons for 5, and I recently found out my teacher named her flute Gwendolin! Oh, I love her.
Does anybody come from a small school band? I mean really small - my band has a grand total of 20 people (our percussion is larger than the rest of us combined) and only one other flute player.

Hi! I am also a Flute.In my band, there is only one other flute I like. rofl
I have been playing for 3 years and I love it. Right now I am in concert band but, I plan to join marching band. heart

I play flute and am proud^^. On our trip to ohio i almost got a t shirt supporting the woodwids but it wasn't very nice to the brass section and a lot of my friends play brass instruments.

No small band for me, my band just recently got 4 new flute members so we shall never be small(I hope) jeje

I play flute! ^^
and piccolo. I've been playing for 5 years and when I played in an honors band from all over my state, I got 4th chair. (not bad)

Flutes!!! WOOT!! I've been playing for 1 yr. and a few months. It's the awesomest instrument ever. I'm currently playing in Pep Band. Sadly, i'm 5th chair. crying . Oh well, i guess its preety good for a 7th grader.

I've been playig flute for 3 years in the school band! Before that I played 2 other instruments, but I've liked flute best! ^_^

Well, our band hovers around 40 players. We're about half the size of other bands from the same size schools. We are getting better though.

wow i feel old.. ive been playing the flute for 13 years and the piccolo for 8 years. i took private lessons for 4 years. my high school was huge (around 3500 students) but our band was pathetically small for the size of our school, we had about 40 kids in the band.
