Sephon was certainly fascinated by the mirage she showed him and he shook his head. he looked down at Lystral being hit on by Tegral. He was admittedly a little annoyed by it but not because he had any feelings for Lystral, she was like a sister to him. "Sometimes we're faced with things that aren't our own making.... but they're sent to us by someone one to test us and change us.... I think that's how you have to look at them." he made the notion to Sairys.

Sai merely toasted her bottle at sephon, as she took a swig at it. the warm liquid made it down her throat warming up her body. She continued to glance down at the inhabitants below them, She would sigh as the breeze that flowed through the rafters made her want to go outside and enjoy the peaceful night.

"Thank your inept commander for that," Thanatos replied to Kah, pointing to her statement that everyone was close to killing eachother after Gan's party. "I might suggest adding a public relations officer to your team at some point." Than couldn't sense exactly what was going off in Kah's cybernetic systems, but he was sure she wasn't a defenseless drunk. Even so, he still hadn't done anything to put himself in a combat ready state, nor was he inclined to worry because of it. After a few minutes, the wreaking of alcohol became too annoying for Than and he lowered his hand, exhaling heavily. "Why am I bothering? There's no point talking to a drunk toaster." Without the slightest regard, Than moved past Kah and into the dojo without so much as a fairwell.
Fortunately for everyone involved, Than decided to avoid the two male attendees of Tegral's party and thus avoided instigating a second confrontation. There were three other people in this room he was unfamiliar with. Lystral and Sephon were entirely new to him, and he'd never had more than a few moments of contact with Sairys and thus regarded her as unfamiliar as well. Although Than's red dress shirt and black pants would seem normal enough, even though Than wore a glove on his left hand and not his right, Than's facial features were a little out of the ordinary. The first obvious thing would be where Than's left eye should have been there was instead a sizable scar which led from his temple up toward the bridge of his nose. Secondly, his right eye was gray and unusually pale, with a milky discoloration on his pupil; it was easy enough to see that the boy was now blind, and he looked to be in his young adult years. His azure blue colored hair was cut fairly short, neat, but not particularly styled.
Ignoring the normal 'long time no see' or 'hey it's great to see you again' greeting, Than wrapped his right arm around Aria's shoulders and embraced her casually. Of course the last time he had met Aria, she had been fused with Aethi and was technically attacking the citadel. Still, it seemed that was at least one attack on his home that Than was willing to forgive, but it didn't seem likely Tegral would receive the same grace, and his previous conversation with Griffin might have hinted Kaiori wouldn't get it either. "How're you doing, Ari? I guess I've been gone a while." The words were soft spoken and affectionate in a style similar to an older brother; the new people may have assumed as much, given Aria's and Than's similar hair colors.

Aria smiled as she was hugged by Than.
"As best as I can be....my girlfriend went off somewhere and Dad died again....but you prolly knew that..." She said softly. Her Icy blue eyes gazed up at the man, she didn't look much younger than him. "What about yourself....you look a bit different since I last saw you...." She said lightly, it was far from jest however, Aria had her own scars to bear, though none were so bad.

Glancing at the empty bottle with a sigh, she placed it beside her. Drinking wasnt the same anymore, She needed large amounts to even giver a pleasent buzz. This place needs Music... she simply made that mark of no music being played. Music always brought people to together, well atleast to the extent that she can remember.
She watched as the blonde haired man tried his moves on the girl near the window. Found it quite amusing that a machine can act drunk. She rolled her eyes over to the man who walked in and casually hugged a young woman. Seemed like family, but she wasn't one to judge as she felt fairly new to this place. So many faces, so many different personalities.

Than was indeed already aware that D had been slain some time ago. In fact, he was somewhat surprised he had not been successfully brought back yet, given how common revival from death had been in the old days. Still, what bothered him a little more was that Aria seemed to be almost detached from the statement. "Yeah.... I'm not completely out of touch. You're not here alone all the time are you?" It was a question of concern, since he hadn't seen Aria mingling with any of the other new people in the room, which reinforced the idea that she wasn't friends with many of them.
"What, this?" Than smiled meekly and unwrapped his arms, placing his right hand by his eye with his middle finger on his right eyebrow and ring finger just below the same eye. "Just something that would have eventually happened after losing my left one. The blindness isn't much of a bother to me anymore though." Moving his hand up, he brushed some of his hair back on the right side. "It has been one reason I've been stuck up in the citadel for a while, though. but I don't really have an excuse for being gone so long. Best I've been able to do is keep an eye on what's been happening with my father's equipment. If I'd known sooner, maybe I would have been able to help." That as something more like how Than used to be, and he could have been referring to any number of events that had happened while he was gone. His metal hand would quietly clench, easily overlooked.

"Well....There's my brother and Erike, my uncle, occasionally Truinthil and Athaele will wander outta their wing of the Mansion, Mom's always in the Library or training...but pretty much, yea.....this is the first time I've been back here in a while...." She said casually. She peered up at his eyes, not that he'd be able to see her doing it but still if he could, he probably didn't mind, she had always been pretty curious. "How are your siblings? Last I saw they were tiny little things and scared of me..."

"Oh, that's right, you're a big sister now," Than had never actually met Aria's brother yet, and of course he wasn't investigative enough to have found out the boy's name. "Welcome to my world then." He chuckled lightly. Of all the 'children of the BC,' Than and now Aria were the only two who had the positions of having siblings younger than them. Of course, one could argue Griffin fulfilled the same responsibilities, but he was in all technicality Bell's twin, not really an older brother.
Than did act a little bit like a child trying to make an excuse for himself when Aria mentioned his younger siblings. "Ah... well they aren't quite pint sized anymore..... I guess you might say they've made it to quarts?" The joke wasn't really a hit. "Well, last time I didn't even know they'd followed me. If I could have introduced everyone properly, they might not have been so afraid. I don't think they'd be all that scared of you anymore." Than thought for a moment and then added, "though that reminds me, I think both your mom and your little brother were in the citadel just before coming to the dance. If I remember right, they were with my parents and my siblings." Than had no way of knowing if Aria was unaware that Phia had come to the citadel seeking help in tracking down and obliterating Truinthil's clone.

"What?" Came Aria's response to this knews, eyes narrowed and growling. "What do you mean they were their....Unless she had a leave of absense in her mind or the booze ran out, she hates your father still.... Why the hell would she even be there?" She asked, although the last bit was more to herself then him. She looked up to him and suddenly felt the urge to smoke, just a bit. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed heavily. "This was about trying to get Dad back....or getting back at that Clone wasn't it?"

The growling was quite enough to tell Than she wasn't happy about this fact, if nothing else, and he placed his hand on her shoulder, patting her shoulder twice before just leaving his hand there and trying to be somewhat supportive. "Hey, hey, don't stress over it too much. No need to speculate when there's a way to find out the answer." He offered her a smile, but hopefully it was obvious he wasn't smiling out of a naive optimism but was smiling as a way of telling Aria he understood and had a solution she could use. At her second question, he placed his left hand on his hip and shook his head slightly. "I wouldn't know. I never saw them personally, but I know they were there; my mother and siblings saw them. Although, if Phia really hates my father the way you say she does, there could only be a few reasons she'd go to him, right?"

Standing up on the rafter and turned and gave Sephon a Smile before dropping down on the party. Not making any sounds as she landed, She brushed off the imaginary dust and made her way to the door. The group of people were interesting but the party seemed to die off. This place was interesting enough, and she was sure there had to be more to know of this place than the dojo, as so many different people came to relax.
Opening th door just enough to slip through she made her way outside. Placing her hands on her Hips as she walked out, glancing up at the moonlit sky. She stood on the porch for some time before wondering off a bit into the grass. Her eyes shimmered softly like a nocturnal animal, she sighed debating in what direction to head in.

Acuzio finally having wandered his way back into the midst of the Black company homestead takes a moment to look around. His eyes gaze over the room the tatters of his memories trying to piece things together from his last visit. "Hmm..I wonder if that giggly black haired guy is still around.." He mutters to himself recalling Mastema laughing at him.

Aria looked to Than and arched a slender, pierced blue brow.
"Emphasis on the not liking him so much....He tried to give my mother a rather nasty abortion when she was pregnant with me..." She said and ran a hand through her hair. Her mother had been up to all sorts of strange things lately, sure she was known to go on training binges and be gone for a few days at a time but Aria had noticed that her rapier and training suit were still in their respective places, or that her desk in the Library was more organized, which meant it was being touched less. She knew that Devon had taken to straightening out after his mother, a strange thing for a five-year old to do but it was cute. She huffed a bi't then looked to her quasi-cousin. "I dunno...the only reason I can possibly come up with involves getting my father back....or her going after the clone since the real Truinthil is absolutely useless....

"Yeah... I'm aware...." Than was already more or less knowledgible on how chummy Mastema and the BC had been in the past. He still couldn't say they were great friends exactly. Than wasn't able to see Aria's frustration as she wrung her hands through her hair, but he could easily tell her frustration by other means. Than's response was to raise his hand, extend his index finger, and push it lightly against the center of Aria's brow. "The air around you is way too dense right now, Ari. You'll figure out the answer somehow. Don't try to force all the elements together unnaturally." Through the entire statement, Than was smiling, which might be odd considering how tense the current atmosphere might have been, and slowly pulled his finger away from Aria's head. Even with new people coming and going, he didn't once take his attention away from her, and if Aria still possessed her empathic abilities, she would hopefully find some solace in feelings Than's calmness and confidence.
