Logan looked back from Jones to Gem for a moment before he sighed and nodded to the captian. "Alright, fine." So he eased the hammer back on his gun before he gave it a light twirl on his finger then it was gone, back into his robes without another thought. Though a blink as it seems Jones was making his rounds, and Logan kept a close eye on the creature, even if it was a Legend he would go toe to toe if he had too.

He appreciated the comfort she was giving but kept his face hidden behind her. That thing was just odd and he didn't like it at all. He'd begun to learn to keep a handle on random changes associated with emotions but still couldn't control it when he sneezed.
"You have the look on your face like my father with a new book of runes or my sister with her arms full of some mangy animal she found. Plotting against the captain?" Because that's really the only thing that would make her look that satisfied with herself.
She blinked once then glanced about as if the answer to the question she was silently asking was in the sands. "No one owns them." A quirk of an eyebrow and she was a bit intrigued. This was who again? And why did he act as though he knew her? Her kind, as he'd so charmingly put it, hadn't been sighted for centuries. "The Gift."
She wasn't too happy, was she? Then again with Kaznec as bad off as he was that was pretty much to be expected. He glanced down at the dragon and then up at the rather feral one and backed away very slowly. "Jaebelltiah. Calm down. Kaznec's perfectly safe down here. No one but you and I can get to him." Downside of marking....very big downside.

“Just saying Logan…it’s better to keep your life safe with caution than throwing it blatantly into death’s hands.” Though she couldn’t help the blink at the audible growl and such at the mention of Kaznec. Was that Ice? Oh please don’t let there be no crazy dragon happening on her ship more than already what was happening. And help them if they broke her ship in any way. “Finish your business Jones and kindly be off my ship. I’ve no deal with you and thus you’ve no business with me.” Brave little sand cat she was she supposed but she also remembered such legends and was trying to spin them in her favor…even if this was all a rum induced nightmare. Besides…she had a little dragon that was clinging to her that was scared and if she remembered right…they had changes happening when they felt threatened.
“Plotting against isn’t really the phrase…but holding perhaps people’s very lives and happiness in your hands is a tad satisfying if I do say so myself.” Yes she was sporting a little smirk on her face despite what all was going on. Kelligrin seemed no further put off than she did about this…then again they came from the Underdark.
Her name drew her attention back to the little creature that was sharing her face but fortunately for him had proved he was a threat despite his appearance. Which kept her in her place. Thusly she merely hunkered down in front of where Kaznec lay, crouched in a way that said she was ready to spring at any provocation she deemed worthy. Though that ice did recede a little.

clacking his claw, and staring at the wretch.
"That is why your here? That device is long gone, and even if you can recover it's pieces, the power that made it work as all but left."
Before turning his attention to the Captain.
"Duely put."
Before turning his attention back to the star pest. and snorting lightly.
"I'll be watching you. and your kin."
Before blowing away in the air and the Prince diving back beneath the sand that it came from, taking Teach with it.

One slender brow quirked and the stars in her eyes seemed to flash an otherworldly color no human had ever seen before. He obviously had no idea of what he spoke about at all. "You can no more watch us than you can command us. Don't speak idle threats, they will be your downfall." A glance at Gem. "Captain, was that an acquaintance of yours?"
"Ah yes, the euphoria that comes from holding someone's world." He wasn't concerned about the pirate that had popped up since they seemed to do that an awful lot and at the most random of times, too. "Savvy...do you know anything about what's happening to the dragon downstairs? I don't know very much on dragons but I know your father kept records and such."
The energy dissipated as fast as it had come and he knew Eilynne needed to alert the other dragons and help needed to be achieved for Kaznec. He sent the message through Areesa who was still bouncing around happily, informing his companion that she needed, quite frankly, to hurry up.

Anticlimactic, but that was the way that most rum induced nightmares worked, right? But of course. Point was the nightmare was ebbing, wasn’t it? That was her story and she was sticking to it. Though it seemed that the little ever mysterious one had questions. “Nope. Pirate Legend in the sands. Davy Jones, nasty. Probably not as bad as Fang, but at this moment merely a figment of my imagination and rum.”
Of course Kelligrin understood, he was an assassin…he held just as many lives as her though his wasn’t for keeps like hers were. Though a quirk of an eyebrow at his rather unexpected question. “The one almost dying from elemental affinity overload or the one that’s practically feral enough to be a dumb beast?” Ears everywhere were proving her well…and well, he little necromantic detector was going off because of such things too.

Des tilted her head lightly.
"I thought her kind would know about something like him."
a shrug, before handing over a rum bottle she swiped from another sailor.
"well now that's out of the way...We should probably focus on keeping Kanzec alive. that comment about fearing death from Jones gave me chills."

"That is half of the problem, Desdemona. You assume far too much. You assume the captain has truly changed his opinion of you. You assume I would know a human legend. He is no more legend to me than the great Dragon of Beyond. And this Jones can claim no soul unless it is intended from the very beginning."
Kelligrin's lips curved appreciatively as she read all the intended meanings of the question. "Both. Both can be used against the other and that is important for those such us to know. Further, weaknesses must be cataloged and recalled in the event their use becomes paramount."

Swiping the bottle she took a swig and gave a laugh of 'oh boy' tone. "Why would they know about him? Silly pirate legends. Somebody swab my decks, I don't care how dark it is!" Shaking her head and looking to Des. "Well...the only way to do that is to get deeper into this glass and hope for the best. Make sure Hunter keeps someone at helm all night and straight to morning...we need to cover as much ground while the temperature is down." Crouching down to pluck off the little dragon attached to her and picking him up, handing him the bottle of rum. "Have yourself a sip Treasure, you're shaking like a pigmy lizard on a block of ice."
She grinned as well, it was nice to know that she didn't have to curb herself for someone's tender sensibilities. "They're nothing but draining energies, I can tell you much." Turning to him slightly. "I see you're sharpening your skills as ever. How about you get a girl some dinner and she'll give you some words."

"Well your a legend yourself. Your kind have been around long enough someone somewhere must have known about him. don't you keep records of things like that?"
Crossing her arms lightly.
"His opinion never changed. It just got buried for awhile."
Nope, wasn't going to entertain that idea and fret herself with doubts and hidden meanings.
Hunter closed his spyglass and nodded to Richards.
"Lets close the gap a bit, and make sure that we're well within range for help either way with this glass. I don't want to be caught lagging behind if she uses those deck cannons."

Switch He loved insider information, almost as much as he hated the sun. His dad wasn't kidding when he said fireball of death. Right now it was so hot he thought he was going to melt into a puddle of sweat, which was a new experience for him seeing as elves didn't typically feel the heat. But this...this was overly hot. He'd seen a few humans almost pass out even though it was only a few hours past sunrise. Dropping his forehead onto his knees, he gave a groan and shook his head. Too damn hot. Eilynne had left long before sunrise, in fact she'd been flying most of the night. The dragon group was a distance off, and nestled in the rocks and caves made entirely of glass made them even harder to locate. She'd been communicating with one who was leading her to them though he didn't know it and finally, she spotted what she thought was movement. Still in Jae's form, she landed, lifting her head back and giving a roar to alert them to her presence. Dragons were such difficult creatures sometimes....honestly. Eating a muffin from Galley, Cyvalor skipped along the upper deck without a stitch of clothing on whatsoever. The sun beat down and warmed what scaling he had and he shifted uncomfortably a few times as his own body temperature rose to attempt to adjust. Rahsaveer hadn't left beneath the deck all night. That barrier was still up and he was waiting for Eilynne's return, rather surprised that it was taking as long as it was. Then again, she couldn't teleport without a definite location and she didn't have that because she'd never been to this area before. Thus, it was the traditional mode of transportation for her. Sitting back in a corner, keeping an eye on Jaebelltiah and the still comatose Kaznec, he ran a hand through his hair and stayed alert. More than once, Jae had been far more feral than he felt comfortable with. But he had a job to do and he'd get it done.

Logan sighed a little as he kept himself hidden in what little shade there was on deck cause by the sun being off over to the left a little. The crew had things well running and they didn't need his help but Logan was keeping an eye on things around the ship. His above average senses sometimes came in handy when they could be used. Still the heat was a pain, even in the small amount of shade he had the halfling was still sweating hard, though he hoped the sooner they got out of the glass sea would they be better off, if no one was waiting for them of course.

She had never felt so hot in her life. What happened to that 'elves don't feel temperatures unless they're hightly uncomfortable' factor. That onlyleft the conclusion that things were highly uncomfortable and it was probably an accurate assumption. Even Chylithair refused to fly anywhere and stayed tucked away. Unfortunately for all of them, they were being forced to take shelter above deck where they could. Steps sounded heavy and everyone's breathing was off. This was horrid. Tugging on her hood a bit more to try and shade more of her face she stretched her legs out to try and find a new comfortable position.
"I'm going to cook from the inside out." Waving at her face with her hat, looking for some relief even if it was merely cooling the sweat that she was already practically soaking with. A bit of creative draping of extra canvas and the like was providing a bit of deck shade at the least for them though it wasn't too dramatic a drop in temperature between light and shade. She was stripped down to the barest of layers as well by this point. "Give out another round of water and let's stay on course." Which she didn't even know what...but that she elf kept looking at that compass so it must have meant something. A blink and a chuckle at the little bare dragonling that was perhaps the happiest on board. "If only we could all feel that comfortable."
The fight that was indeed in her was giving out on her though as her body was being taxed. Whatever this power exertion thing that she couldn't really shut off was doing was taking it's toll on her along with her constant temperature adjusting as the heat tried to seep down to where they were. Lack of food, water and sleep was also making her calmer. Now she sort of just swayed with the motion of the sand and bumps and stayed where hse was.
Sky had taken up residence on the Chimera and was currently trying to stay tucked away in what shadow that the main mast did provide. She did not like this at all and didn't like even more that things were strange everywhere right now.
While they were treking through glass and sand they were being checked out as well. Though those watchign them were all but invisible and had quickly decided they weren't worth the time.
However this new sound and so close to their own nesting places caused a few of them to raise their heads and look in thier natural forms while others stood on them in neutral, looking onward as well at this new dragon in their midst. Fear was not something to be found in this patch of dragons as shown as a few of them ventured foward while others watched on protectively.
Unlike their ship bound counterparts, more jewelry was being worn than clothing in their neutral forms, shiny metallic scaling mostly silvers in the bunch, covering everything a human might consider modest or vulnerable. Digigrade feet supported their weight and it was clear that even their hands were half transformed to retain a more dangerous talon appeal.
She approached first and foremost, giving investigating looks. Bright silver scaling like high polished mithril armor and a strip of bronzed flesh down the center or her body to her navel, eyes rimmed in a bold teal that also made several other marking on her face and body. "Svabol re wux tenpiswo ihk."

Hunter was stripped down to skivvies, he didn't care for modesty in this heat. and most the crew was wearing little to nothing as well, and still he had problems with keeping people from passing out from heat exhaustion. barrels of water were out on the deck, and ladels set for crew to use as needed, Mister Richards making sure no one got greedy about it. Someone getting greedy could cost another thier life.
"I hope she knows where she's going."
Hunter leaned forward on the helm, watching the landscape as best he could. most of them now had goggles on that had been tinted black...paid a heavy price for them at that atoll but now they knew why it was so nice to have them.
"Have the excess goggles sent to Gem. she might not have bought any, might help her."
Desdemona had been, like the star girl, flying since early morning. the sun was still making her uncomfortable, and she'd chosen the opposite area to cover, giving out a low and long rumbling sound on occasion, the 'I'm in need of help, please' call, in the tone that gave the emergency urgence to it. She wasn't having any luck, but she hope the other one was. which is why she chose to go a different way, just in case she wasn't successful that one of them may have better luck.

He could tell these temps were above normal by the reactions of the humans. They were all looking quite pitiful, hard to move and stripped down to almost nothing. He himself was feeling it though probably not nearly as much as the humans were. He watched Savryn move once more and shook his head. There was no way in hell she could remain in all that clothing. Strolling over, he stripped off his tunic and dropped down beside her. "Strip, Vryn. You won't feel any cooler but you won't be dying either."
Eilynne settled on her haunches, much smaller than most of the others and far paler to be sure. She was white and they were silver and she could only imagine how the real Jaebelltiah would feel.' "si tepoha confn ekess ask ihk douta letoclo mrith vi isthasy darastrix." Glancing around at the others and the place. Pausing a moment and then giving a bow of her head to show deference. "Our fellow firebreather is fire himself. The sun harms him. We were told you might be able to help."
He was still watching over her, well aware of her vanishing resources. She was going to need food and sleep very soon but he couldn't remove the barrier alone and it would prevent any from leaving the same way it would prevent those from coming down. He needed Eilynne to remove it but for now, he approached slowly and held out a skein of water. "Drink, Jaebelltiah. It will do your body and Kaznec's good." She was using up her own water storage for that ice she'd formed and keeping her body temperature regulated was the only current way she could keep Kaznec's down.
They too had been watching their sudden visitor closely. She didn't seem threatening and appeared to be quite determined. That sound alerted them all and spread quickly through the ranks.
Sunning himself on the rocks, wearing nothing but thick armplates over his biceps and well placed jewels over his more intimate areas, he glanced out and growled low in his throat in warning. Banging his staff against the rocks, he alerted his tribe and came forward tentatively. "wux sweekmon letoclo?" She was a dragon, she should know draconic, and if not, he'd repeat himself in common.
He was so blasted hot he thought he was going to die. And even through it, he was still confused. There was too much going on, too much to question. Hunter had used his grandfather to save his own skin. It was pathetic really. But he had a crew to take care of and he took the goggles with a simple nod. They had a few but not enough, especially now that certain others had climbed on board. Walking over to Logan, he held out a pair. "These will help your eyes."
