Yukia would take advantage of the close target. "Chrome use Double Edge!" She cried out and looked to the Shieldon wanting to see the Durant to be taken down quickly. The girl would try to catch the Durant when it was weakened if she could if not it would be more battle experience for her and Chrome her Shieldon.
The Shieldon stamped her hooves and charged ahead with her whole strength. She wanted to make sure her Double Edge hit hard and fast.

Not one to miss an opportunity in the wake of the Shieldon's failed strike the Durant would charge, snapping his pincers over one of her legs in a Vicegrip!

Yukia gritted her teeth at the failed attack it was a close target and should have been an easy hit but it seems she was not to have much luck today. She then closes her eyes and lets out her command "Its just a vicegrip it shouldnt break your hide at all"
Shieldon wouldnt have been able to dodge anyways as she was right up at the Durant and she would need much more time than what she had to speed up to get away. She pushed her head forward to use her harder face plates to stop the attack.

Indeed the Durant came closer to breaking it's own teeth than the Shieldon's hide as it's pincers snapped down. Rather than remaining stationary as it had before however the Durant would charge off, using it's many limbs and other abilities to scale the wall in an attempt to evade whatever sort of attack the girl tried to throw at him next!!

Yukia grinned as she saw the Durant nearly break its own pincers on Chrome's extremely hard face plate. She thought as fast as she could but she felt that Scary Face was slightly useless right now. She then closes her eyes and lets out her command "Alright use another Double Edge!"
Shieldon stamped her hooves again and charged ahead wanting to prove her worth, she was wanting to make this ant before it climbed the wall to feel pain like no other.

Unfortunately for the Shieldon the Durant's grip was a fair bit better than her ability to slam into a wall. Yet the insect wasn't about to pass up this opportunity! Jaws already sparking with electric current the Durant would release the wall, dropping down and aiming to land upon Chrome's back! This was about to turn into a rodeo, and if the Shieldon wasn't careful she was in for quite the shocking experience!

Yukia tried to think of what to do, she was not a good tactician but she did understand a strong defense was a great start to keep in a battle. "Chrome just hang in there!" She cried out not knowing what to do just at this moment.
The shieldon pushed back on the wall as she tried to turn so the Durant wouldnt land on her back but next to her. She pushed more and turned her body to the right, would it be fast enough one could not tell just yet.

As luck would have it the Durant would still manage to land on the Shieldon's back, but rather than the intended snap about her neck the insect would find himself facing her backside, his pincers cutting into air rather than flesh. Six legs scrambling the Durant would use the Shieldon's small tail like a ramp and begin heading down the tunnel. He clearly wasn't just running away, but he also had no intention of keeping close!

As the Durant ran down the tunnel Yukia thought she should at least try to keep it in the battle. "Chrome hit it with a double Edge before it gets away!" She called out as she watched it hurrying.
Stomping her hooves she spun around and the Shieldon began to charge down the tunnel after the Durant. She tried to catch it before it got too far away, and she intended to pound it into the wall.

With his back turned the Durant would never see the Pokemon coming, the Shieldon striking a thunderous blow as she slammed him into the wall to be crushed beneath her weight. Numerous cracks would appear spread-out across the whole of the Durant's outer shell. Rather than allow itself to be crushed however the Durant would retaliate, using it's many legs, pincers, and anything else it could flail to kick up dirt in a Sand-attack!

Yukia winced at the sight of the cracks in the Durant's outer shell. She could see that it was hurt badly and she figured after she got Chrome away from the sand that was now flying everywhere that she would try to catch it. "Chrome that is a sand attack your hide will do nothing to protect your eyes dont let it get in your eyes" She called out as she did not want to have her Shieldon blinded.
The dirt being kicked up would be spewed straight at her face and being a slow pokemon the Shieldon did not know if she could turn her face fast enough to not get the dirt in her eyes. Oh this would sting badly if she got hit by it, though it would do nothing more than to make it harder for her to see for a little while.

Disregarding the less than helpful advice of the Shieldon's trainer, there would be little she could do in order to evade this particular attack. Sand and grim would cling to the membrane of her eyes, stinging and filling them with tears. The result was that her vision became blurred, making it all the harder to focus on the Durant who was now attempting to run around her to the backside.

Yukia gritted her teeth and smiled "Oh your not getting away ant" She called out as she pulled out a pokeball and decided to make an attempt to capture this Durant. "Your going to be mine!" She threw the pokeball as hard as she could hitting the durant in the head with it. It was sucked into the pokeball and the ball began to shake, once, twice, and thrice, would it click or would the durant break free the girl did not know but she watched it intently.
The shieldon let out whimpering cries as she shook her head trying to get the stuff off her. She blinked her eyes trying to make the stinging pain to alliveate.
Once, twice, thrice the ball would shake; but after such a beating the Durant honestly didn't have much fight left in him. It would only be mere seconds after the third shake that the PokeBall's central button would turn a solid red, emitting a deep tone before blinking off. Yukia had done it, she'd managed to catch her first Pokemon!
Yukia now having caught the Durant, was felling ecstatic. She walked over to the now caught Durant and picked up the pokeball. "Well now, after a rough start seems I am doing pretty well now, I think I shall call you Soldier" She was talking mainly to herself she looked over at Chrome and walked over to the pokemon and bent down to help clean out her eyes. "There there its gonna be okay, now back into the pokeball you go, and off I go" She recalled Chrome before the Shieldon could protest. She turned her head and looked at which path she should take. She decided just to head down the straight path instead of any paths that crooked off from it. She stood up holding two pokeballs. She clicked them both onto her belt and walked down the path.
