Blake...Lively....??
Really...?
Where's Lois? I believe a pity party is required for this kind of situation, and I think she went through a similar debacle. crying
Other than Hollywood continuing to piss me off, with casting decisions that see actresses getting younger and younger, and leading men getting older and older, work has been keeping me busy.
Thankfully, they finally hired a lab manager, so I will be able to focus on science, rather than annoyingly stupid tax and purchasing department bs! Just as soon as I train her, anyway. sweatdrop

So, in my studies in global organized crime I have come to find out something rather distressing; I live in the city with the highest concentration of organized crime syndicates per capita in the world. Don't get me wrong here, I've known since before I moved here that there's a lot of gang activity from independent local gangs to the Yakuza, Triads, and Hell's Angels. But, the highest concentration in the world? Goddamn.

I have at least 3 scarves to make on order. I can't get to the yarn store until Thursday, so to pass the time, I've started knitting charity items for hospitals. First thing up, tiny baby hats for preemies and babies in the NICU for St Louis Children's Hospital. I've already been in contact with the hospital and they gave me a list of what they're accepting/looking for. I'm going to wait to get a bunch before mailing them off. I'm using up the last of my pink baby yarn before moving to boy colors. So far, I have two cute little baby hats. One is a simple, tiny ribbed hat and the other one has a heart embossed looking design knit into the side.
Maybe I can't have one of my own, but maybe I can do something to help someone else.

Is anyone here live in California? And if there is, I strongly dislike your planet. Redeem it to me by listing it's good qualities.

It is! Good point. But I could remove you, and then fire bomb the planet from orbit.

Here in Hawaii it's school budget cuts and then furlough Fridays. So we've got the lowest test scores in America, with some of the lowest paid teachers, plus now we're missing something like 25 school days on top of the normal holidays, summer, and spring break. WOOOOOOOOOO HAWAII.
And of course you're friends want to leave because it is California. I have met a lot of wonderful people from California. And I have met a lot more people I can not stand from California. I just want to know why.
