Misfit-Wishes I play the flute. and its REALLY boring usually. if it isnt boring the music is uber hard. *screams* FLUTE SUCKS! =] NUH UH! flute is the best instrument on the planet, other than trumpet and piccilo. Why, I play fun music like Jazz, Swing, Rock, and Latin music! Flute's only boring for you because you don't feel like you're having fun while doing it and because of that you don't TRY hard enough. Either that or you didn't take private lessons. It took private lessons and that was the best. If you DID take private lessons, well then, you had a really crappy and mean teacher. No offence.

our flute section sucks! half of them don't take private lessons (so they can barely even play the basic Bb scale!) and there really fat and all they talk about is food! gonk *cringes*

i play flute! i've been playing flute for six years now and next year it will be seven. i mostly play it for marching cause my instructor made me learn a new instrument for concert. apparently there were too many flutes freshman year and now that senior year is starting there are barely any. cry so ya it sucks.

OMG!...There's a lot of flute players in here! haha...I'm one of them!...not anymore but i do practice on occasion! I need to! I don't want to forget how to play...although the fingerings are still in my fingers and i still have plenty of compositions memorized...so I'm still good! I love Flute! heart and Piccolo....in marching season...but that's about it for piccolo..haha too loud for me. My neighbors use to complain when I practiced...I didn't practice for like..15 mins...i practiced for 4-5 hours at the most..hahah...so they had to put up with that..it was SWEET!.. xp

Keltzy Either I am blind and didn't read the board right, or there are no flute topics. I saw other instrument topics so I thought I'd make one too. Um flute players, any of out there? Today was our first day of school and my first day playing with a different band. I was different, probably 'cause most the class forgot their instruments. sweatdrop We played pep band music, and I felt weird, 'cause the other two flutes were organizing stuff . . . But enough of my ranting, please, come talk!! i play flute!! and kinda tombone.. chat?

I've been playing for what, six years now.
Never had a private teacher, which I'm glad of.
I play bari sax as well now 3nodding but flute's still my favourite.

hey dont worry your not the only ones out there who play the flute!!!! i too am a flutist so dont feel alone!!!! i have been playing almost 4 years now , so i guess thats pretty awesome smile !!! and im going to band camp for a week in july ,.... FLIPPIN SWEET!!! PEACE OUT_ biggrin
