I have a Latin-English Dictionary. I use it for inspiration when I need to come up with a character name sometimes. Not for my two characters in this guild, though. Trask is the name of a giant lizard boss from the Wild Arms games and Zadiel is the name of some kind of angel. He might have been important, but I can't remember; the name just sounded cool.

Well, the -iel suffix is always a good way to go for an angel. :3
When naming my characters, I often use meanings either to match their personality or contrast it. I dubbed my shyest character "Phineas", which means "loud". Also, you just know a guy is doomed to failed romance with a horriblly dramatic name like "Arthur Merlin". wink
Knowing bits and pieces of an obscure native language doesn't hurt, either. For example, Kahkus is crow (not to be confused with kahkakuhs, which is "annoying noise"... see the connection? Hee), Akkatale is an expression of surprise, Cipi is a prefix meaning fearsome or ugly... I've used all of these. ^_^
Of course, Syshe Sen (my most recent charrie) means "Street lotus"... I dunno where that came from. O_o

Eeeeeeenteresting. I love how your names all have meanings. Mine, I just make up and hope that they sound right XD. It's...rather interesting. Actually, usually, I just name them Yolanda and get it over with. However, I've been making up names more often lately...wonder why...

Lol, bullcrap is the way to go! But recently I've been using suffixes/prefixes with meanings, just to see how they turn up. Not for RPs though...I dont have time anymore! *sobs* They were for a story I was writing...but have abandoned due to lack of time as well *sniffs*
So I guess I'll be away again...I hope to be able to see you guys occasionally..take care! *hugs all*
