You think like I do. I'm wondering if I should grade farm to buy some sweet options from the New Game+ Grade Shop. (10x EXP modifier...*drool*) Everything I want costs 7205 grade. mrgreen Just for my 2nd playthrough. xd ...Totally. ^^; ...I only have like 500 grades right now, and you get 1k to finish the game. I thought about the 10x EXP, but I just won't have enough. And besides, ToS is so rich in story that you never really notices how fast you level. It's not like Pokemon, when you just have to b*tchtrain your party from lvl 50 to 60 so that you can take on the elite 4... I didn't even try hard to train and I'm confident to be able to beat the final 2. It's Abyssion that I'll havew to b*tchtrain for. On what lvl did you beat him? With who and...how much grade did you lose? ^^;; I lost like 4 to the 3rd sword dancer... I'm just thinking of getting, in the grade shop, every small features, like transfer battle data to build up the devils arms, cooking and recipe infos, map data and such(I have no sense of direction in ToS, remember). As for the 1k grade you get at the end... I think I'll transfer the titles instead of the techs, just so that I can see Kratos running around in his judgment outfit even at the start. That's my main reason to waste 1k grade. xD I'm serious.

First, if you have say like 17 grades left after grade shopping, can you transfer it to the next game? How evil is Abyssion? Did you ever finish the monster/figurine/item book? Win with everyone in the advanced singles mode in Colisseum(...how in HELL can Raine win? ^^;; )? And are the special guests from other Tales of series in party fights as evil as some says?...K, more than just A FEW, but... Answer them if you have nothing to do, thanks!~ ^^;

I think grade either transfers automatically or there's something you have to buy to make it transfer...I don't remember.
Very evil. And by the time you finish getting pounded to within an inch of your life, you'll agree with me completely. :minigrin:
No, I never finished any of the three; I'm close on all three (mostly due to having played through five+ times, not any effort on my part :minisweat smile but I've never actually gotten off my lazy butt and finished them.
Yes, I've won with every character in the Colisseum; it's the only way to get their final weapons. To use Raine, you have to get the EX Skill "Concentrate", which makes it so her spellcasting can't be interrupted, and then spam Photon, Holy Lance, Ray, or some combination of the three. Don't forget First Aid, either, and some accessories like a Blue Talisman and that charm which makes spellcasting go faster...I don't remember what it's called. "Concentrate" is...a fusion of all four skills from the lvl4 group, I think. Don't take my word for it; one of the lvl3 skills might have been mixed in.
Wha...? Oh, yeah. The final party fight. Yeah, if your team isn't very strong, you don't have the Devil's Arms, and you're not used to working in a three-man unit instead of a four-man one, it can get tough. Just concentrate on downing the healer, then the spell caster, and finally the warrior...just make sure the warrior doesn't go after Raine while you're not paying attention. If you don't have Raine or she goes down, you are so majorly screwed it's not even funny.
O_o How the heck did this "little" explanation section get so long?

Abyssion is not so evil if you are lvl 70+ and you use an All-Divide. Plus, Raine is (as Astarael put it), the Angel of Mercy here. My party was around 75. The battle will just be so very long. @w@ I beat him in 17 minutes, losing only 0.96 grade. I thought that was odd... O~O
I haven't finished any of those books yet. My monster book, I'm like 90% done with. And I can't seem to get the Pink Pearl Ring sidequest to show up for me. I wonder if I need to have Zelos in my party for that.
I haven't tried the Colosseum yet...I'm b*tchtraining for that... XD

@Astarael: Lvl...45? o_o;; How much grade did you lose? 10 or so? ^^; I know I'd lose like 30... (I took on the first sowrd dancer at lvl 11. Lost like 7 grades...)=_=;; I've heard that a guy pwned Abyssion with a lvl9 Colette. *shudders* those are like... top pros or something... o___o;;; As for Raine, I HAVE Concentrate, except that the rogue in BEGINNER class still PWNed her... >>; Ray is too inaccurate, I outta try the tech glitch out and get holy lance... =P
@Azura: ONLY 0.96 O_O Wow... My party is around lvl 65 or so... I think I'll try my luck...when I get back. Maybe Lloyd is the easiest to control... I've tried Presea out too. Regal almost never is i my active party. ^^;
...Look at the bright side, mastering Kratos will make Zelos that much easier... ^^;;
The pink pearl quest? I got it easy... But I don't recall when it was. I was dropping by Sybak to buy ingredients to spamcook meals for stars when I got near Joshua and he started talking... ^^;
Ooh ohh! How the HELL does Sheena beat Kuchinawa? =_= I can never get behind him... My Sheena was lvl 59 when I TRIED to fight him, so maybe there's a problem there too ^^;; I outta try to see if the quest is still available after getting the Derris Emblem later...
