((*sigh*))
Joe sighed. "Well, I think we'll need a guide if we're going to do that. And I think I know just the giant chick for the job." Joe began trying to ride the leyline back to the Drakken plane. (Or however that worked.)

It's easier for shadow mages, the Gauntlets commented when nothing happened. Jacob began.
Joe glanced to the side and thought he saw something moving in the dist-
Sure enough, they were back on the platform again. Joe could see the Drakken village a short distance away.
((They're not all Drakken there. For instance, there are villages near leylines through, say, the Alps, though the Crossover-reality geography places it a substantial distance away, as well as through jungles or other biomes. Every biome has a different effect on people near it.))

Joe groaned. Man. Can't even do that. "All right, people!" he shouted, feeling the mana return to him. "We need to get moving, so we're heading that way!" He pointed to the village. "Is everyone ready to move?"

Paul shrugged and kept moving. Perhaps there would be something fancy down here. He made his movement careful, slow, and quiet, checking for opposition everywhere he went.

"How do we get over this?" the businessman asked, pointing at the seven-foot gap between the platform they were on and the next. -- There was no sign of any other life (or death). Paul came across what appeared to be a very dimly lit conference room with a circular table. In the center was an odd symbol.

Oh, ho...
Paul began looking for both other clues as to what precisely this was, and more importantly a way to barricade the stairs without blowing them up. If it came to that, though...

Joe waved his hands and was startled as the Wind jumped instantly to his command. "Wow," he murmured. "Now," he said, turning to the people. "I need everyone to just trust me, OK? Just do what I do, and walk where I walk." With that, he walked backwards off the platform. The Wind kept him up, as though on an invisible bridge.
((Whaaaaaat? Marco wants to explore Black Century!))

There was a chair at each of seventeen positions around the table. Paul didn't hear any pursuit.

Marco, tired of waiting, peeked out the door. Once the GA was turned away, he made a dash for the box again, figuring it was the only place that Paul could still be.

Marco made it unseen, the Grand Armor blocking the sight of the arriving Knights and Augmented Engineers. He saw the hole in the box and followed the stairs down, encountering Paul at the table.
((I'm heading out after one more BD post.))

Shrugging, Paul kicked out a chair, but most definitely didn't sit down. That would just be stupid. No, instead he kicked out all the chairs, bent down to check under the table... whatever.

Marco went over to the table and looked down at the symbol. He brushed it lightly with his fingers.
