*Walking into the area where the famed Black Company should have stood, was a rather tall woman, raven black hair waving lightly in the wind. As the woman walked, it was apparant that she was not your average, woman. Petite sure, but the black and crimson wings folded against her back marked her to be of some sort of Angelic descent. Her clothing was quite elegant and easily expensive, but not extravagant. The oddities would not stop there, however, for her eyes were a slate gray that seemed lifeless, yet completely aware of what surrounded her. Her gait was easy going, almost languid, yet purposeful, her feet unhindered by shoes or even sandals. Also, tatoos twined around her wrists, belly, and upper chest, a deeper crimson than her wings. Upon her brow rested a crimson, almost sinister looking circlet that shimmered in the light as if it were moving, or something inside it were moving.

Expressionless as her face was, she seemed to have no emotions. Her eyes did lock, however, on the battle that seemed to unfolding in the crater where the Black Company Dojo would normaly have stood. The absense of the building perplexed her, but this did not show on her face at all. With those slate gray, cold, lifeless eyes she watched the goings on with apparantly no real interest. It was all just happening and she was just there.*

Tegral's immediate reaction to Mugiri's little disappearing act was to shoot off a rather vulgar string of swear words. That urge died quickly as Tegral's threat detectors registered an attack, warned his central processing unit, and flung his systems into combat mode. Plasma crackled in the barrel of his cannon as it recharged after it's last dispurse. His sonic cannon reconfigured itself into his left arm and he promptly angled his body so he could lash his arm out and try and secure the shaft of Mastema's prized sythe.

Shoulder pads clicking the release for the pez missiles in Tegral's shoulder shot upwards, a laser device watching for the soonest possible moment that the missile cleared itself, and fired. At first it was just two, a missile from each shoulder, fire errupting over his shoulder and stream lining towards Mastema.

::Tyrsais would simply stand back, and watch the battle go on between his comrades, and Tegral. For whatever reason occured to him at the time he was not going to bother to get involved in it. He was actively looking around the area though. It was possible he was looking for something in specific.::

*Mastema's exposure to technological combat had been relatively recent, and he wasn't always sure just how much damage they could do to him. He could recover from explosions though, that he knew, but it was still bothersome to have to recover from such inflicted wounds. However, Mastema had a plan of attack and he had to make some sacrifices to make it work. Tegral actually facilitated the plan. As the two missles launched, Mastema's speed and direction would allow him to pass one, but the second would catch him in the elbow of the arm which held the scythe. Mastema would be blown back, and would recover his orientation in mid fall, but his right forearm and scythe would fall right into Tegral's grip, since he had aimed to catch the shaft of the scythe. Upon contact, the arm and scythe would dissolve into the red sludge Mastema was known for, as Mastema's plan went into motion. The sludge would crawl along Tegral's body with swift speed, trying to enter any opening in his armor and attack his inner structure. Another blot of it would separate from the rest and leap, so to speak, at Tegral's face and attempt to cover his eyes in order to block his sensors at least partially. Mastema himself did not restore his arm but reserved his energy to counter attack Tegral's next move*

The pez missiles slid shut as the red goo attacked Tegral. Electrical surges passed through his body, his internal circuitry finding the goo to be nonlethal and thus not a threat. The plasma cannon groaned under the continual strain of Tegral's useage, but modifications to the structure held it together. An outer wordly light pulsed from the plasma cannon as a small red laser was discharged from the small laser blaster build into the side of his temples.

((Sorry, short post.))

*Electrical discharge seemed to have little effect on the sludge, albeit it seemed a little slower. Tegral's circuitry was making a mistake of sorts by not finding the sludge a threat. As the sludge made its way into Tegral's body, it would begin clinging to wires and electrical pathways, literally trying to sever them. More of the substance would try to make its way to Teg's CPU and other core units to disconnect them. The sludge over Teg's eyes would also try to pry into his head and disable the sensors which were connected to his eyes. Mastema's overall method was one of internal dismemberment, if you will. Mastema himself paid great attention to the plasma weapon, knowing its possible effects from the last fight. Not willing to put up with that damage, Mastema would move to another position and use telekinetic force to try and keep the arm mounted weapon from coming to bear on him*

The black mist came up through the ground, twirling in a lavish display before forming into the body of Xol. He was kneeling at the lip of the crater, eyes downcast on the ongoing battle, right gauntlet clutching the black vial tightly. The feeling of boundless knowledge was seeping out of his tightly fisted gauntlet. It told him all anwsers would be told, all problems would be solved if he just brought it's glassy rim to his lips and downed it's contents.

There was no distinct line between good and evil anymore to Xol, just shades of gray. Light and dark shades. It was the truly strong who could grasp the darkness in their hand and control it to their bidding.

The vial was telling him that his release would come. His heavy chains would break and his mind freed once it's contents had safely been spilled into his gullet... and he believed it. No more would he be a pawn to the light or dark shades of gray. It was time to grasp the blackness and hold it to his chest, nuture it untill they merged into one being.

The vial told him it would be so and so he did.

Without a second thought, Xol snapped the glass top off the vial and downed the thick, black liquid.

It had begun...

*The woman maintained her lifeless gaze at the combat occuring in the crater. It was difficult to tell whether she even realized other people had been coming to the area, such as the man whom had formed himself in a black cloud then drank some liquid. She barely seemed interested, if those dead eyes could be said to even have ever looked interested. The only obvious thing was that she didnt see anything important here and began to walk off, as if there wasnt a battle raging maybe one hundred feet away as well as two other men that could pose a threat, were they to take it into their heads to attack her. As she walked, the air behind her rippled and distorted slightly, but only for a moment as she passed. It was as if her very presense was something that normaly should not be allowed.*

There was a brief spanse of nothingness before the collapse. A battle of good and evil raged in his body, the darkness tried deperatley to swallow the light and vice versa. Both were caught in a fierce stalemate as his body bulged and distorted uncontrollably. Sharp beams of black and sky blue evergy pierced out of his body, soaring through the air and entwining in some sort of unholy ballet in air. The beams formed into long tendrils continuing to entwine and sometimes combining to form one long silver strand. This went on for a good amount of time before all the tendrils glowed silver. The two energies in his body were combined. No longer holy nor demonic, he was his own creation.

Almost instaneously after the merger, a black armor formed around his body. The symbiote suit seen before in his lab before the explosion. It formed over his whole body, head and all leaving only a smooth muscular form. Two black eyes, sky blue corneas with crimson pupils now pierced over the crater as the tall-tale silver aura now burned furiously around his body. Any sand in the ground below him would begin to melt down into glass as the immense heat scorched the ground below him.

"
Mastema..." was the only word he muttered before floating down to the crater below.

*Mastema had been aware of Xol's arrival, and was rather puzzled by the effects of the black liquid. Just wonderful, Xol was making more modifications to himself. Mastema still hadn't forgotten their last encounter. Still holding back Tegral and trying to disable the cyborg, Mastema would nonchalantly respond to Xol* Solaris..... Your timing has not improved since your last demise. Try and keep this brief. *Mastema didn't even so much as turn to look at Xol*

Xol landed and instead of replying to Mastema, simply marveled at his new body. The black armor accented each and every muscle perfectly. Da Vinci nor Michelangelo could not have drawn or sculpted, respectively, a more perfect piece of art.

After the momentary laspe of concentration, he returned his gaze back to Mastema.

"Neither has your sense of humor... nevertheless, I have a proposition. Short and to the point, you're the only equal I have and therefore I wish to align with you to purge these lands. Simply put."

"Neither has your sense of humor... nevertheless, I have a proposition. Short and to the point, you're the only equal I have and therefore I wish to align with you to purge these lands. Simply put."

Xol chuckled, althout it came out distorted and dripping with some unholy snarl. His eyes bored into Mastema's own and if the being looked deep enough would see the sincerity that only another purely evil being could offer another. He was different and he knew Mas could tell this was no ploy. Xol was not here to decieve.

Metallic claws would gently dig into the earth as KB's new form approached. Standing at 7'4", most of the creature was hidden beneath a tattered cloak, the hood of which lay draped over the head. The front of the hood drooped down, to block the face - and eyesight, of the approaching creature. It still seemed to weave amongst the trees and roots with ease however as it came to the remains of the Dojo. Keeping it's body hidden, it merely stood and watched. KB needed to see the remains for himself, and the smoldering crater seemed proof enough of the Dojo's demise. The unification of K and Heritage's soul also supported that theory, and he watched with admiration as the two danced about the spiritual realm free of grief. For now, all that stood to be seen was Tegral's combat usefulness and Xol's as well, and to see who would go which way for the impending war.

*Mastema knew just from the fact that Xol hadn't attacked him that he had some other motive for addressing him, but the proposition of an alliance was out of Mastema's expectancy; it was enough to make Mastema shift his eyes and turn his head towards the man. Xol's now multi colored eyes would meet the same metallic, deep red eyes Mastema always possessed in the time they'd known each other; they still gave the enigmatic feeling that they hid something more than just Mastema's past, yet they were so devoid of any clues as to this secret that one could, quite literally, lose their mind to Mastema. Though Mastema narrowed his eyes at Xol, he didn't give any indication of mistrust, and he promptly grinned* I am quite surprised to hear such a proposition, even if what you say is true. But before I answer, just what brought about this renewed desire for allegiance? Surely there is more to this than simply newfound power. Have you some ulterior motive?

Tegral's plasma cannon had been red lineing since his little bout with Sairys, the deadly potential of the weapon was lost on the ignorance of the actual substance that was produced from the orange orb and blue coil in his right bicep. They would see just how deadly it could be.

The sludge would have a hard time actually finding any of Tegral's primary curcuitry, since it didn't have a damn clue what to look for. Tegral's structure was probably, almost a hundred precent actually, different then what Mastema was probably useing in his units. What might have looked like a CPU was probably just a storage unit, or hell probably something less vital like a surge node.

Had Tegral actually cared about the sludge that covered his eyes he would have simply used the temple mounted beam weapon to fry it off, but as it is he really didn't. All he cared about was the shielding systems on his primary fusion power generator crumpling under the strain Tegral was putting it through. All he wanted was the radioactive seepage that spewed from Tegral's secondary and teraterry reactors. He felt a tightness in his chest, pain receptors blowing under the stress.

They would see power when Tegral exploded shortly. New body, new powers, old power, old body. It didn't matter...Tegral's body was about to blow a massive, radioactive, rift in the planet and reduce the surrounding area in a glowing, charred black, bowl of dust. Either that or he'll burn the ozone to a cinder and erase all life on the planet...which'd work all right too.

"No, no... this has nothing to do with newfound power. That vial was just my escape. This was already here within me, the liquid was just the catalyst. On to your main question though. I have nothing left and therefore I have everything to gain. Casting aside what I once was has allowed me see what I truly desire and that is to cleanse the lands of those whom are unworthy to walk it."

His eyes were locked with Mastema's, never moving from his piercing gaze and meeting it with his own. It was a no-brainer that given their past he would be apprehensive, but this was as genuine as an evil b*****d could get with another equally evil b*****d under the cirumstances.

Xol turned to see Tegral now, looking as if he were about to go critical like the last time they had fought. He knew what the consequaneces would be if the man/machine in front of him exploded and he was going to make sure that didn't happen.

With a blur of movement, Xol was in front of Tegral, his left gauntleted hand at his chest. A black tear would open up behind the man as a rift to the nether world was opened. A solid punch to the chest sent the crital mass into the rift and but a mere moment later it would close behind him.

Xol stood straight and turned to face Mas.
