Mugiri moved quickly once the robot spotted him, the white sword rose like a dorsal fin from the ground, tying to cut the robot in half. At the last second, Mugiri jumped from the shadow form, and pointed the sword down, like a pin missile. If he hit, it would go right through the sensor, not destroying the contraption, but making it virtually blind. If it missed or was deflected, hed land on one knee, and study the creature for a split second before moving on

The slash would bring nothing but a shower of sparks, as the drone recoiled back. One of the lenses was shattered, that portion of sensory equipment dying out instantly. The drone wasn't there on a violent mission, but the man had attacked it while it tried to locate and preserve survivors. A heavy thrumming sound could be heard as the two barrels mounted on the upper section came to life. A dull golden glow would be seen from inside, as from the top of the unit a pair of machineguns slid out. The unit would attempt a lock, using one of the other lenses. If it couldn't achieve a lock via simple optical means, the readouts of the area and thermal registerring would probably make the man known. It would take only a moment for the machine guns to start up, causing a spray of fire to gout from the barrels as shells rattled against the metal top of the unit. The unit would sidestep in an effort to flank the man, as the machine guns fired with automated accuracy from their mounted positions. If they missed, they'd be chewing up the earth around the man, if even one bullet hit, it'd be capable of tearing a massive hole. For these guns weren't simple assault rifles, no, they were mounted cannons. The energy weapons still had yet to come alive however, for now they simply purred in anticipation.

Mugiri ran to his left barely outrunning the bullets. He used the wind to start a small tornado around the machine, and to create a sort of shield for himself from the bullets, swaying them slightly to another direction behind him. Mugiri drew a simple grenade out of his puch, and chucked it underneath the machine. A bolt of electricity shot out from nowhere, and lit the fuse. Mugiri drew his white sword as he ran.

The wind would slap against the machine in a futile effort. The bullets would not be sent astray for they cleared the wind section at a high speed, not to mention they wouldn't be in the one spot long enough for wind to have much effect. The four legs also held steady, keeping the unit from even swaying. The grenade however caused the unit some slight grief. A quick and suprisingly agile movement would have one of the unit's legs reach down to bat the child off to the saide, the child being Kaiden. Such an act might have damaged the boy, but the damage done by being sent flying several feet would be much less then that of a grenade. Even so, as the grenade exploded the unit stumbled to the side, the underbelly having been scorched and scraped. Luckilly the underbelly had taken the brunt of the damage, and the legs were intact. If anything, it simply meant the plasma wepaons would have to be examined before use.
Even so, the machine guns continued to hail lead upon the foe. At the same time, the two main cannons came to life. Golden orbs of pure energy would be hurled at the man, about a foot in diameter. The two were parallel to each other, and as such the pair of cannons were firing an orb each every moment. The result would be a continued hail of the orbs that followed after the man. The distance inebtween the orbs was about 2 feet, though the unit would adjust as neccesary to keep someone from simply standing between the two cannons. Whatever was hit by the orbs would burst into flame briefly as it was turned into ash.

"Goddamnit." Mugiri gasped, slightly losing his breath now. Every few seconds hed have to jumped a plasma blast, and bat away several bullets with his sword. He shot bolts of lightning as big as his arm out of the sky onto the machine guns, hoping to knock at least one offline. He noticed the boy when the robot'kicked' it, and stopped using the wind in a tornado, instead, he blew stones and debris from the dojo at the robot, battering and pummeling it. One of the onbjects he threw was his own burnt up copy of his book into the machine guns. He circled the robot once more, and tried to make a quick cut towards the boy.

The arcane shield would shimmer briefly, a skyblue sphere around the unit being revealed for only a moment. However, the properties of the bolts weren't all lost, no, only the arcane weavings of them would be stopped. The energy of the bolts would smash the machineguns, causing their munitions to explode in the chambers and effectively destroy the weapons. In reaction to that, the guns would slide back down into the unit as the coverings snapped shut.
The debris were an entirely different matter. They slammed into the metal chassis with full force, causing the unit to stumble backwards. As it did so, it altered it's firing pattern to simply destroy the larger incoming chunks. It seemed the drone was being pushed back about 5-7 ft, just enough for the man to get to the child.

He grabbed the child by the back of the neck, not slowing down. With his other hand, he took a swipe at the side of the plasma cannon barrell. He tugged the kid up into his left arm, his right still holding the sword. "Youll be fine kid." he whispered. Lightning still struck at the machine on the back. Mugiri still circled the machine, its blasts easier to dodge as it was mainly shooting the debris. he was breathing a hard "Haff...Haff....Haff" He couldn't do this for much longer, but he was almost sure he could end this machine.

Perhaps Murgiri could kill the machine, perhaps he could survive the exhaustion that plauged his body, but the mechanized murder would ensure that if this creature did not release Kaiden that he would not survive the day. Plasmic flames gorged upon the air of the planet, sending flickering embers dancing to the ground. These embers would not be put out gently, they would continue to burn and continue to melt into the ground. The soil around the little embers dried up, almost instantly, but the gentle red glow emmiting, not from the orange blue flames of the plasma but, from the motlen earth would follow suit in a little while.
Violent screams errupted in Tegral's ears as the Sonic cannon pushed it's ampiflification units to their max. The plasma cannon graphed into his right arm stood on the red line, threatening to explode.
Damn KB and his cursed nanny program. Protect Kobei...Protect Eva...Protect Kaiden. That damn program was the ONLY reason Tegral hadn't left Kaiden to die on the Citadel's battle field. The ONLY reason why he didn't blast down Kobei and the children right off the get go. Damn KB and his bloody programming!
Tegral's left arm came up and locked onto the fool's head. A highly concentrated pulse, the sound waves packed so close together they became a solid...a pointed solid. He shouted but one sentance as he trained his second, more powerful cannon, onto the bot. He could think of two people, right off the back of his head, who could engineer a creature of this, and neither of them were on Tegral's favorite buddy's list. His voice came out droned, but very, very, pissed off. "Drop the god damned kid!" Tegral didn't add the god damned part just to be mean or cruel, the fact of the matter was anything spawned from KB was damned by god himself. Perverbially pissed on the face by the great Alpha and Omega himself, if you will.

The swordslash would bring another shower of sparks, but the damage wasn't too bad. The majority of the wepaon lay within the drone, the barrel seemed to be more for looks than anything. Of course, the unit would turn to try and follow the man, as more bolts of energy lashed at it's backside, scorching the metal plating. Hardly enough to destroy the thing, though the heat levels were a slight annoyance. That man aside, Tegral had come into play. Tegral was incredibly easy to identify, and the unit registered the odds of survival against Tegral as infavorable in the least. Especially given that Tegral's more powerful weapon was locked onto the unit, and would cause severe damage. Deciding to submit for now, the machine simply fought defensively, blowing away debris that attempted to hit it. It wouldn't shoot at Mugiri since the man held Kaiden in his grasp.

Mugiri, seeing Tegral, and realizing that he could do no more to the bot, he gave it all for a final sprint to the opposite side of the crater from Tegral, he held the kid in both arms, as to protect him and use him as a shield against Tegral. For some reason Tegral wanted him, and that would be protection enough. Whe Mugiri got sprinting, he was almost blurring by how fast he was going, though due to exhuastion he couldn't keep it up for long.

All the while this was happening, Kaiden has awoken on the scene, and was horrified to say the least.
Only because he was in shock, did he not cry out. Being hurled up into the grip of a man who was trying to save him, Kaiden looked about himself, and spotted the mechanical annoyance, known as Tegral, and a drone bot which did not seem so familiar.
He did not see his mother, or his sister, and in his mind, he only got angrier.
He pulled away from the man's grip, climbing eagerly to his back, and clinging to him with all strength he had. This would free up the man's arms.
Kaiden heard Tegral mouth off a few words pertaining to him, and had decided that the man carrying him was only a ticking time bomb, and that he needed to escape before any other damage was done to him, or the man carrying him.

Given that Tegral was on the scene, and that the current weaponry equipped wasn't suitable for hostage situations, the unit purred in a low grumble as it began to stomp off towards the surrounding forest. Though, of course now it was merely a matter of the forest, not a forest surrounding the Dojo. Nevertheless, the unit was steadily marching towards the screams that it heard from within the forest, the name 'Kaiden' roughly being heard from afar. Given the pitch and tone of the scream, as well as the name, it made sense to assume that the child would be Eva.
The bot would ignore Tegral and the others as it marched off towards the girl. It seemed clear enough that the thing trusted in Tegral's sense and accuracy.

Plasma bleched out from Tegral's cannon as he swung his arm towards Mugiri. The sun-harnessed energy hurled gysers of flames into the air as it was dragged across the far end of the crater. Mugiri was going to be in a huge surprise when he found out his little human shield was going to help him about as much as a paper hat would in the current situation.
Fast as he was this fool was going to need to amp it up, severely, if he wanted to out run Tegral's highly sophisticated, state of the art, scanners. A grid fell down on the surface of the rend in the planet, a small cross hair falling down on the side of Mugiri's fleeing head, and disesembled itself as the blur raced away, only to adjust the optical sensors. Depth perception, frames per second, movement rate, and a thousand other devices Tegral could hardly even begin to fathom how the tech-heads managed to cram it behind his two brown eyes. The dark red glow of a targeting redicule flashing onto Mugiri's head.
The sonic cannon blared as an invisible spear of sonic pulse blew towards Mugiri at the speed of sound, shattering the feeble barrier with a thundering BOOM.

Mugiri spun as the blast hit his shoulder. He coughed up blood, his ears aching. He saw the plasma blast coming, but couldnt run anymore, from his ears ringing, and his shoulder was killing him. "Holy s**t, this is a predicament. He closed his eyes. Adeep rumbling could be heard, and all of a sudden, a black orb covered Mugiri and the child, spreading, ripping up the ground as Mugiri screamed in Agony. The eye on his chest bled black tears. The orb made a crater of its own. The blast hit Mugiri, and all that could be seen was an explosion of hundreds of colors, and when the dust cleared, Mugiri and Kaiden were gone...

An alliance? *Mastema grinned at the thought, just letting D go without farewells* Oh Draeken how easy you make it....... *Mastema had paid attention to this little scuffle between Mugiri and Tegral for a while, and had not felt the incentive to get involved; he wanted to see if Mugiri could handle Tegral. Apparently not* Well then.... I hope Mugiri isn't too damaged *A quiet chuckle and Mas would move forward. As he leaned forward to drop into the crater, he bit down on his right thumb and tore it clean off. Mastema's blood, otherwise known as the sludge substance he seemed to be made of, would replace the missing thumb, but while substance sprayed out of Mastema's wound, it also formed into his familiar scythe. Silent, Mastema would drop down right on top of Tegral while bringing his scythe down on the thing*
