Celestine Ravencroft Hot Caffeinated Cree brb..I have to scream for 30 minutes because of sailor moon stuff. Cel can't really scream over this one since she's not an uber fan and the items that are of interest are super overpriced (as usual). However, Cel will do a small little yippie over seeing both the original Mummy and Frankenstein films on TV. (yeah, I've become a tiny bit addicted to Svengoolie. sweatdrop ) At this point, mom thinks I'm completely nuts. I'm still waiting to see the original Dracula again. Be nice to catch the werewolf film as well. Oh yeah, I'm also the weirdo who's been watching the original Batman TV series (Adam West, anyone?) and Wonderwoman on METV on Saturdays as well. Oh, and can't forget the original Star Trek series. Yep, Cel has gone nutso. I love the Adam West Batman.

Really? You can get Svengoolie in Texas too? Awesomesauce! I had never even heard of MeTV until moving up north again, and I think Sven's show is done in Chicago. Admittedly, when I first found the MeTV channel and saw the last few minutes of Sven, I was like "Meh, what is this nonsense" but then I got a bit bored recently on Saturdays since mom works every other one, so I caved and started watching the Super SciFi Saturday lineup. Mom eyerolls when Batman comes on, but I figure she owes me that much for all the annoying British romance films she's made me suffer through. xd In any case, the Svengoolie film this coming Saturday is "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken". ????? The heck? Either way, it stars Don Knotts, who we'd all know better as Barney Fife from the Andy Griffith Show. This should be interesting.

Sup3r_Bwahaha I love the Adam West Batman. It sure as heck beats the modern Batman stuff. I don't like how dark and violent the modern takes on the old comic book classics have gotten. Back in the Adam West reign of Batman and other comic book based TV shows, it was all very corny and fun. It makes for easy watching. I've seen the Dark Knight in theaters, and I was not one bit impressed with the modern version. The film industry has just gotten a bit out of hand in my opinion.

Batman is a law abiding citizen in the Adam West version. He wouldn't hurt an innocent bystander, even if they were ducks. I remember one time, batman park by a sidewalk to go inside the building that was having a problem, and when he got out of the batmobile, he saw a sign that said "no parking." I liked how he was going to go park somewhere else until a police or security took the sign away. Then there was the time he told Robin to stay in the batmobile while he went into the bar to investigate. I love that batman.

You guys can thank me and the rest of Chicagoland for your Svengoolie addiction. Up until he started putting Svengoolie (When he took over the character in 79 he was Son of Svengoolie) on Me-TV Rich Koz primarily did the show on local Chicago UHF. And you can thank us for your Me-TV too as we launched that as a full station back in 2005. Two years earlier it was simply a block of classic television on our non English UHF channel channel 23. Because Me-TV doesn't have the rights to broadcast those Universal movies what you're seeing on Me-TV is actually a simulcast of the show from WCIU here in Chicago. The show originated back in the 70s on what is now our local FOX network affiliate WFLD Channel 32.
Here's the fun part about Svengoolie. Somebody at DC either grew up in Chicago or has connections to Chicago because he's been referenced and shown in the comics. Svengoolie is visible as an easter egg in the Justice League graphic novel JLA: Liberty and Justice, shown on a security monitor in Arkham Asylum as a patient alongside The Joker, Two-Face and the Riddler. Also the whole Berwyn thing you hear through the episodes references a local Chicago suburb and is a take off on Laugh-in's "Beautiful Downtown Burbank". And when he gets rubber chickens tossed at him after a weak joke the staff on the show lets anyone visiting a taping to help them toss the chickens at Rich.

Man I feel pretty ditzy today totally forgot I switched shifts with someone today, walked all the way to work in the snow for no reason then had to come home lol.

Ugh... Guys, I won't be able to get on Gaia as much for an indefinite period of time. My computer had trouble starting today, and after running diagnostics, I get an error code that told me my hard drive failed. :
I'll try to use other computers when I can, but for now I'll mostly be on mobile which means no towns and possibly no RP posting. :c

Oh I was bundled up, I actually tend to walk to and from work during the winter on a frequent basis I'm used to it(so long as it's not too cold or dark). It's the fact I forgot I switched that bugged me I NEVER forget when I work/switch shifts.

Man I hope I'm not coming down with anything worse than how I feel today. Had a minor fever over the night (never got passed the yellow range) and my throat has felt off all day. I've been hitting the Advil and the Cold Calm in hopes of killing the fever and knocking out the throat problems as well as laying the smack down on any congestion and possible sneezing I might have. Hopefully, I can keep down whatever we have for dinner tonight because my stomach feels a little off. Blah.
