Paul saw a staircase downward - and that the metal box was of a different material than the doors and walls he'd penetrated before.
Marco ducked into the room just before the Grand Armor could turn around.

A staircase in a box? This was weird and definitely deserved investigation. He clambered through the hole, not bothering to patch it up; no time. He kept the iPod light going, but reached back to grab his fancy hat without putting it on. It didn't produce too big of a REF, he ought to be able to at least carry it and still use magic.

Paul descended the staircase. After a 90-degree turn to the right, the iPod light became unnecessary as dim red lights lined the staircase.

Joe and Jacob (as well as all the passengers) heard a roar from somewhere in the mountains. They turned and saw an enormous bank of snow starting an avalanche.
Probably safer, the Gauntlets commented with a laugh.
((Technically, you're not in the Alps. You're next to them.
Also, how would you get the passengers over the gaps between platforms? razz ))

((Well, when you consider the complex network of points that do or don't link to different spots, you're already gonna get lost if you don't have a guide. razz Hopping through 2 Tiers without Shadowstepping would get you amazingly lost.))
